I cannot imagine 4 people living in that one dorm without a kitchen. You are living in luxury this year.
I guess during normal times people don’t “live” there but just sleep and spend a little span of their day
Me too! In her last video I got a bunch of hate for commenting on that tho... Like, how are 3-4 people supposed to live there with all their clothes and belongings that they need for school. Especially since college lasts for a couple of years.
In our reputed Indian college 5 students live in a single room , and even without a combined bathroom... I were to go this year but yeah covid happened.. So we r just online
@@ylvasorli i agree but students at her college dont stay in rooms like this for all four years of college. This would only be for their freshmen year and then they move to different accommodations for their 2nd, like we move every year
Yall luxurious. This is a higher standard than my dorms and well.. it really is liveable. I didn't complain at all tbh. You study in the library, eat out, only come there to snack and sleep basically... It was kinda harder right before covid when everything closed down but we still had some in class lessons, but at the same time we were suddenly having online lessons at the same time in one room & studying there & cooking in a tiny kitchenette lol that was a nightmare, especially the online lessons in sync
her room is more organized then my life

I’ve seen a lot of people say “how do they fit three people?? Why doesn’t Ucla have like two people only??” I did some research on their website and UCLA has different options (out of quarantine) for dorming. You can choose to be by yourself or with one or two other roommates and you can choose if you want to have a private bath or a public bath which everyone in the hall share. It all depends on the cost! Hope that helped! ;)
well not really. ucla does have singles and doubles, but almost all freshmen (and sophomores too i believe) get triples. when you’re a junior or senior and if you want to live on campus then you get a choice, but you don’t really have a choice until then.
source: am a ucla freshman
going along with what Malin Sapkota said, barely anyone other than athletes and people with need for special accommodations are given singles! (unless it's during summer session or if you get extremely lucky!) but yeah totally correct on the cost! classic triples = the cheapest but most uncomfy, singles = the most expensive but you have your own space (though it does get lonely :c )!
source: ucla transfer who dormed in a deluxe triple and then a single plaza over the summer !
@@cozypianist1354 People need to stop with the “athletes get special accommodations” crap. It’s literally against NCAA rules and regulations and the athletes could lose eligibility of it if it was discovered they had special treatment in terms of housing. No big university is messing around with that.
@@julianacarragher7323 athletes, regents scholars, student housing workers, and students with disabilities are given priority to choose their housing at UCLA (meaning they have an earlier time slot to choose their preferred dorm compared to the rest of the student body)... The student athletes at UCLA are also getting a study space built for them (the Mo Ostin Academic Center for Student-Athletes which is ONLY for student athletes), and already have a gym that no one else can access, so not necessarily "special accommodations", but more like... "perks" of being a student athlete.
I would definitely get my own bathroom
Omg your hair looks so pretty!!
"Not wearing shoes inside the house" the asian genes 😔✋
I live in Canada, and if someone keeps their shoes on in your house culturally they're an asshole who will be told to take them off. That's nasty.

@@the-wb5wo "outside clothes" on the bed makes me want to vomit. Like I go to a store in an outfit it's dead to me. No longer is it bed friendly until it's been washed.

Hi about the earring infection: Do you wear costume jewellery? If so, try real jewellery (gold or silver) for a while. You might be allergic to the metal in costume jewellery, that can look like an infection. If you don't have real jewellery, try and invest in one (pair) or ask family.
I can't wear costume jewellery earrings but necklaces and braclets, so maybe it's the same for you :)
About your room. Nicely done. Just a question, since it's already pretty full, how could 2 more girls fit in there? Looks more like you need all the space for yourself XD
by the way, if you have costume jewellery silver- or gold-plated it can still cause issues due to microscopic 'holes' in the plating. Go for full silver/gold/platin/...
Same for me, the first time I got my ears pierced it got so bad I had to let the piercings heal over completely. I got them re-pearced a couple of years later. Because I was wiser about my choice of jewelry + upkeep, those ones have lasted for ten years with no problems.
@@Winnangh This kinda happened to me but my ear started bleeding
@@Winnangh my parents got my ears pierced when I was 3(ish) and my mom only bought real jewellery. I noticed, I can't wear costume jewellery when I wanted to wear cheap creoles I got from a magazine, and other ones from store. Figured the silver-plated thing out, when my silver-plated earrings began to infect my ears. I only buy and wear real jewellery now and hadn't had any problems since.
I completely agree , my friend had the same issue
Wait, so ur telling me that u don’t actually eat ur pads???

Hey Jasmine! For your ear piercing, the reason it keeps getting infected is because the hole is too close to either a nerve or a blood vessel. You should let them both heal over and then get them re-pierced at a different spot from a professional. It happened to me as well when I first got my nose pierced but letting it heal and then piercing at a different spot worked for me. Didn’t get infected ever again! Also for the healing, take some warm water with a pinch of salt and hold a cotton swab soaked in the solution to the infected place for a while and repeat twice a day. Hope it gets alright soon! You’re amazing, keep shining :)
ok but your hair is POPPING OFF 🤩🤩
i dropped everything to watch this LMAO
Hope those things are fine and not broken lmao
i can’t imagine you living with 2 other people!! this seems so nice just to be alone she really has 3 separate desks for different tasks and 2 diff beds for different things🥺🥺
Wow I'm first Jasmine I have to say I simply adore your videos. I was waiting for this video, and it's so aesthetic and cute!!!!!!! Not knowing how to be an adult? Cute.
I love how ALL dorms have the SAME drawer/cabinet style.
I always assumed people had a room to themselves in their dorm at college
I’d prefer to have it to myself haha I’d love having a dorm all to myself
Yeah. I think it's common for people in other countries to live alone, but America loves scamming students so a lot of people live in doubles, triples, sometimes even quads.
@@anikkab ahh I see I had no idea , I thought since American colleges are more expensive they are more fancy 😅
Hahah no, that’s waaaaay too expensive
It’s so expensive to live on campus already
@@miyiuz in uni in the uk you get your own room and sometimes bathroom. A lot of the time at some unis it’s basically a mini flat/apartment to urself
This dorm room is better than my whole house
wait, the comments are from seconds ago? Since when am I on time?
Honestly I can't tell if you are lucky to be in a dorm without roommates, because you have more room for your stuff or unfortunate because having a roommate definitely helped with the stark loneliness I felt my first year of college.
Anyone saying “i can’t believe 4 people normally live there!” Or “wow how do 4 people share a space with no kitchen” clearly do not go to university in the United States because that is actually a very nice quad... my university’s dorm had no air con sooooo
Woah, life goals! I would love to live in a dorm for a couple of months! Of course their are lots of downsides to living in a dorm but living in a dorm you get that college feel which I definitely want to experience one day! 😊
Yes! I was just looking for a calming Studyquill video!
:c it's gonna be so hard when covid ends and your other roommates get to use your so organized space
wowie im kinda first view in a minute: all I going to say wash your hands and wear a mask.:)
hi omg jasmine! love that intro part lol - can totally relate to not wearing your shoes in the beginning.
I can’t believe they expect 3 people to live in that dorm in the first place! That is crazy like correct me if I am wrong but in England I believe that it’s considered like crazy to make you share the room like u always have ur own!
that's american colleges for you! they are already unbelievably expensive and you dont even get a liveable dorm!
I used to share a room with 4 other people when classes were still in person 😔
@@user-zf4xc4bd4q Ya makes me not wanna go to live in dorms lol
@@gabrielledriz6624 that is insane!
As a norwegian, this seems kinda crazy to me too...We all have our own rooms and we can choose if we want to share kitchen/bathroom with others or not... (ofc its more pricey to have your own, but yeah.)
The top bunk is scary- there’s no protection sides- imagine falling 💀
Hi Jass, am a medical student, for your ear piercing and here is my suggestion:
First we all have a microbiome in our skin so, is quite easy to your piercing that it is actually an injury to get infected so I will tell you to apply alcohol on and to desinfect your earring too.
Did you dye your hair, it looks very good by the way
I swear, the second I start watching one of my videos, I feel the intense urge to start cleaning my room. It's been a great help :)
Reading people’s comments about how it’s “crazy” that 3 people sharing the room. I went to UCLA 2012-2016 and dormed my first 2 years with 2 other people. Personally, the size didn’t bother me and it only made me get that much closer to my roomies! Plus, it’s not like we spent 24/7 in our dorm room; the campus is HUGE and we can go out to eat/study in various other places :) 10/10 recommend dorming if you want to meet and experience new people!
I wanna enter the giveaway but i know other people may be in need more than me. I really like the vibe in your dorm :)
@@kollo5678 you too! :)
It's great how you've sectioned your room into different sections/zones (??) And that whenever you sit at a desk you come into an entirely different mood
Lysm as always 💓 and good job for doing such a good job in adulting alone in this pandemic 👍🏻❤️
I'm trying to imagine how 3 people's stuff would fit, like...
i knew we would see you settled and doing better as the semester progressed, so happy to see that!
I love the subtle chaotic vibe in this video
You may have an allergy to fake jewellery cause I have allergy to fakes and the same thing is happening to me sooooooo yeaum buy real one instead (it's expensive but what can you do) (^o^)
Ironically I had an allergic reaction to yellow gold earrings. I can wear the fake ones and silver just fine.
I’m earlyyuu lol🤩😻😌😌 but if anyone is seeing this i want to let you know that you’re amazing and deserve the best and I also want to ask is you’re day good?
I’m trying to apply to UCLA but my counselor didn’t tell me the deadline was nov 30 and now I’m trying to do a whole application in ten days 😭
My advice is too late for you but don't rely on college counselors. The one at my high school was basically useless so I did everything myself. I only ever went to him to sign up for a practice SAT.
Hny, u can do it!!!👏🔥
@@XSemperIdem5 do you think it’d be better for me if I went to a different school with the same major and then transfer out sophomore year?
To make you not feel so nasty about having food in the bathroom and just a tip in general is to always lower the toilet thing (no ideia how to say it in english) before you push the water. That was your bathroom doesnt get micro bacteria and all that nasty stuff from there
i’m not exactly sure that there is a word for that in english
I'm loving this new aesthetic 💖
I absolutely love your hair!!! So cute!
American university is always such a cultural shock to me. It’s crazy to think that 3-4 people would be in the same room! In the U.K. in student halls there can be up to 10 people in a flat but everyone will have their own room. The only time I’ve really seen accommodation where people share a room is maybe in a studio share. Some private accommodations offer a flat for 2 people like a couple.
If your pierced earlobes aren’t healed after a year (which they should be) and constantly getting infected, you need to make sure your studs are hypoallergenic and start cleaning them differently. Use a home made saline solution of distilled water and non-iodized (kosher) salt. Mix 1/4 teaspoon of salt to 8 ounces of water in a little bowl or mug and microwave it so that it’s warm (but not hot), and dip your ear in that twice a day for 3-5 minutes. You can scale up the amount of solution you make, 1/2 teaspoon to 16 oz of water or even 4 teaspoons to a gallon, but the ratio has to be correct, and you have to use distilled water.
I was hearing you telling us about your ears... Oh Gosh. Mine never stopped getting problems since they were originally pierced when I was little. I tried it all. Silver, gold... The holes just kept getting nasty every once in a while. Now I've been earings free for about... Two years perhaps? Best decision ever. Never got another issue. I miss a little wearing earings but there are still necklaces and bracelets and such.
Hey Jasmine! This comment is super late because I dropped off the face of the Earth for a while, but if you are still having trouble with ear infections with your piercings I have some advice because the same thing used to happen to me, and still does with certain pieces of jewelry.
Tip #1 Be sure that you are not allergic (even acutely) to the metal the piercing is made of. I saw this comment a lot but knowing the metal content is important with "real" jewelry and not just costume jewelry. I am allergic to a lot of precious metals and can only wear surgical steel jewelry so finding this out and making the switch greatly decreased the severity of the infections I was getting.
Tip #2 (this is the one I think will pertain to you much more) Be aware of the style of jewelry you are using. I am going to take a wild guess and assume that you are most likely wearing stud type earrings. These are super simple and pretty and are the ones you get when you first get the piercing done. However, I have found that stud piercings can fit too snuggly to the ear and not allow for much air flow. This is what was causing my constant small infections and just switching to small hoops or a stud that I could keep a little loose without fearing of them falling off and getting lost fixed the problem entirely. Air flow is important, your ears need to breathe too!
YOU FORGOT TO OPEN THE CABINET NEXT TO YOUR DESK (the crafts one)
I'm not sure if you're comfortable doing this but I know you make a lot of great financial advice vids for students so I was wondering you would do a video on how much you make through UA-cam/different revenue streams?

earlyyyyyyyyyyy
when i got my ears pierced at first, they would get infected. i realized it’s my earrings that were causing it. you should try wearing only real gold or silver earrings for the first year or so and then you can wear whatever earrings you want. they won’t infect your ears anymore. hope this helps
Girl!!! You need to get on the menstrual cup train, it has literally changed my life!! Highly recommend
Hi, I enjoy your aesthetics, however please find a different solution for your fridge and microwave. They say that there are particles of poo (sorry for being disgusting) flying around when you use it and you don't want your food to be around it. :(
Sorry if this is coming off as disgusting or illogical
totally irrelevant comment winner: Love the fairy lights on the bed haha!
Love your room and organization! Your room is huge☺️ A basic tip for your ear piercings not healing fast is not sleeping on them or touching them. Also make sure your earrings are gold, silver, titanium or surgical metal (it might help)! Also try to put on rubbing alcohol everyday to clean the piercings. Hope it is helpful :)
HI STUDYQUILL OMG I LOVE UR VIDEOS SMMM
yesss i’m so excited!!!
2:34 are those chilaquiles?
13:03 OMG OMG I made that miniature greenhouse too!!!
I finished it and it looks SO GOOD
6:39 hi Jasmine
My ear also used have problems like that after ear piercing
So my advice is to check the material which is present in your piercing.....
I used to have reaction with the silver earings but then I realised that wearing gold didn't cause any reaction....
So it depends on skin to skin. And if any reaction happens u can put Vaseline to sooth it . if u want wear the silver ones which react put some Vaseline at the parts of the earnings which touch your ear.
Hope this advice helps........
PS: I lovee your videos 💞
I hope u find this comment useful

This is the first time I'm watching a video of yours and YOU ARE GORGEOUS not to mention extremely smart and productive? Tell me your wayssss!!!
I am so obsessed with your hair it is amaaaaaazing
For your ear allergy:- Try to use pure gold earrings and apply coconut oil.
Polysporin is a good way to prevent infections. Just put a little on the post of your earring every so often (put it in your ear if that’s not a given) and it should help. Also make sure you rotate your earrings regularly.
Ohhh this makes me miss being in a dorm room omg
The ear pierce infection could actually be caused by the metal earrings you use. I had an infection for mine when I was young over it
Omg I love it!!💕💜

for the ear! you can check if the earrings you wear contain nickel - lots of people have nickel allergy (including myself) and this metal is often added to jewellery, even if the main material is for example gold. maybe this could help!
move into a smaller room
hello! :) You are amazing Jasmine!
hey! I have something to help ur ear infection! my original comment got deleted but here I go. I am assuming there is an infection in the cartilage next to the earring because this remedy only works for that-
take out ur earrings and warm up a bowl of warm water for around 45 secs, then put salt in the water and let it dissolve by stirring it. then, take a paper towel, soak it in the saltwater and wrap it around where the infection is for a few moments, and then dipping it back into the water to resoak, and put it around ur ear again, try to do this for a few minutes daily and it should be cured in a few weeks!
my mom used to tell me to do this when I used to have constant ear infections (with my earrings) when I was 9/10 yrs old, and it got cured permanently! I hope this could help :)
My ears get easily infected too, what I do is that before I put on any earrings I splash them with perfume, that cleans them haha, hope it helps. ♥️
I would try rubbing alchol.. the fragrance might not end well for some people lol
I used H2Ocean for my ear piercings and it finally healed them after 7 years of bleeding
in regards to the piercing infection, you’re probably having reaction to nickel which is a decently common issue. give it a week without jewellery to clear up and make sure any jewellery you buy is nickel free. i'd recommend investing in a gold or silver pair of small hoops/sleeper to wear day to day (and in bed lol).
It is nice when you get the dorm room all for yourself lol
