In terms of pure quality and class from both sets of players on the day, this is the greatest ever game in PL history. All 3 goals were just sheer quality without much criticism of the defences for any of them. The general play from every player on the pitch (not shown in highlights) was just outstanding. Other PL classic games had more drama, but the drama was created by poor defensive play. This was a genuine all-round quality performance from the two greatest teams in PL history.

@@yourdailyjoe3155 Devastating on the counter attack...which we didn't do. City under pep has always slowed the game down. Counter attacks are rare as they specifically are told not to do them.

The legacy of Klopp would have been immense... And look at the two moments of the game - the goal-line clearance of Stones and Sane's goal: All two of them are tantalizingly marginal for Liverpool fans...
