I like how this album isn't afraid to be really, really quiet. volume is a tool too!
It's neat
But quite inconvenient for those of us with tinnitus
Does make it less accessible though. It's late at night and I cannot listen on loud volumes, but I don't hear anything in quiet passages either. So either I need to constantly adjust the volume to be hearable, but not wake up the other rooms, or listen to something else
@@kangalio2 if you have the ability to I highly recommend using a dynamic range compressor on your output (there's plenty of free software ones available for the system output) for this kind of occasion; it can also be a useful tool against wildly inconsistently volumed video-videos (such as where the music is way louder than the speech for some damn reason)
nah!... stay away from rusty metal kids.@@Cheesecannon25

Thank you. I'm a struggling trans youth.
I have to go to church tomorrow and it's caused me to have a panic attack because there is no community for me in that church. After all, I'm Queer and Trans in the middle of the deep south.
I thought I should just try praying the Trans and gay away again then join the church so I have to be Cis Straight but seeing you out and proud with a successful career makes me hope for my future.

be you, but take care. there's plenty of time. play their game, you're in control
Thank you both.
Take care of yourself 🔥❤
@Big Man Thank you!!
bro you gotta get the fuck outta there
Twist and Patricia, two of my favorite artists together?? Heck. Yes.
Whenever I listen to this and really focus on it, I feel like I'm getting in the headspace of Toby while he builds his doohickey. Pure unrestrained focus.
word girl reference
@@whenyou6061the beaver in the art is named Toby, I think they were referring to that
As simple as it is, I really like the editing of this video. I really feel like it encapsulates the feeling of physical work. When you start, all of the little physical sensations can seem enormous - thus, the beaver is framed completely, a focus on the human (or animal, in this case) experience of doing physical labor (whether it is gratifying or tedious could go either way - the physicality of the self is my main point here). But as the video goes on, steadily you get more and more sucked into your work. "You" as a physical body begin to melt away from your perception, as the task before you becomes your whole world, and "you" merely become a vector to completing the task ahead of you. A set of hands, an almost invisible force constructing the life that the projecting is taking on, the machine the beaver is working on takes up more and more of the frame. Then, when your work is complete, you can just sit back and look at it. That's it, you did it, and there it is. I think what you've just accomplished takes up your whole world as well, but in a different sense. It's a feeling of stepping back, and, for better or for worse, taking it all in. Whether hollow, relieving, or gratifying, the weight taken off your shoulders makes you feel almost dreamlike sometimes. Floaty. It leaves you in that quiet contemplation now that your hands aren't busy. You reflect.
I think the music reflects that too, and I think that's super neat.
(Oh, and I forgot to mention, but I also also like how slow upward pan is to begin with. It's the sensation of watching a kettle boil. If you aren't paying attention, you've suddenly skipped ahead in the video's progression, but if you are, you can't even tell it's moving, which is another clever metaphor, I think.)
As a person who wants to study stars, this is exactly how I want to describe its beauty to others
This whole album but especially "Focus, Beaver!" sounds like that one scene in spongebob where squidward is trapped in an infinite white expanse
I have finally been able to summarize my thoughts, this is lovely, these are my new favorite tunes that I listen to while I work. They are very quiet and energizing. :3
When I visualize this album in my funny neurodivergent animator brain kinda sounds like music from the northern lights, music from an intense drawing session, or music from an echoing cave. Thank you for giving me these experiences! :D
I like this comment :D but when I try visualizing this album all I see is a very sunny winter day, with lots of clear and white snow and slowly melting icicles, the water droplets slowly slide off them and then freeze again on the ground, where the sun doesn't reach anymore.
Let’s go twist art we love to see it ❤️
This album really messed with my sense of time listening to it. I think this is the first drone piece I've ever heard? Really engrossing stuff, thank you!
listen to Floating Frequencies / Intuitive Synthesis by ELEH next its the proper next level for music that makes u forget time exists
@@Patricia_Taxxon On it!
I have been listening for two minutes, you have perfectly portrayed what tinnitus feels like.
listen for longer, coward
Thank you patty for making me second guess my ears at the start of this one lol
Oh wow this is well tuned for the successful braining of a long term task. Given that I use low volume music to fill a small void in my brain that otherwise makes focusing on tasks unnecessarily hard this feels like an oddly specific gift towards that end.
Art by twist and it's a great ambient drone album? You're knocking it out of the park
I keep coming back to this album again and again. It makes me feel like I'm floating in between everything
This album reminds me of the first time I heard psy goa trance. It's like a movement of sound without shape or form, just tumbling over your ears in a constant rolling smooth roundness and deepness.
I have tinitus so the opening threw me for a loop lol
been really appreciating this as my work music, its so soft and delicate. The hum of my computer, the quiet, intospective drone and texture, it brings into focus the meditative nature working with technology and computers can have.
Honestly, it gives me such pleasant little chills as new touches and tickles stand out. Thank you.
Very chill. Also that lil beaver in the album art is so cute! I hope whatever task he’s doing is going well.
I see new Taxxon music
I leave a like
The cycle is now complete
?
what a quaint little contraption that beaver is working on so diligently.
Absolutely lush! Was this inspired by that Sachiko M album Good Morning Good Night? Either way, really wonderful to hear your take on lowercase and drone!! The pacing is super satisfying!
It's inspired by a lot of experimental music that I listened to as a teenager, but yes my taste for very high frequencies was from sachiko m.
I love how track 3 incorporates really bright brassy saw waves that decorate the environment
I like this meditative ambient style. Great use of soft dynamics, wide pitch range, and "breathing rhythm." This is a very calming album.
Times are tough, my ears are bleeding, thank you ms taxonomy
Rlly peaceful sounding love it
hello found you through one of ChipFlake’s live-stream few months ago, so far i’ve been enjoying watching ur content & listening to ur musics, keep up the great work! 👍
Hey I'm actually about to start writing again, I've been putting it off for months and dreading every second but I have to keep going at it. Think this soundscape will help! Thanks.
Writing is like a pool, it's hard to get in, cold at first, but once in the water you find that you can float. Naturally your mind will suggest swimming and your body will follow. Eventually you will get so accustomed to the feeling you will wonder how you ever lived on land, where everything is so heavy and restrictive. Then the next day you repeat the process, it never gets eaiser, but the freedom, the floating, will always keep you above water.
@@DungeonClimber
that was awesome. thank you.
This is really cool, it's not really something that I would normally listen to but for some reason this is really doing it for me. I think I've seen others comment this on other albums/tracks of yours but so far this is really tickling my brain in a way that is surprisingly similar to ASMR. The way the sounds move from ear to ear, the way they gently fade in and out; approaching and retreating. The way it changes texture and pitch, it is all very reminiscent of ASMR to me and it totally hits that button in a new and interesting way. Very surprised I like this!
Omg industrial music, but its soft? Love it.
For me this is like listening to a mix of throbbing gristle, the care taker and asmr/ planet sound videos, at the same time. to create a haunting and some times harrowing experience but a feeling of complete peace. In other words this should not egsist but dose because art.
at first i really thought my tinnitus was acting up
i use task constantly thank you so very much. nothing works quite like this album to make me actually do things
babe wake up, new Patricia Taxxon album dropped
I KNEW I recognized Twist's art!
i dont even, like, what is this? i dont understand it, but its something that i feel is so intrinsic to me. why does it make me want to cry?
don’t ask me I nearly cried at the 2 minute mark
I forgot I opened this tab and it played in the background for 1 minute before I noticed a weird sound, and 3 minutes before I figured out what it was.
Absolutely stunning. Wow.
Art is experience with emotion.
It's been a couple of years since music has brought tears to my eyes. This did that.
I'm afraid I had to stop listening, since the emotion this evoked was too powerful.
At 9:19 I experienced a panic attack that I could stop at the press of a button. The ringing, the racing, the ticking clock. Every sound, every micro-agression, every shadow.
With a tap, no with *my* tap. Silence. Safety. Control over myself again.
And then tears.
Breath in for 7 seconds, then breath out for 7-8 seconds. Control your breathing for a few moments.. if it doesn't put you to sleep it should help you relax at least.. it works for me
certified dog music moment
This comment is general an insult out of context. Well done!
forgot this was in the background a bunch of times and thought I was ascending
listened to this one with my discord wife, we found this to be an ethereal experience
my beaver friend doesn't like this as much though
Wow. Not what I expected from Patty, but I am nevertheless impressed. I love how the track titles contrast with the complete ambience of this album. Not a single rhythm in here unless you count the clicking sometimes. This is the first album to have been released since I found you, too, so I made sure to give it my undivided attention for my first listen, and I am so glad I did. This was really serene to listen to in the dark.
:)
@@ekisacik oh shi-
les go new patty taxxon album
that final part was crazy it felt like the guitar was like auroras in these like fjords and stuff I was inside a cloud megastructure at the end my imagination went wild
around 18:45 i became unsure if what i was hearing was the song or just my ears ringing. 10/10
update i'm pretty sure it was my ears ringing
VERY CALMING MUSIC. the style of sound I always wanted
This ticuls my brain
PAT TAXX AT IT AGAIN
This album is incredibly relaxing, I'm glad it exists :)
LET’S FUCKING GOOOO
This gives me all the energy and headspace I need to get going on my silly little tasks (haha) - something about the latter half feels to me like finishing a good puzzle, harmonic and soothing but also very natural and unobstrusive in that flow state of mental exertion, so suddenly pouring my concentration into a difficult piece of work feels like I'm curled up with a sudoku or something.
I loooooooove this one already and the album art is super cool too! :D
I like minimalism and i rly like beavers so this is my fave of ur albums so far
Babe, wake up. New Patty
tbh it's late at night here and I'm working peacefully, so this is just perfect. Thanks Miss Taxxon, sounds lovely
NEW ALBUM FROM FAVORITE SOUND MAKER LETS GOOOO
Holy mole, my time shall be readily devoted to this piece of art now.
diving into the threshold of audibility. monumental sine waves
Very appreciative to have this ambient work.
Thank you Patty, this is a great album, and I have no doubt in my mind that this wont be the last time im here
Great work!
I needed this right now. thank you x
LESGOOOO NEW PATTY TAXXON ALBUM!!! :DDDDDD luv it!!!
DUDE NO WAY PATRICIA TAXXON MY FAVOURITE AUDIO
Why does this album make me miss summer
i really just wanna be floating in a white void, with this album in repeat...
idk why lol
This is uh definitely something I don't know what but it's something
Absolutely blissful
Man! Going from Visiting Narcissa to this is like night and day. Not in the quality sense of course, just saying there is some real versatility being shown if you know what I mean.
I really liked this one. It managed to replicate mechanical, electrical, and background sounds pretty well and use it for ambience and details. I really liked the wind you could hear in "Good Job, Beaver!". It does feel like music playing when you work on a task. That album art is pretty nice. I like that beaver. I take issue with "Focus, Beaver!". It feels very out of place with the album cover and the rest of the music. It sounds great, but it's way too grand and spacey. It could have been on something else.
Hm just realized this sounds like a puzzle game ost
Lmao yeah, I can totally see this being in Cosmic Express, or anything by Draknek
15 minutes went by and i thought the first minute didn't even go by
I do not know what this is but I started listening and I don't want it to stop even though it's 8am on a sunday and I could go back to bed
Listening to the last track snuggled up back in bed and reading the track name for it filled me with so much joy
I love reading the comments on this channel videos
So…I wonder if Christtt and Patty will ever collab-this album’s got a very “new wounds” vibe to it
this was helpful. thank you
Sucks I don't have a long quiet moment to listen to it fully right now :(( probably won't have a lot of quiet free hours in the near future either...
Very cool thank you
Started playing TF2 in the background, while listening. Probably an interesting way to experience it if you can't afford a sensory deprivation chamber or other chill setting to just hear everything.
The cure to my adhd ❤❤❤❤
This is a great album to stimulate your prostate to
very nice
wish both the speakers on my headphones worked this is already good but i think it'd benefit from the surrounding
i'm gonna go ahead and say "rain world" and then take my leave
