The Sodi World Finals are coming to Karting Genk next month. To prepare for this huge event, Sodi brings it's own fleet of special prepared karts. These karts, also known as the Sodi Sport karts, are lightweight compared to the rentals we are used to drive. They are developped to perform close to a racing kart. These sessions were the first laps of these karts around the track as personal of Sodi look to improve the karts as we go on. We got an excellent opportunity to test these karts out during a training session.

Fun group dynamic! I was there for the final sessions of the day. Very very strange fleet of karts, difficult to gauge the steering input to grip levels and the poor engines seem a little too draft and weight depending. Me and my 85kg were losing so much on the first half of the straights haha. Will be fascinating to see these being used in the World Finals.

Thanks man, yes it was only the first time these karts were at the track so the personnel of Sodi will probably fix these issues. Overall I think the karts are pretty fun to drive.

are these only there for finals or will they stay at genk after that too?

It is only for the finals. Karting Genk has a new fleet of RT's since late April.
