Your cane tutorials are wonderful! I have been so busy watching them that I forgot to make the cane I originally planned to make. Your explanation (and voice cadence) of the methods used is clear, descriptive and easy to follow.
Your came is really pretty and I love just using slices of a whole slice. It really looks kind of elegant and different. I love making games and will try this one. Fiona Abel-Smith is the absolute queen of.csne-making. She has the easiest and best ways of reducing canes that I have come across. Thanks for another great tutorial.😊😊
Thank you! If you don’t want to take the thin slices, just use the whole slice and burnish it on in the same way. This was just as lightly different way to use a cane slice. I have a couple of other cane tutorials, if you haven’t seen them, watch them. 💕❤️
I enjoyed the tutorial and the results looked so pretty. The cane itself (before cutting) reminds me of a kaleidoscope. I haven't attempted making a cane before but definitely something I want to work on. I have eczema on my hands and I found that applying coconut oil while my hands are damp helps. I get the coconut oil at the grocery store where the other cooking oils are found. It's a bit greasy so I wrap my hands with a cotton cloth before going to sleep. Well, anyway, just a thought. Thanks for the tutorial.
Very gorgeous!!! I love your techniques!! I hope you post a tutorial on the pendants you posted yesterday (on IG) I think it was. They were so beautiful. The one where I said the middle picture was my favorite and you said you were keeping it! Hahaha I don't blame you a bit!!!
That cane looks gorgeous and I'm going to try it using some other colors. 🙂💕💕When I do my burnishing I only use plain printed paper. I find card stock too thick and it sticks. Can't wait to try this!!
This cane is beautiful! I've just recently started following you, and I was wondering how long have you worked with polymer clay? I'm really new to it.
They’re not ‘such big canes’ for one. That is actually considered quite small. For two, if you go too small, then there isn’t much room to reduce without turning the pattern into mud. Of course they’re used for other projects…
Beautiful!! I think the alcohol you use a lot to clean up with has caused your poor thumb to dry out and Crack. Have you got any finger cots you can put on your thumb? You'll need to protect it and moisturize the heck out of it. 😊
That’s exactly what’s done it. I have been wearing thumb cots, I just didn’t want to wear one in the vid. It’s almost better, now. Just a little dry. Before it was cracking open, so I was wearing cots. I can’t work with them on, so now it’s healing, I decided not to wear one. 💕
I'm so glad it's healing for you. I noticed you didn't use alcohol today so I'm thinking you'd only need a finger cot when you grab the alcohol 😉. Love your videos and the Mr. and you are hilarious 😂 good fun 👍
I've learned SO much from you, but I can't get translucent to roll. Every time I begin conditioning the clay it crumbles, no matter what I do or how long I hold it in my hands to warm the clay.
Unfortunately, it happens, particularly when the clay isn’t fresh. Try adding a few drops of baby oil, or buy some clay conditioner from a craft store.
Love seeing canes evolve. Do like the idea of shaving and placing. Hope you are doing well. Take care🤗🇬🇧
I know this is an old one, but I just love this cane and what you’ve done with it!
Your cane speak made perfect sense. Great tutorial! Thanks!
Thanks!
Both canes are beautiful… and all 3 pendants. ♥️
They are both very pretty. They make lovely jewelry as well. Great job.😊

Really cool, canes are fab. Love the purple pendant 💖

I like this one alot.
They all 3 looked great and were obviously very time-consuming in reducing the canes. Great designs for the pendants.
Thanks!

No, won’t be doing a tutorial for those because I literally used scrap, and probably couldn’t replicate it!
Thank you for the tut it is awsome

Yes, I usually use paper, but I’ve ran out. Yes, the card does cause sticking…well, the sort I used, did.
Love this 😻
Love it
Your so clever.x

Thank you!
I’ve been doing clay for about 7 years.
Beautiful!! Thank you!
Por cuánto dinero vendes cada pieza? Soy Ana Perianes de Asturias España, me encanta todo lo que haces un saludo
Depends on the piece. From anywhere between $15 and $30. More for bangles.
@@clayboutique ok thanks you
Can you tell me why you make such big canes? Is it easier to manage them or do you do it to keep the cane for other projects?

Thank you for your reply we learn all the time.
❤love tutorials do you sell the things you make on Etsy?
No, I don’t have a shop. All my pieces are on Instagram, and you can DM me for details.

Do you sell your pieces hun if so where, love the cane hun xx
Yes, I do. I left a link in the description.
Love the canes! I stink at making canes no matter how many times I watch a tutorial. 😞
