The morning air was crisp and cool as we pulled out of the rest area at the break of dawn. The car hummed along the quiet roads, the sky painted in soft hues of orange and pink, signaling the start of a new day. By just past 6 a.m., we rolled into Airlie Beach, the sleepy coastal town slowly coming to life.
We found a quaint little cottage by the waterfront, the perfect spot to settle down for breakfast. The aroma of fresh coffee mingled with the salty breeze as we unpacked our spread. The kids, buzzing with excitement, barely finished their bites before they were begging to explore.
Next, we headed to the famous Airlie Beach Lagoon, a sparkling oasis surrounded by lush greenery. The kids splashed and giggled in the cool, turquoise water while we soaked up the sun from the shore. Later, the children discovered the nearby playground, a wonderland of swings, slides, and climbing frames. Their laughter filled the air as they darted from one attraction to the next.
