  • Hello lovelies, welcome to Poetry Thursday no 4. Today I have chosen an American poet who called England her home, and who is buried in Heptonstall in Hebden Bridge. I am of course talking about Sylvia Plath.

Thanks for the shout out, I'm glad to know my comment might have brightened your day a bit. Your calm reading of this Plath poem has certainly brightened my day, I like the matter-of-fact way you read, it's soothing and holds my interest. I also love all the jewellery you're wearing and the background of art inspirations including the Moonins.
I'm planning to read much more poetry in 2025 and am starting off with Jean Valentine and wonder if you're familiar with her work at all. That being said, your video here has reminded me that I have been meaning to read more Plath as well. Eleanor x

I'm glad you enjoyed the video...I usually feel unsure when I read, but happy I sounded OK!! I haven't heard of her, but I will definitely check her out!! I've just ordered 2 books you mentioned in a couple of your other videos. which I am excited about.. after looking them up I instantly knew I should get them....they are James Schuler and Nachoem M Winjberg, I will let you know what I think!! Plath is always good to binge, I need to read more of her work definitely!! Have a lovely weekend!! Samantha x
