BMW's system doesn't play different sounding it enhances the existing sound which the engine already makes, with no tweaks to the sound; a 10% bass tone is added (this is because the interior is so well insulated that the engine is almost muted).
Can people please stop winging about cars they haven't seen in person? I attended the launch event for this car and it is an amazing piece of engineering and design. It takes the lead when compared to its rivals in price to features value and sets the standard for all the SUVs to come. See the car in person, sit in the drivers seat and drive it, then say the car is not as great as another. But I guess haters gonna hate LOL.
Having driven this at launch training amongst competitors including the range rover sport it is by far the best in terms of driveability. He said the range has a better ride but fails to mention its absolutely massive, feels huge on the road and handles like a sofa.

I would anyway buy this car over the Stupid range rovers. I had a Jaguar xf and ranger over sport till last year. I faced so many quality issues in the range rover that I had to sell it by the end. I still have the jaguar xf, and has no problems, atlesst much better than range rover. Done 60,000 miles on the jag... On the other hand my brother owns a BMW x5 2013, and he has done 50,000 miles. We totally love it. Its one of the best suvs we have owned. I'm planning to get a Porsche cayenne or a Mercedes instead of the range rover(shit car) can anyone suggest which one should I? My neighbour bought one in pearl white recently and that was my first time to see a F15 X5 in real life, but God, that looks like an absolutely ugly mountain of bird shit! Seriously I miss the previous X5 which was a proper gorgeous BMW. And I have a very bad feeling about how the forth coming X3 will look...BMWs keep getting uglier and uglier these days.

Instead of comparing the X5 to the Range Rover, I'd want it compared with the 2013-2014 models of other german cars like the M-class, Q7, and the Cayenne.
Playing sound effects of a sporty petrol engine through the speakers inside the car when your driving a Diseasel. That's the most pathetic thing I've heard in a while LOL.
Because run-flats don't feel nearly as good as normal tires and if you do decide to go even slightly off road, the run-flats will not perform half as well as normal tires.
I find nothing wrong with the diesel sound, I think it's down to each individuals mind set. I think it's about time people changed their mentality about diesels and hybrids. Especially when both technologies combined make the most sense for modern cars.

I have this car. From 150.000km two turbos started to eat oil. After replacing the turbo chargers it eats more oil. Aprox 1.5 liter / 1000km
When BMW let out the E70 in 2007, people hated it. After a few months everyone was all over it. Just give this one some time.
