  • Let's colour a page together in Johanna's new book. I am using Prismas today and will colour the four castles page. I change the hanging basket (during the video) and the rainbow after I had finished filming as really didn't like how it looked. I hope you enjoy spending some colouring time with me 🤗💖

    The statement you made about taking time for the smallest bit of encouraging news to help lift you out of the depression rang very true with me. My daughter died suddenly in April, 2022. Now my husband and I are raising her little boy. We are 70, he is now 7. It’s not easy. We are all beginning to see brighter days now but it is still taking time. We’ve been in and out of court to ensure that our grandson can remain with us. Long months of things to be burdened with. You are one of the bright lights in my world!!! I love relaxing and coloring with you. Sending love and hugs, my friend!

      Hard things, yes, more than a few; but God is faithful to provide what we’ve needed in the way of emotional support. I really love this Community of colorists! So many talented artists who are so kind and loving - always helping us learn new techniques. I feel like I have friends all over the world. I am here for you too, my dear! My Mandy had terrible anxieties along with several autoimmune diseases. She was constantly in pain, and could sometimes be sick with worrying over things she couldn’t control. I know that she is completely healed now and suffers no more. Anxiety is a terrible illness made worse because it’s “invisible “. People don’t understand that you can’t just “get over it”, or “stop dwelling on it.” You are courageous and brave for sharing yourself with us! You are very-much appreciated and loved!!!

    Congrats on your new grandbaby! I love watching your channel. Very entertaining. You're also very talented and so helpful in the way you explain things and just go for it. Which is what I struggle with. The overthinking.
    You mentioned that you weren't sure about much info with the Gelly Roll pens. In case someone else hasn't said anything, yes you can buy them in packs. They come in all sorts of different packs. With so many different colors. Amazon, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, any arts and crafts store should have them. Utrecht, Dick Blick sells them individually as well as Michael's. Not sure if those stores are overseas where you are. But they have online stores with great selections. The way to tell your colors apart is there's a number above the barcode, next to the name of the set which also has a number on which set you can find them in. For example: Gelly Roll Moonlight 06 XPGBO6#425. Moonlight is the set 06 which pack of pens in that set and #425 is the specific color of the pen. I hope I explained that correctly and easy to understand. Take a look at your different pens and you'll see the difference in the numbers. Remember it's the number above the barcode. Not sure if the numbers below the barcode coincide with anything specific. But that should help you find all the different and wonderful gel pens. They're definitely some of my favorite gel pens. They also have a lot of white gel pen sets to color on black paper and so forth.
    Thanks for your uploads!

    I feel the same exact way about animal cruelty! It breaks my heart into a million pieces and I get equally sad and angry about it all at the same time! I am the type to speak up if necessary. I try to mind my own business but at the same time, my conscience won't let me ignore it if I can do something about it. I can't stand when people want to abuse those weaker than them and cannot stand up for themselves, that's being a bully! So I cannot tolerate the abuse of animals, children, or the elderly. I totally agree with you Lucy!

    Lovely little images. Congrats on Nanna 2! Is that the newly weds? They were quick out of the blocks. Also congratulations on keeping the job but more on your terms. That should be good for your confidence, knowing they didn't want to loose you.
    The lighting situation is complex. Painting the wall white and having the desk white could easily make it worse. Did you say that you had bought a ring light recently and that's what's blinding you? If so, it seems to be a very cold natural daylight colour but the camera is not able to cope with it. More cold white will make it worse.
    You should not be blinding yourself, especially as when you blind yourself the lighting we see is really dull because the camera is being blinded too. Some shadow is inevitable when using the hands. A bit of shadow is better for us with good colour match than no shadow but lots of colour change because of the light tone. I don't know what camera you use. But is there a setting in the photo/film app thingy that allows you to set the white balance. Because if you can set the white balance it will fix the dullness away and give us better colour matches. Are you using a smart phone to record on or something else? What brand? I will see if I can find out about the white balance for you.

      Aww Sue thank you so much! I'm using a basic Sony camcorder and a new led strip light that I can adjusted the brightness on and the tone from white to warm xxxx

    • @suewilkinson910
      @suewilkinson910 8 місяців тому +1

      @@lucyjustaddscolour-adultco3135 Here is something I found about adjusting the white balance on the Sony Camcorder. If you set the led light to midway between white and warm and then try this adjustment you might be able to restore the white of the page for the video. By setting the light to bright white the camera can't cope with the blue light and compensates but it does that by making things darker. So you are blinding yourself yet your video seems darker to us than before you had the new light.
      Another thing to try is to point the new light away from you and the page, so up at the ceiling or wall. Light will bounce back onto the book and be less harsh and you won't get blinded either. A combo of all of them should really help and make things more comfortable for you.
