Thank you so much for making this with such detail! It really helps to see you making these. Now I just need to ask for a drill and a saw for my birthday next month! 😂
The thing I'm trying out is using a wicking material (old bedsheet) instead of weed barrier, hoping it will both keep the roots out of the lower chamber and also keep the growing medium hydrated.
You use about 90% more water that way and if the bags sit directly in the tub, you'll get root rot and a mosquito breeding ground. This way you have steady moisture but plenty of air and use a lot less water.
Great video! May I ask where you got that black container with the rope handles or what I would type in to the web search bar? Thank you for making this tutorial. I have 8 of the cow lick tubs Leon showed but I drove 7 hours round trip to get them from him. I didn't know any ranchers in or around Tulsa so it was worth the drive. I was also able to get the Sustane and other stuff he uses.
I order them from Amazon, they are the same ones sold in Walmart but were cheaper in groups of 8 online. Not very thick though and will baby them to get my moneys worth. Saw you can get the tubs from farmers on facebook market place. Saw some in Stigler, OK from a farmer recently.
Great description of how it works, water, air needs etc! Great video. ~Heather

Hey Brian, just saw your invention on MIGardner. I like it. How can I see what you have for sale?
Do you usually add water from the pipe, how many days do you add water, good work❤
Saw you on Reap What you Seaux!👋New friend!
Hello! Always good to meet more people!
I wish you luck, if we don't add peat. How about we add only red soil? Does this system work
How many days is enough when the perfect method fills the water
You know the Langmores?
What size drill bit?
Why so many holes in the gallon jug?
So water flow from the fill pipe is unrestricted.
Don't forget to add some soil in with all that other fertilizer materials, haha
Those black cobrainers don't look UV compatible (HDPE) and will probably break to pieces within a year....also, not a foodsafe container!
🥰🌱
Walmart shopping bags are 10 times easier when placed in a kiddy pool.
