@@mikeymyke Too bad RAM can't design a truck closer to the Musk truck AND bring it to production. C'mon RAM you can do it!! Or just bring this one out, can't be too hard can it??
The Ram that I currently own is the last Ram that I will own. Nothing said about range or price - of course. There isn’t any EV battery that works well in cold climates. We don’t have and won’t have the power grid to sustain an all electric vehicle society. Undeniable truths. I’ll wave as I drive past you at the charging stations. To each their own.
I have owned a Ram truck for over 20 years. This new concept will be the best version ever. I will definitely be getting one as soon as they are available.
Holy Catfish! The Design Team knocked this out of the park! Took all the features that we liked about other EV trucks and then added a TON of new ones! 3 row / 6 person seating? Crazy! Passthrough into the Frunk? Wicked! No more red flags stapled to a 2 x 8 x 14 board, it will fit in the entire truck! The workstation arm rests are awesome, just hope the driver gets one (allow the steering wheel to be moved up or away and swing out the armrest workstation would be perfect!). Loving the extending bed and the tailgate extenders like we had on the old RamBox models. Suicide doors! Full glass roof from cowl to rear sail??? Hope that makes it to production. The center console with two screens, one even showed a keyboard idea (which is great!). Keep up this amazing work and lets hope alot of this makes it to production! Time for the team to celebrate!
Concept looks fantastic.... sure hope they can keep the final product close to it. So often the end result is such a let down. Come up, deliver us this Revolution!!!
Good thing you built the old ones right and built them to last ,because those of us that truly rely on our ram trucks will never trust the EV technology enough to join in on the “revolution”

Whait what?! No way... for that... I have to see the pricetag with my own eyes to believe it. There will be probably a thousand options but still. wow...
Don't forget about the price of maintenance of the lithium battery. Besides The lithium battery still consumes fossil fuels in its manufacturing process so is it really green 100%?

One of my suggestions early on was adding some type of connector that could become an industry standard. That way when trucks hook up to trailers, they could attached the connection, like with the trailer brakes/lights and trailers could have extra batteries built in. This would help decrease range anxiety, without needing to have massive battery capacity for the 20% of the time it's actually needed. Towable trailers could be custom built just for long trips/dropped off to charge at certain destinations/used as power source on camp sites/etc. This extender would need to be able to move power in both directions though, so one could pull up to a station and charge the truck and trailer at the same time, and pull from the trailer power as needed. (Maybe even have a switch to prioritize which power gets used first).
@@stephenpostier6456 Additionally, the trailer could have a small (for an EV) motor of its own, so it would do a small amount of the work for the car, which could also help reduce range anxiety
@@mrsoisauce9017 If there's an industry standard connector, it could be used for a lot of different types of ideas. Maybe a box mounted/hitch mounted diesel generator could be secured for certain use cases (Similar to how @edison motors is developing a Diesel Electric Truck body, but more as an add-on feature). These types of potential use cases could decrease the need for @Ram Trucks to spend as much on battery's/weight, lowering the cost for the truck to consumers, getting more people into their vehicle. (Especially if some of these add-on options could come from Ram/partnered with Mopar, or other dealerships.) If I were Ram Trucks, I wouldn't even charge any manufacturer a licensing fee to use the connector, in order for their tech to become the industry standard. (At least not for the receiving end. They could eventually license it to other truck manufacturers, assuming they're able to get a patent on it.)

It’s also just a concept, who knows when the truck will actually be produced
Completely agree and it was all cgi. Put that thing in a turntable and let the team talk about it and give us fact. Range, power, towing and payload capacity.
My 2018 Ram 1500 is so proud of what his Future looks like! Ram Design Team you have outdone yourselves! #ramdomination
Really, this is it. My 1500 Limited blows this away. They better step up the quality of the interior and get some real tires on this thing. Do they not remember making the TRX and how bad ass that is. What happened
Ram for looks but Cybertruck for everything else.
After 10 years of no dents fading paint and scratches, Cybertruck for everything.
I'm looking forward to seeing the future of RAM.
Let's go. #RamRevolution
WoW! Finally, a truck from the future.
I'm very curious to see what they come up up with and where it will be built.
I had heard Ram is ending the Ecodiesel to provide resources for their electric truck.
@@christophermccraw4476 I know the ecodiesel is being disconnected as well. I also heard rumors of the hurricane 6 cylinder twin turbo being I available. We shall see what the future holds.
