While Oli's performance in this video was absolutely KILLER, it must feel awkward going on stage to sing like 5 lines and then leave like nothing happened.
On a sidenote, the instrumentals here are just perfect.

@@jaspervandenameele4834 Don't get me wrong, i fk love BMTH and Oli. And yes i've also seen them live and they sound great.
But if you watch a lot of live videos of them on youtube, he got a lot of voice cracks and just bad days. I think 2006-ish, 2014 and 2018 were his best vocal eras (live).
But trust me, just look up a few live shows (especially the the ones that aren't mixed and official and stuff) and you will get what I mean.

Grow up and listen to whatever the fuck you want. Heavy Metal music has never been better than nowadays cus you have thousands of bands all playing different stuff, which you can access far more easily than in the eighties. If you're too stubborn to think that Metal is dead, 1) Open your mind because it's not, 2) Try to focus on bands you actually like than those you hate, 3) Go seek refuge in a bunker and stay there with a bunch of Iron Maiden, Saxon and Metallica CDs to actually understand how Metal music was "better" back then

I think it's more complicated than this. There are very few shouters that can constantly deliver the same quality on every concert for years. If you're in a young band that doesn't have many fans yet, you upload videos from gigs you're comfortable with, hence the performance is great.
When your band becomes more and more famous, you do bigger tours and have lest time for vocal rest. Plus everybody is suddenly interested in your gigs so there's plenty of live material online, partially amateur videos. So it's easier to find recordings of the worse gigs as well. I know this is an upload by the band itself, but it was a special occasion, having Oli as a live feature and they couldn't just try again.
I'm not saying that screaming for years doesn't harm your voice. I just think that professional bands like this know how to take care of their instruments and that it probably sounds more dramatical than it is. Oh, plus I personally don't think that Loz' performance here is bad. I never thought of him as the greatest screamer of all times, but I think he has his own style and is relatively solid.
