I'm thinking of a personal yacht of 150-200' with a beam of 50-75'. Aluminum hull and superstructure. Power would be 3000hp Lycoming T-55s and KaMeWa water jets for a cruise of 50 knots. This could also be a commercial tour boat with less power but still able to run 35 knots at WOT. I think the passengers would really love the stability and comfort of SWATH technology! The crossing from Miami to the Bahamas and the run down to Key West are almost always rough going and the SWATH boats would go a long way toward taming the beasts!

The US Navy developed the SSP in the 70s. Unfortunately it's a gas hog and heavy routine maintenance doesn't make it a optimal vessel. But all ships are compromises......
40 -60 pilot .. so they do that many ships in to port in a day or week..? a trip.? i was think one trip one pilot .. it a regular bus.. is one way trip
i miss these music video transitions from the 80's

Each pontoon should be like a submarine that can vary the buoyancy.

Very impressive vessels .
I like the boat at 7:29, and think that it could be made into an awesome commercial fishing vessel.
