I was a firefighter for 23 years ground pounders is some of the hardest work I've ever done and some of the most rewarding work I've ever done this movie got real close to the real deal great movie
All fire fighters are true hero's. My friend was a part time fire fighter, her work was dangerous, exhausting, under the harshest of circumstances as for her fellow fire fighters. They truly earn every Penney they get and then some. And I can't even imagine trying to breathe under some of the conditions they work. Amazing movie. It takes true courage and amazing toughness to do what they do. They give 100% and then some.
I can do many things but FIRE'S SCARE ME... even controlled fires scare me... then 1 year we had fire coming in THREE SIDES OF OUR LITTLE TOWN... my house was on the bad side... literally. WE had a town meeting about what we HAD TO DO... THE RATE THIS FIRE WAS SO BAD - THEY PULLED IN 1,000 FIREFIGHTERS TO OUR TOWN! I remember taking over a lot of bottles of water, 2 men died & 1 was severely engerd. GRACE TO ALL THE MEN BUT ESPECIALLY TO THE MEN WHO DIED. GOD BLESS EVERY FIREFIGHTERS IN USA... while the are getting fire's out & while they are training too!!
We just do our jobs. By the standards to which we are held out as heroes, anyone else who also does their job in good conscience and to the best of their ability is also a hero. We are just doing our jobs. I was a woman and a firefighter and I knew that my brothers would have given their lives for me and that is also why I retired when I realized I was weak, not to exercise, not to lifting heavy things, not due to anything else but the fact that I am quite susceptible to heat stroke and I knew my brothers would die trying to save me if I succumbed to that and so I retired. It's mostly awkward because the guys don't know what sorts of jokes they can make when there is a woman on the force so I would just laugh at any of the ones I heard (and I didn't have to fake that because they were quite funny) and then make a few of my own. It sucks that there is such a societal boundary enforced between men and women. It's stupid. We should all be able to laugh at things that are meant to be a joke. Personally, I gained their respect by being able to do 10 on-handed push-ups just like the most ripped guy in our department and I didn't do it for that purpose but for shits and giggles. It was only afterwards that I realized I had fully gained their respect. I suspect that I have more fundamentally gained it with my medical knowledge and ability because that is where I excel, even though I was also as ripped as your average firefighter there. Oh and, particularly in structure fires, we have self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBAs), which is basically SCUBA gear without the water, so we are breathing regular ass air. During the wild fires, we mostly avoid the heavy smoke because fighting those fires is like a pincer attack in war in that you flank the fire more and more until there is basically no more fuel for it to continuing burning, just like you would flank an enemy on both side and close in until they had nowhere go to escape. If we all tried to go toe to toe with the fire, most of us would have died a long time ago. Incidentally, in my fire academy, there were only two women (out for four who began the academy) who finished. We had this exercise where we suited up in our full structure firefighting gear and went into this maze box that was pitch black dark. We went in in teams of two firefighters and we had to navigate ourselves out of this puzzle box before our air ran out in our SCBAs. There were only two of us who pulled this off and I was one member of that team. We were the only women who graduated from our fire academy and we found our way through that puzzle box using roughly 1/3 of the air we had in our tanks and we did it twice. All of the guys ran out of air while still in the box. I will say that I would still trust any one of the men I trained with with my life but both of us women did happen to be the better navigators through what was supposed to simulate a building with so much smoke in it that you couldn't see. That was the only time that we were so starkly better than our brothers because, otherwise, we were about average. I did get the most push-ups probably because I couldn't stop myself from laughing when the drill instructor yelled right in my face. It shouldn't be funny but it just is.
Fire fighters. Emergency Medical services. Police officers. Armed services. Search & Rescue. Put there lives on the line everytime they are called out. So they deserve respect & recognition. 👏
I would like to say "thank you" to the firefighters who respond to the calls to fight fires and helping people when they are called and Do their best. Good film. Brook burns played a Good character.
All fire fighters and smoke jumpers are really angels 😇 unaware! Bless all those who risk their lives to save others! Film is brilliant 🙂 thank you dearly 🙏 for the upload 🥰
This was a good movie to watch. Great script, great acting as well. Much respect to all firemen, both men and women. While other's are running away from the fires. Their all running into the fires.
Everytime the five smoke jumpers got caught up in the blow up and died I cry everytime because I lost my best friend on June 30th 2013 Dustin Deford he was on Granite Mountain Hotshots Crew and they perished at the Yarnell Hill fire in Yarnell Arizona.
Jason Johnston, may his and the 18 firefighters memory be eternal to our Lord and Saviour. It was because of these brave men l learned that our government doesn't provide the necessary funding and equipment to all firefighters throughout the country. Very tragic.
Great movie I loved it my father was a firefighter paramedic for I don't know how many years he retired from it I have great respect for firefighters and the way they put their lives in danger to save other people
Extraordinary people doing Extraordinary things. Make sure you thank them for their neverending service to protect our lives. They come in many different types, and these men and women are doing this for all of us. Thank you.
Kristen is CUTE!! ❤️❤️😍😍 Great movie! Thank you so much to all the first responders, smoke jumpers, etc. for all you do. You guys and girls are all heroes!!
Surprisingly good movie. My daughter skydived for her birthday recently and she didn’t tell me till after coz she knew I would freak. Full respect for anyone that jumps out a plane for rescue or pleasure
Wow, what a stunning fire fighter lady, with a cute and lovely smile, skinny body, nice eyes and great hair. Would be a shame if she got her skin toasted during her fire fighting play lol Bush fires are here in Australia are very common and scary. I lost my home to a racing up the bush fire. Only had minutes of time to get my family in the car and race away, we lost everything about 25 years ago. Have great respect for our fire fighters, I could not do it.
This Was really awesome movie. I nip my hat off to all the fire fighters. They deserve a medal of honor. My Dad was a firefighter when I was little girl.
Hot Shots and Smoke Jumpers are the elite in what they do in the Forest I know because I was a Forest Frie Fighter out of MT. but now Retired but I still have my knowledge and training that I keep with me at all times
Okay, I was in the fire department when I was younger and I got so many push-ups during training that I was the only one to gain weight instead of losing it, even though I had been a bit chubby to begin with. I did gain solid muscle though and I went from weighing 215 lbs to 220 lbs during firefighter academy. While I put on pure muscle weight during training and was absolutely capable as a firefighter, I didn't drop the classic American fat. When I did drop it, I went down to 145 lbs of solid muscle and that happened because the yoga teacher at school was hot, plus yoga feels good, so I kept taking that class. Oh yeah, and I'm a chick, born and raised. What you need isn't a particular weight, but a particular physical capability. I did retire from the fire department, not because I was a woman, not because I wasn't strong enough, but because I am too susceptible to heat stroke. No one asked me to do so but I knew that my brothers (and they were all men at the time) would have risked their own lives to save mine. I don't think they liked me in particular but I knew they would have risked their lives for mine so I decided I wouldn't get into a situation where they might have to do that and I went back to school. It is harder for a woman sometimes but I have always found that laughing at jokes that might seem sexist to people outside of such a male-dominated circumstance will put people at ease and, guess what, the jokes they will first make in front of you aren't really sexist and you can make at least one or two in the other direction, to which they will very likely laugh too. Society makes too much of sex and gender and we need to get over that. Either you can do the job or you can't and that's it.
One of my friends who inspired me to join the fire department was a woman who was a smoke jumper. I was more aligned to the medical side when I joined so I did a lot of our medical calls but I went on a few wild fires too. I would have always love to have parachuted in general but, to this day, I have never gotten the chance. My friend, who was a smoke jumper for the CDF (California Department of Forestry) was also a skydiving instructor but I never had the money to jump myself and now I'm too damn old for any of that stuff. The most help I will be is in the case of a natural disaster when there aren't enough hands, let alone trained hands, and I have a couple of trained hands just in case.
Really a very good story. Fire is not something to play with. The hard teamwork between them are awesome. Thanks for unloading this movie. Must appreciated 😊❤
I take my hat off to all the fire fighters, police and ambulance workers and volunteers around the world for all they do to keep us safe, GOD bless each and everyone of them 🕊🙏❤
Excellent movie! Thank God there are men and women who want to dedicate themselves as smoke jumpers and firefighters. When normal people run from fires, these men and women move toward the fires. The smoke jumpers are a very special group who have the respect of the city firefighters.
Awesome Movie! Thanks for this very much, brought tears to my eyes. Especially when the smoker jumper sister rescued her own sister and brother in law and niece! Then She came out of the forest with her fellow smoke jumpers to meet with her former fire department co-workers who all gave her the salute! I remember Oregoon sent a hot shot team out from our State years ago to help with a fire and all of them were killed when the fire double backed on them, taking them by surprise because of sudden change of wind! It forever changed they way the hot shots trained, and they learned new techniques to protect themselves. Some of those techniques were demonstrated in this film. We have had very bad wild fire seasons in Oregon. I pray for our local fire fighters and all other local responders as well as other fire fighters all over the world. I pray for people, it is what I do. My friends and family love our fire firefighters and respect them 100 percent for the jobs that they do for us. Every time I hear a siren go off, of see a rig on the street I am especially called to prayer for them right then and there. If I come upon a fire firefighter, I take the time and effort (if they are not working at the time) ie shopping for groceries, or something, to walk up and shake their hand and thank them for doing what they do. This film is certainly a tribute to them. Thanks so much, God bless!!
Very good movie and it's great to see men and women working together and fight fires and helping people to save their homes and their lives God bless them all

A Truly Great Film of Fire fighters in The U.S.A and around the World who risk their lives to save others on a daily basis we salute them and we knew of one who also drove a fire tender and he worked on a part time basis. who finished what he was doing and rushed to the fire station to man the fire tender and also helped to attend to the fire etc. He was a painter and decorator as well as his part time fire fighter and fire tender driver. The motive of the movie is never take other for granted
Wow this is a great movie.
Thanks for sharing.
That was sooooo good!
I want to thank the firefighters that helped put out the largest fire in New mexico history this year, the Hermit peak fire. Also the black fire that came so close to home it was so scary. You saved so many homes, people and animals I thank you for that. But I also want to say to the ones that massivley screwed up the prescribed burn that caused the hermit fire you need a LOT more training before you ever step foot back in our forests and the hotshot teams and firefighters here also agree with this so don't come at me. It was a lot of error on the crew doing the burn that directly caused the fire. Thier inexperience cost people their livelihoods, homes, businesses, animals and so much more.
Excellent movie. Hats off to all these heroes and heroens
