- (these are now sold) In this video I do a flip through of my newest and BIGGEST Halloween junk journals. I am talking ginormous!! These journals are 10" x 7" and filled with loads of printed pages, papers, envelopes and over 150 tags and journal spots of different sizes. I show you each page with all the ephemera so you can see the entire thing. It consists of mostly pages and tags that I printed and complied for you to enjoy over the coming spooky season :)
I hope it will inspire you to make a very large Halloween junk journal for yourself :)

Such a great journal of spooky goodness!! The thought you put into not only the papers used but what went next to each on a page was above and beyond! Yes please to pictures/video of the skeleton and any other Halloween décor you’d like to share. I still haven’t gotten a chance to get started on mine- soon I hope. Great assist from Sophie with quality control making sure mom put her brand sticker on the journal.

What makes this journal that extra special is the added hair of cat, Sophie's fur. Is Sophie smoochier than Lucy or is it that Sophie likes the camera the most?
Hahahahahah!!! I try and "de-fur" any outgoing journals ;) Sophie is very soft and has a most luxurious coat but her fur is definitely different from Lucy's. I think it is thicker. They are very similar in some ways as far as being Siamese but at the same time they are very different. Lucy is slim(ish LOL!) and lanky, delicate and sort of dainty. Whereas, Sophie is solid...built like a tank. She is super fast and agile. She is built for speed and purpose as we say. When they first came we called Lucy Posh-Spice and Sophie was Sporty-Spice bc the "classification" really fits ;)
The BEST Halloween journal I’ve ever seen! I love the scaredy cats, and especially appreciate all the Poe references.(He fascinates me in a strange way!) You rocked these…I can tell that you enjoyed creating these…Sophie agrees! That cat stew recipe might have their hopes up. 😅

Awwww, thank you!! Very sweet (and spooky! LOL!) of you ;) I have to admit, I don't know much about Poe but he was an odd guy. His story is fascinating and I intend to learn more about him over the coming weeks. He is such an icon and yet his story is a bit elusive.Im going to see what is on YT about him. I wish there was an A&E Biography (with Jack Perkins!) about him LOL!...remember those or am I dating myself here??
I had a blast!! Took me forever but I enjoyed every minute of it.
Sophie is my number one fan ;) I have yet to see them with mice....Im very curious how it would go. They love tuna, I should have found a label for tuna in a witches brew ;)

Amazing journal - so inspiring! Do you have a video showing how you bind all the pages with the wire binding? Do you do that yourself, or do you send it out to be spiral-bound?
Thank you!! I don't have a video but could do a very quick one for you next week. I bought a coil binding machine from a place here in Canada. It was a bit expensive but it has paid for itself over the years so I am happy to have it. We R Memory Keeprs has a small coil binding machine that isn't too expensive. Have you seen that one ??
Yes - I just found it! I think that might be perfect! I’m going to start out with just repurposing old hardcover books, but I might try the wire bindings at some point down the road. Thanks for offering to make a video - you are too sweet!
Great news! Spiral does give you a few options and some "freedoms" that old books don't so it is nice to be able to mix and match. The one setback to the binding machines is that they can only go thru so much thickness so you can be limited to what you use as a cover. Depending on the journal you want to create, a good old three hole pamphlet stitch is a life saver too. The most important part is to just enjoy the process :)

Hi Susie! Those are 12” x 12” papers from scrapbooking pads. Some are individual sheets that I purchased from scrapbook.com and some I got from scrapbook paper sets on Amazon. Hope that helps 😁
