He was so cute!
A great comic, no one will be there without laughing when he is on screen....
He was a great actor
And so began the legend--the first official appearance, I believe, of Charlie as the Little Tramp, the all-time greatest iconic image in the history of the cinema. He'd appeared in numerous other roles prior to this, even in similar costume, but this film shows the debut of a fully-formed, 3-dimensional Tramp as a distinctive character, which Mr. Chaplin continued to perfect in all the many shorts to follow. That ending would make anyone choke up, giving the first early hints of Mr. Chaplin's skilfully unique blend of humor and pathos.
Charlie's first appearance as the Tramp was in 1914's "Kid Races at Venice," but the character does get more depth in THIS film.
Pe langa geniul lui Chaplin un fundal muzical extraordinar ...orga de biserica cu fluiere
There will never be another!
Imagine! A Hunred years old flick and still makes me laugh. Very important film from my childhood. I watched this from a VHS back in the day.
About 120. Seriously I was born in 1987. There was some release of various silent comedies on VHS. There was among other things this film and Coney Island starring Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle. Young Stanley Laurel's Smitty was also great. I recon they are all available here on UA-cam.
Released exactly 100 years from today - seems amazing
the greatest comedian of all time
I can't stop laughing 🤣🤣
Dumb innocent and weird personality of the character makes it funny
والله شكد احبة بس هوة لي يضحكني
No realy comedy after charlie ❤️
Nice
Charlie Chaplin's Tramp reminds me so much of Rowan Atkinson's Mister Bean.
Mr. Bean is indeed a bit inspired by Charlie Chaplin, however the techniques Atkinson uses in Mr. Bean are inspired by Buster Keaton
Gem person
this film is very funny
👌
Hi was very comic
🥰🤩🤡🥳
Music is not very good in this version, there is much better soundtrack in one of other UA-cam results.
😂😀😂
2020
Comic genius who started it all for many comics. Not many realised though that comics hide alot of sadness behind the laughter. He should have never been exiled out of the U.S that was wrong.
