I believe he has a greenhouse with a shade cloth in the backyard to harden the trees off before exposing them to full sunlight. This way they are also protected from potential low temperatures and strong winds during the transition.
Thank you for the response. That makes sense. I moved them out last season without transitioning and my season got setback significantly. This year I just moved them out from storage right when they started budding and so far I have been lucky enough to avoid any significant Frost or freeze.
Must be getting more difficult watering and inspecting the trees in the back. Do the trees show more signs of FMV the longer they stay indoors? Just wondering. All the best and thank you for your videos. Last year, you inspired me to set up my own indoor fig grow room. Thanks again.
I did not see any more fmv from these conditions. Didn't have any mites issues, and trees with fmv are touching ones without any fmv, and they grew without any signs. But that's just my present assessment.
Hi, sorry for the late response. Grow room lightening requires lengthy explanation, and I will eventually post that video. Shortly, lux are measurements intended for human room brightness. For plants photosynthesis, PAR ( photosynthetically active radiation ) is the light that matters, it is measured in PPFD. In my grow room, it varies, depending on tree's height, ranges from around 90 to around 200. What is important is to use full spectrum led lights. Try replicating what you see visually in my grow room, and improve if needed. I am still experimenting with mine.
Looks amazing Zarko! Almost time to move them out.
Yes, I am getting the shaded enclosure ready today. Weather looks positive,

Thanks for the video. Question: how are you going to acclimatize these already leafed out Plants to outside sun? Thanks!

I have a shaded area for transitioning. They will be sprayed with water if needed.
@@RayMirshahiThanks Ray, this year I plan to keep them all outside, hoop house only for protection from potentional freezing.
