Still listening 10 years later. In a time when Australia needs them more than ever, will Dead Kelly push forward and fucking engage us with a new album?
30 years ago I worked as FOH sound engineer for Goanna including the night the clip was recorded live at THE VENUE, St. Kilda. Never thought I would see (hear) someone doing a death metal cover of Solid Rock. Amazing !
@@spacegrass6632 ua-cam.com/video/n7GuPn2NvIw/v-deo.html just in case you want to listen to some current, melodic death metal. And you don't mind Melbourne sound. Don't mind some old biddy mistaking subgenres of metal lol, I'm probably at least 58 based on my Proud Mum, At least I'm not doing my "we're living in fascist times" rant
this song has so much power and is so aggressive yet so positive. makes you feel like you can accomplish everything. good one, cheers you underrated cunts.
Told my mates back in 90s wen we used to listen to sepultura slayer Pantera that they should do a heavy cover of this song and they didn't listen. Fucking brilliant

U have to be kidding me yeah? Although now retired, I used to work in the audio industry for over 27 years and during this time, I was fortunate enough to have dealt with almost every genre and style of music along side almost every different conceivable acoustic environment and in both residential & commercial capacities. This ‘style’ of music has never really been my cup of tea however, in saying that I can genuinely say that one thing’s for certain here,,, these fellas are truly immensely gifted individuals, showcasing something that is absolutely second to nothing else ever attempted with such a priceless piece of work. I can say that, (not because I’m familiar with the lyrics), but because it’s been that superbly orchestrated and masterfully executed, that every single key, note AND word is indeed clearly recognisable despite the epic amounts of energy and effort that its being played with. Again, I would like to remind you that this music style/genre never really appealed to me over the entire span of my career. 🤟
watched the original and saw a post stating that this was good, song started and i must say that it is a cruel joke, if only i knew one could scream like a loon and be famous
TheHam8919 metal is metal and none of us care that the vocals scare people. Its an aggressive percussive instrument in metal, as opposed to a central melodic instrument in pop music. He's never got singing lessons, but then again he is not pretending to be a gospel singer. ALSO try doing metal vocals for more than 30 seconds, its actually difficult as fuck.
I like the music.. but the vocals are really rather shit. maybe less constipation pain screams and a little more singing.. but other wise this is a really cool video.
Best cover of all time. Still great after all these years.

It's time to wake up Brisbane work ii out there no I in team says who
It would be better if the lyrics were understandable, I've read them and they actually hold meaning people should be able to hear
Out here nothin' changes
Not in a hurry anyway
You can feel the endlessness
With the comin' of the light 'o day
You're talkin' bout a chosen place
You wanna sell it in a marketplace
Well
Well just a minute now
You're standin' on
Solid rock
Standin' on sacred ground
Livin' on borrowed time
And the winds of change
Are blowin' down the line
Right down the line
Well round about the dawn of time
The Dreaming all began
A crowd of people came
Well they were lookin' for their promised land
We're runnin' from the heart of darkness
Searchin' for the heart of light
It was their paradise
Well they were standin' on
Solid rock
Standin' on sacred ground
Livin' on borrowed time
And the winds of change
Were blowin' cold that night
Well they were standin' on the shore one day
Saw the white sails in the sun
Wasn't long before they felt the sting
White man, white law, white gun
Don't tell me that it's justified
Cause somewhere
Someone lied
Yeah, well someone lied
Someone lied
Genocide
Well someone lied
And now you're standin' on
Solid rock
Standin' on sacred ground
Livin' on borrowed time
And the winds of change
Are blowin' down the line
Solid rock
Standin' on sacred ground
Livin' on borrowed time
And the winds of change
Are blowin' down the line
Solid rock
Standin' on sacred ground
Livin' on borrowed time
And the winds of change
Are blowin' down the line
No!
They are understandable.
Hoppy Bitter just gotta be familiar with the style I guess, like I listen to a lot of stuff in this genre so the lyrics are easy enough to make out.
piss off you flog

vocals are not main instrument in metal so chilax
true ken, i listened again and tried to ignore him, and it wasn't half bad, but well , you know
I normally hate this style of vocals, but I like to imagine they're doing it as a joke.
