My condolences to all who have lost their loved ones, homes and valuables in the ugly in incident of flooding in Maiduguri. May such never occur again
Its incredibly devastating and shocking. Oh dear, imagine the trauma of it all, psychologically, socially, mentally, and morally each individual victim is passing through, especially now, at a time like this, when families are barely able to feed, due to the sky rocket increases in the price of foodstuff, and general goods. Oh God!

This is the home state of the man whose lodge was renovated with 21 billion Naira; imagine how far the money would have gone in reducing the impact of this flood, if there was proper drainages in the state.

A dam close to the town had filled to capacity and subsequently collapsed from heavy rains these past weeks
I was in Maiduguri, there is Alou Dam that come from Camaroon and link to Lake Chard, it is really a big Dam. If Nigerian Government so serious, It can Generate Power, irrigation and so on and fort that can relive the economic hardship of this Country.
This is really bad. I hope one day , “we” will start doing things correctly. Until then more unnatural disasters to come. My condolences to these people, its so unfortunate.
