I want to commend you on your videos. Very detailed and this one certainly helped me in replacing my lift arm cable. Since I'm close to your Thurmont store, I was able to run down and grab all the parts that I needed. The staff down there was very helpful. If there's anything I would like to suggest it's please let the people know they will need a swaging tool to complete the install. I don't hear it mentioned in the video, and the people in your parts area did not mention it as well. Looking back, I realized if the cable was swaged, it wouldn't have fit through the butterfly bracket. So I understand the need to have not completed. It was just a surprise when I was installing it and found I needed to buy a tool. Fortunately, my local Homedepot has them on the shelf. If you have them at your store, it may be an additional sale while the customers are there.
Love how he just assuming we know how he got the arm off once the bolts were undone. Did you have to remove the cables completely first? How do you remove the cables?
What about a 4 stage arm? I feel like the stage cable assembly was slightly different. Anyone have a still diagram of cable connections? Thanks for any help.
@@popupcamperpro We are rebuilding the roof and had to take the screws out and one from the roof fell down the opening of the liftarm. The screw is not from the liftarm it's from the roof and I need to know if it needs to be gotten out or did it fall through?
Dude at 6:46 you Mount your stage cable, then the next scene shows it all pushed together and you use your drill to screw in something, What? Did it have a cable attached or what. You are assuming people know or even remember if it was shown earlier. But to prevent me from having to back this video up, then find my place again, it's easier if you say what you are doing, even if you think we should know
I am reinstating the screws that were taken out. Simply find the only screw holes in the arm that you removed screws from, then reinstall at the end of the job. I hope this is helpful. If not, I do have quite a few very more in depth tutorial videos on these arms and the components.
@@popupcamperpro yes thank you I caught that right after the comment. Thank you for responding. It's just I have one cable broke and there was no cable left in. So I was having trouble telling if I had 1 staging cable or two, etc. Fixing to put it back together tomorrow will let you know if we get it done. Really need the correct crimpers
I have a lift arm on a 2002 utah. It won't slide all the way down . the cable underneath goes slack so do you think something inside could be limiting the inner piece from sliding down? do they normally slide inside each other with nothing mechanical to impede it?

The cable must be disconnected first.

Can you make a video on diy adjusting when one corner or side is higher than the other?
Coming soon!
Do u have a video connecting the main line?
We do! Check out our lift cable replacement video.
You put grease on the pulleys? I though your only supposed to use silicone spray to lube them?
Silicone or equivalents are fine. Just no wd-40 or the likes.
How can I remove a liftarm without the cables being broken? Mine are in good shape but a screw fell down the arm and I cannot get it out with a magnet
If it’s a bolt end lift cable you can. If it’s a loop end lift cable it will need to be replaced

@@Agkemp yes it should be removed. You could also remove that side panel as well.
The lift cables are fine. I just need to know how to get a dropped screw out of the bottom of a liftarm or if it is fine how it is....
@@popupcamperpro can you do a video on how exactly to do that cause me and my brother are new at this
