One night, many years ago, sitting in the local kids baseball field parking lot , in my car, I was broken. My 2nd marriage of several years was not going very well. He was the love of my life, and my greatest pain. I sat there with tears flowing. A million tears to add to the billions I had cried and cried for year after year. I turned the radio on and this song came on immediately. It was the first time I had ever heard it or had heard this incredible band. It was a moment I'll never forget. For years after that, my marriage stayed bad. We broke up and got back together, off and on...and the promise of this song faded in my memory. It would get better for a while, but get bad again. So much pain and heartache. So many more tears. Fast forward to tonight. It's 16 + years later. I'm sitting on the porch and decide to listen to Selah on UA-cam and wouldnt you know, this song pops up. Oh how the memories flood back to that desperate night in my car at the Ball field. The hopelessness I felt. But the promise the Lord gave me that night, that moment when this song came on, has become a reality . My husband sits accrossed from me. The same man, the same marriage.... completely REDEEMED. I couldn't ask for a better man. The road was hard to get to where we are today. But I wouldn't have learned the lessons I've learned if I hadn't gone through the hell. I would've never known how to love unconditionally if he had met all of the conditions. I wouldn't have grown in strength and perseverance without the need for it. I am better today BECAUSE of all of the struggles, not inspite of it. Don't give up. Our Father can work miracles. Keep trusting in Him. Lay those tears on the throne of His grace. He sees you. He hears you. He loves you so much.
One morning while driving on a busy street stopped at a red light, I saw a young man who was walking to work and he clearly had disabilities. It immediately made me contemplate his life and some of the things he probably never will experience here on Earth. This song came on, "un"coincidentally and it made me realize that everything and everyone will NOT be unredeemed. It spoke so true to me, at that moment. I will never forget that day. I love how God uses ordinary people to speak to us!

He will love me when no one else will. And no matter how lonely this world can be, He has given me a promise that none of the hurts of this life will go unredeemed.
