- Wanted to get in a quick ride on Deception before the weather turned south, and conditions were good for video so I decided to try something different than my usual ride video... Original idea was to make it 2 minutes, but 2.5 is close enough.
Love the format of a short video just RIPPIN down the trail 👍👍
Nice and chunky! A chin mounted hero7? My videos shake a bit on rock gardens (chest mounted). Sweet run on that trail!
Chest mout all the way. I wear the Chesty really snug, with the cam elevated by extensions and extra support by the sternum strap from my pack run under the cam. A friend tried the chin mount, I wasn't impressed.
Gotdurt thanks for the tip! Keep on shredding!
Nice to see a brushy update. You are flying! Hero 7 seems working nice with stabilization. We are missing that picnic part!
Nah, the drop is the only highlight of Picnic-X :D
I actually did video Picnic too, but I wanted to end with blackout on the big X drop.
I like it! Although the abrupt ending on the drop left me with blue balls ;p
Haha, that was the idea... :D
You’re flying through Double Down! It’s crazy! You should make a video on snail trail with all those ramps and drops
One of these days I'll get back over that way, haven't been on Snail in a while. Technically it isn't "legit" though, so if I post it, it probably won't be labeled.
hahahah i always think that tree stump is a person too! haha
Nice highlights! I’ve yet to do the drop at 1:40. The uneven landing there scares me a bit, Any advice on hitting it?

Go back to about 1:38 and pause it, there's your line. I go nose-down a little... it's actually a really smooth landing; mind over matter. Really the most difficult part is setting up for the ledge coming at you (it used to be a pretty smooth slope up), but momentum is your friend...
@@CooperSellers LOL
Gotdurt thx for the tip. I’m sure it’s one of those where after you do it once you wonder why you were scared. I can get up that on coming ledge without problem but I’m not sure if coming off that drop makes it tougher or not. It seems like you can carry more speed via the drop versus coming around that turn on the right (the bypass line). Can you ride your line in the other direction? I’ve been tempted to try (but haven’t)
Cooper Sellers right on!
Good speed✊I keep hearing about Brushy just haven't been yet, is it out in Cedar Park or Round Rock?
The trails are mostly in Cedar Park, most used access is the sports park in the SW corner of Parmer and Brushy Creek Rd and another under 183A. You can also access via the paved trail that starts at the YMCA on 183 just north of Lakeline. Trails are on Trailforks, search "brushy".
Nice riding man, do you have a Strava?
Tried it a while back, but Strava's not for me; I'm old school :D
