This is the second review I've watched for this mower and I'm glad I watched you video because you addressed a few things that the previous video I watched didn't. Thanks for doing the video I'm pretty much sold on buying one now hopefully my husband will like it.
Just got one of these mowers. Thanks for the details about mower, the never changing oil and your tip about gas managment. I also liked your 2 year review. Thanks again.
Would you mind if I ask your opinion of it now? I noticed your video is 10 months old and was curious what you thought about it after almost a year of use.
I bought this from sams club after 3 lawn cuts it wouldn’t start, I checked fuel, spark, Reset the magneto, pulled 2 times and it started, takes about one hour to mow my yard, with 3 swipes left it cut out, let it sit over night and started on the first pull
Bought one 4 yrs ago. I've had carb issues and has gas in oil but runs fine. Changed oil with full synthetic 10w30. After a yr, the transaxle don't roll reverse until it's used a few minutes. It sits for 2 weeks. I get 3 mows on one tank of 89 octane gas. Chute falls off, side discharge clogs easily so I hold it open with a bungee strap. Mulch plug fills with grass
@@TheSmokingBeard I recommended the mower to a friend in Florida, after 5 months his started leaking oil from crankshaft bushing at bottom. Sam's club said the warranty didn't cover that. I'm not getting rid of mine anytime soon because I wanted a rwd push mower. My first mod for it will be to figure out how to make a bracket to mount eazymow wheels from Amazon. Love those wheels, they're made in Texas and only ship inside USA. There's only one set in UK and I sent them to a friend there
Most recent issue is the transaxle locked up. It's a well known issue and only found one place to get it but they're currently out of stock. Outdoor power supply
My drive pulley broke and not sure where to find replacement. I placed an order by mistake and got the engine pulley. Any one had luck with finding drive pulley.
It depends on the angle you use to pull. I'm 6'2" so my angle will be different to use. As far as adjustable speed, that is done on how hard you squeeze the self propel lever.
You need to pull it slowly. If it doesn't move, you might have a defective one or check the bottom to see if nothing is stopping the blade from turning.
Greatest respect but I wouldn't buy a self propelled for any money . They always end up failing and are a nightmare to fix . I've just bought a conventional push yard force mower and happy with it ..Not the greatest but for the money is good value for a standard mower .
I've had mine for a while now and really happy with it. The one before this one was also a self propelled and the only reason I replaced it was because the housing on to broke. It had nothing to do with the propelling mechanism.
make sure to post a end of season review too. these are super junk mowers at sam's, have fixed 5 so far, that had 40 mows each, sad no oil change plug have to dump old oil out the fill tube, stuck valves, wheel bearings are not sealed, bag has a stitched section inside that fills up with dirt an has to be cut to empty lol Make sure to use quality synthetic oil so it will last 5 years hopefully
@@elcomandante9299 local mower shop had some at same price with better warranty they actually honored unlike sam's club didn't honor any part of the warranty. 3yrs from date of purchase the carb went and, done replaced it twice in a yr and won't run without starter fluid
The tutorial was to quick for a new beginner putting together a lawnmower. Slow down the steps so a person who is not on your level can learn the process
Or you can pause and go back... the problem with drawing it out is that some people look at the length of video and if it's too long they will skip it regardless of how good the content is.
Mower stalled after start and would not re start, determined to say it’s an fuel issue I pulled the carb, push on type with o ring, turned hex plug off on bottom of carb and could see inside, all plastic, shook a few times, put carb back on would not start, tapped carb 15 times, mower started and was able to finish entire yard, Spend the extra $100 on a mower that will last you 20 years, this mower is junk
This is a terrible brand. If it breaks down, no repair shop will touch this brand. They don't recognize it and they don't have parts. Don't waste your money. I am a real customer who bought a real Yardforce at Sam's Club
JUNK mower. Chinese parts are only available from one source in USA. NO support. Buy a Toro Recycler...I repair them after years of service...most they need is a belt replacement due to age, sometimes a traction cable.
It's been over 3 years since I bought it and I've had no issues yet. Thanks for the advice, once this one breaks down I'll look into your recommendation.
Totally useless video. You speed through it and start with the long handle, not lower handle. I need to see which part you use and where it goes, I cannot tell how to secure the lower handle. This video is of no use to me.
Thank you for helping me set up my mower.
No problem. Have had mine for over 3 years and still going strong.

You're welcome
Can it be used as a push mower without using the self propelled feature?
Yes... just don't pull down the self propel lever down.
Would you mind if I ask your opinion of it now? I noticed your video is 10 months old and was curious what you thought about it after almost a year of use.
So far so good. I haven't had any problems so far.

Did you check the spark plug?
I haven't had an issues with mine.
Reset the magneto? Why wud u do that for?
Great video, I’m gonna inbox mine tomorrow morning
Have fun!

I've had it since around the time I posted this video with no issues. You might have received a lemon.

Uffa... buy from Costco... their return policy is a lot more generous
@@TheSmokingBeard I'll have to remember that. Sam's club and Costco are both an hour away from me and are less than a mile apart

Not me
My transaxle recently locked up. Found a new one but they're out of stock currently and it's a well known problem
How easy is it to pull start? I'm a lady getting older and not as strong as I used to be. Also, can you adjust the speed of the rear wheel drive?
It depends on the angle you use to pull. I'm 6'2" so my angle will be different to use. As far as adjustable speed, that is done on how hard you squeeze the self propel lever.
Thanks for the info. I got mine tonight and will be putting it together tomorrow.

Whats the horse power on this bad boy?
6.75
You didn't explain how to put lower assembly together
?
What happens to the Honda?
Nothing. It ran great. I was able to find this one and saved about 150 dollars in the process.
Thanx I subbed. Always appreciate useful videos. Im getting a black one. They are 50 bucks cheaper than the troy bilt.
Cool
Thanks for the video

Is it worth it? Thinking about buying one tomorrow
Bought mine close to a year ago and haven't had any issues.

I added the oil it came with the whole bottle and my mower is smoking like crazy. Any suggestions?

DISCLAIMER!!!!!!!!! OIL DOES NOT LAST FOR EVER AND SHOULD BE REPLACED AS OVERTIME THE OIL WILL FILL UP WITH METAL PLEASE CHANGE THE OIL.
Thanks
Snapper makes the same mower with better warranty jusy different color and different wheels pattern
Good to know...
@@TheSmokingBeard I learned that when I went to a local mower shop. Looks like they don't make it anymore
Same model as Snapper at one fifth of the price.
