The beautiful consistency of the English Football Pyramid is that he manages to embarrass himself trying to talk to a linesman no matter the level.
There is no animosity between the two Ultras groups and sometimes we'll stand together at away games. We have different songs but the same values. The smaller group is made up predominantly of foreigners who want to stand behind the goal like they would back home.
Also not to be annoying but the crest at the 3min mark is Clapton FC not Clapton CFC. We're a break away club which split from the former after a lengthy dispute with the original chairman over prize tickets.
The tickets for my Team Fortuna Düsseldorf in the german 2. Bundesliga are for free. Three home games this season our club is giving away every single ticket, even the away ones (56.000 in total) in a kind of lottery system where you can apply and every winner gets drawn randomly. It's called "Fortuna für Alle" which translates to "Fortuna for everyone" and it's a new and innovating system that has been invented by us to get more people involved with local football and also give a chance to people who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford paying a normal ticket.
You should definitely take a look at it, this Sunday will be the last free match this season but we are planning to do more games or if possible every single game for free in the future.

You should definetely try. Ill be there this weekend and the last two free games were fantastic. As a tip: You can try asking a person with a permanent ticket. They get two free tickets, even in the fan curve and can give them to anyone.

@@samelmudir only 3 games this season. no need to be a member. everyone can apply! there are still very few single tickets left on their official website from people who can't make it that day. just put the ticket in your shopping cart and it will cost you 0€.
Maybe once a year you should gather all your mates and do football challenges/trivia and the winner at the end gets to choose the match you all go to.

Met the Clapton keeper when his old team played my local team Exmouth in a friendly few years ago. He gave us some training hoodies etc. lovely bloke, even took some photos with us. Really good keeper too tbf.

I’ve been in the “scaffold” at Clapton before last game of the season in maybe 2017? Last game of the season their highest league finish in years and it was an amazing day with flares and going on the pitch etc, since then I know the club has had troubled times and had to play in a local park for a few years and only recently got their stadium back and now a community club

Good to see Clapton CFC back at the Spotted Dog. Bought it out and got it back up to scratch after spliting from the original club - effectively known as 'Zombie Clapton' now. Hopefully they can push up the leagues

We have a few regulars who are AFC Wimbledon fans so I'd keep the MK Don's connection quiet. 😂 But apart from that you won't regret the visit.
Went here in pre-season the ground is actually the oldest football ground still in use in England I believe, they were unsure at the time if they would be able to keep playing there but luckily they have and the pitch is in much better condition now from the looks of things, great video again Ellis

I’m yet to get to The Old Spotted Dog, but I saw them at Wadham Lodge on a 4G cage a few years ago and it was amazing to see the fans in such an environment.
Also saw them come to my local club in the cup and they bought a very good following 60 miles north during a rail strike.
My first ever football blog (yes I’m old fashioned) was on my visit there.
Funnily enough, AwayDays is one of the only football realted channels that my 2 year old and 1 year old will watch haha. Thank you haha

I was just at a Clapton game a few weeks back, great atmosphere. There's a bit of "hipsters pretending to be hooligans" vibe but also pretty chill and self aware. Also the woman from Chicken Shop Date was there in the home section for some reason.

Love the message here! And basically the same applies for german non-league amateur football, most of us have a local team somewhere in the depths of the 6th to 12th tier. And almost all of them are so happy about every visitor, supporter or fan that visits, brings in some money to help the clubs, drink some cheap beverages (2-3€ for a drink), have some nice Bratwurst that is way better than in the big stadiums anyway and enjoy yourself!
For something completely different, how about checking out the Philippines Football League which has just started this month lol.
Due to how the scheduling/locations were set up, the 15 clubs based in 10 different cities will only be playing in 4 venues, and there's 1 venue (Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila) that will host a majority of the matches.
Hence you can actually get a One-Day Pass (in games played in Rizal Memorial Stadium) for £2.10. You can watch 3 matches with just one ticket lol. So you could theoretically watch 6 different teams play their league games on a single day.

No lie, this is awesome! Being on the other side of the pond but growing up immersed in soccer (footy); I wish I had followed a couple friends to Denmark and tried my luck when I turned 18. Played competitively in the States until 2001 (Tier 3/4 USA) . Sponsors but zero pay LOL
In my club, Feirense, in the second portuguese division, the tickets are free every game, and still the stadium of 5 thousand is always half empty. Sad to see.

It's funny my local club has two supporter groups who stay away from each other as well. It's 4th tier ball in the U.S. so it's similar to this 10th or 9th tier we see in England. Probably the only supporters at our level (4th tier) to actually do the whole gimmick and follow the team with flags, Pyro, banners and chants

I remember the Spotted Dog pub which was situated next to where the club noticeboard is now.
Still there but has been left to rot unfortunately. Someone bought it and planned to make it into a pub with bed and breakfast upstairs. But nothing as come of that yet. I believe it's a listed building (it was Henry VIII's hunting lodge) so thankfully it can't be demolished.
