I have the 570 mid size ranger UTV down here in New Zealand, seems to be exactly same , great video thanks for your help to view this before doing the job. I did a stator voltage test on AC meter and have two phases reading low voltage and one at the correct voltage around 22 volts at idle - so guessing stator is cause of low charge rate and need to replace.
@@chrisward405 not many people on UA-cam do that. They fabricate a lie to be truth. Also Mountain dew is where its at. Also Chevy is where its at. That ford is okay too.
Nice, thanks for the excellently explained video! I wonder if the Voltage Reg. is my issue on my Polaris Rzr s 900 (?) A few days ago I was inflating my back tire w/ a portable tire pump using the 12v inside Rrz's cab (I did not have the UTV on nor in idle, was off), and all of a sudden inflator stopped, thought I just blew a fuse again....Nope! Fuses all good, I just have no power to anything now, not even break-lights, brand new charged batt too..
Thank you so much. I’m not mechanically smart but you made this easy for me to change the stator. So I changed the stator but not the voltage regulator yet. After I changed the stator and started it back up, the temp gauge light came on after a few minutes and shut the ATV off. I topped off the anti freeze etc…… the temp light has not been on before. Did I screw something up in the process? Thanks again……..you made this so easy to do
So far mine is holding up well too. Replaced rectifier and stator from RMStator and it did great up in Wva on the trails with no issues. Relocated the rectifier up over my left shoulder and it was easier to clean too :) . Thank you again for the reply and video.
Thanks for the great video. i thought the stator would be a lot bigger job than that. any chance you'd share your parts source or were those OEM parts?
I got a 2014 Polaris sportsman ace 325 that won’t start, I rode it for a few hours then got it back home it was hard to start back up and I eventually got it running then park it and now it won’t start if you know anything that could help me i would appreciate thanks
Is was cheap enough to justify changing both at the same time. We were going on a weekend trip and I didn't want to have any issues as well. Again it was cheap enough to just do both
They are cheap enough I just changed them both since I already had it in the shop. Polaris had an issue with the stator and rectifier so I upgraded and eliminated the possibility of breaking down on the trails
@@chrisward405 thanks for your reply and the video it helps alot,am working on one now the voltage stay at 12v and would drop down when I rive the motor
Makes no sense to replace the stator if it isn’t bad. Especially with a cheap eBay stator. I’d much rather leave the EOM stator in the bike and just replace the faulty regulator.
Thank you for the video dude 👍
No problem 👍
Good stuff bud i did not know that it was that easy....now I do thank you bud

Hey mate same problem, what was the outcome? Cheers
@@NzWapHunter yep stator easy to see one phase was dark/burnt. Bought new new stator and all going well charging correctly
a video of all the trucks you own and what not. overall all your videos are awesome. been watching for awhile. keep it up.
Lol I was planning on something like that in the near future. Thanks again for your support
@@chrisward405 thanks for not being full of shit when you talk about stuff. maybe its just a midwest thing. its apperciated.

You can test stator and regulator with an Ohm Meter so you don't have to replace what is good.
Awesome video....have to do this on this exact machine , thank you

I don't see how you messed anything up.
Do a video on refilling the coolant properly! Haha 😄
Thank you for the video ,Chris. I''m in the middle of this right now. Question, how has the seal holding up, can't get one for two weeks?
Holding up just fine. No issues

Why are you replacing the stator and regulator, were both bad?
Is was cheap enough to justify changing both at the same time. We were going on a weekend trip and I didn't want to have any issues as well. Again it was cheap enough to just do both
@@chrisward405 how did the aftermarket ones hold up? I've never had any last.
@rlafave14 I had no issues out of them. I sold both aces about a year ago so I ran them on several rides and had no other problems
@@chrisward405 do you remember what brand they were?
Not sure. It bee a couple years since I did the video. I'm not sure if I mentioned it in the video

Kinda fast forwarded over the part I needed to see the most

The oem stator sucks. Mine died in a few hundred hours
