Thanks, Chronic! I really appreciate it 🙂 I’m always working on more videos, a lot of work goes into them. If you liked this, there’s more coming soon and eventually a tutorial for this version of Cliffs. I’d really appreciate if you subscribed! And I’m sure you wouldn’t regret it.
Not often a guitar cover comes along leaving speechless.. I’ve been waiting to see a video like this for decades.
Amazing job dude just incredible playing and attention to copying Eric. You are a special talent
He also played it live at an open mic: ua-cam.com/video/8qFD-tDtnNA/v-deo.htmlsi=6aNGFSXpyURI5Nwi
You completely nailed it. Not just the playing but that TONE! Sound incredible!
Shocked to hear he passed away. I used to watch this cover regularly 🥺 Love from India 🇮🇳
This guy died??
@@saucybaka4439 yes 😞
@@apoorvsuresh762 How?
@@biswasronit Unfortunately, I don't know how
@@biswasronit I saw a comment that he died of a car crash going to a show
My God…..this is one of the best covers of this song I have ever seen and I’m a huge Eric Johnson fan. Bravo!!
Dude! Amazing cameo! Great playing! I really enjoyed your video!! :)
Thanks a lot man! A lot of work went into making the video come out as well as it did, so I’m glad you liked it.
@@BondiJames You’re welcome! I sure did! Btw, feel free to subscribe to my channel, check out some of my videos and leave a comment! ;)
🤘🏻🤟🏿 you're a perfect guitar player, I'm so proud of you!
You have to REALLY love this music and that tone to dedicate this kind of time and effort to getting it so close....i LOVE you for putting in that effort dude. This is fantastic and a great tribute.
I agree with all the comments. Unbelievable performance. I was not expecting this at all. Thank you!
Man You deserve a way more bigger recognition 5:10 i just cant help smiling, cause in the original live version here, it seems ej got stuck little bit ,I THINK ITS A PITY for its the most beautiful and moving part of the song !but you did it smoothly i reckon that even ej himself would be astonished!
I'd love to see his reaction to it! I suppose it'll be a while before this video gets enough views/traction to get his attention, but I'm certain he'll see it at some point regardless.
@@BondiJames got you covered bro I’ll make sure he sees it
I don't think I've ever listened to the whole song...until now. Outstanding!!!🤯😎🎶
No jokes here; this kid is good, and the tone is spot on.
He died.
Holy shit. I was expecting a half assed version of the song with the costume for a joke but by fuck you played the shit out of that. Genuinely one of the best covers of this version of cliffs of dover ive ever listened to. As a musician of 20 years I have to give you full and genuine respect. You knocked this shit out of the park
Edit: also, the tone bro, christ. I use single coils instead of humbuckers in my primary. Old school Les Paul with P-90s. Couldnt imagine my baby sounding like that in a million years
My first reaction: Dude! There's no way
My second reaction at the harmonics: Dude....
My reaction around the middle: Dude....
My reaction at the end: Dude!
Amazing man! Just amazing! There's still hope
😢
This is awesome! I love it....Feels like that magical night in Austin!
I've seen a lot of covers of this song, and many are good, but this is the best I've ever seen by a mile. Tone, performance, everything. Hopefully the algorithm catches this one and your channel.
Thanks so much, Aaron! It looks like the algorithm is picking it up; the rate at which the view count rises has, itself, been rising. If you haven't subscribed yet, I'd appreciate it a whole lot if you did! I'll be posting more videos of even better quality as I become more adept at creating videos and mixing the direct-input audio recordings I use in them/editing the videos themselves in terms of shot cuts/transitions. And I'm more than positive you'd enjoy those future videos just as much as this one! :)
The algorithm finally caught it, wish Bondi was still here to see it 😢
Wow, what incredible talent. There's so much going on in the song. I can't even remember all the riffs, let alone play them. Supremely talented human! Love it.🎸
Insanely amazing.
Absolutely amazing. My favourite live version and now my favourite cover. Perfect! Bravo, sir. Subscribed.
Thanks a million, man! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video.
This is AMAZING dude!🤘🏻🔥
Thanks, Sky! I really appreciate the compliment. If you could subscribe, that'd also be very highly appreciated! I won't flood your feed with low-quality videos, just the occasional gem like this one. :)
Dude my jaw was on the floor the entire video. Absolutely incredible. Subscribed!
You playing this on a Squier just makes me feel so unworthy of my guitar collection. Well done brother!
You have no idea how much he spent building and fixing up his guitars, time and money too
I feel the same way, I've amassed a fairly nice collection of guitars over the last 10 years and I couldn't play this anywhere near this good.
@@edlaw51501 I’m thankful some of my guitars used to be his, I cherish that. Glad you can share the joy of collecting guitars
@DisRespectoids It's become my biggest vice, I feel one can never have enough guitars, my wife has made somewhat of a demand I can buy any guitar I want but if I buy one I have to sell one . I stick to that rule about every other guitar I purchase, so it's like 2 for 1 .
Very impressive indeed. Totally nailed and on a Squier (modified I assume?):
