The problem with Traffic Wardens is theyre never in places that'll actually help traffic flow. Instead of patrolling high problematic areas, they just hang around empty backstreets and carparks.
So true there's a shop I deliver to every week in a town center and there is always without fail cars parked in the loading bay on the road forcing me to unload my truck in the middle of the road creating absolute traffic chaos... Got even once though completely blcoked the car in the loading bay just as I got out the cab the car's driver got back and was stuck in the bay for 25 minutes as I took my sweet ass time.
Doesn't change the fact people parking Illegally. People park outside all my house all the time despite it being double yellows, just so they can get to the shop near me easily. In the end residents asked for more parking warden patrols to combat it.

Armchair General. Traffic Warden ticketed one of my 7.5t vans that was there delivering saying that the van was in a zone where only 3.5t and below were allowed... Behind my van was a Greggs 18t lorry and that wasn’t ticketed

When I hit 40 I bought my dream car an f-type because basically I'd reached the pinnacle of my profession and was the first time I could now afford a car like that. I taken it on road trips to south france, switzerland etc and just love driving. I immediately fell into the 'mid-life crisis' category. You can tell who your real friends are by peoples reactions. My true friends love it and say well done you deserve it while the haters first comment is 'haha mid-life crisis then?' and then no further questions. Any 2 seater car lke that attracts jealousy and if you're young it's 'daddy paid for it', in your 30s you're obviously a t***** business man/banker and 40 it's obviously going through a mid-life crisis.
i had someone say the 'mid-life crisis' thing to me the other day...i'm late 40s and currently driving a 350bhp MK5 GTI...i responded by saying if that's the case it started in my mid 20s!
Parking wardens in my opinion likened to a faction of a certain European country in the 1940's. I suffered from a horrendous condition which required multiple serious operations and numerous hospital visits. One day, after an op in a hospital, I drove back. Started feeling a bit weird and decided to pull over in case it was a bit more serious. It was a quiet street, marked parking bays but not a single car. I was quite ill by this time.... parking warden comes up. Explained to him, that I wasn't feeling well, showed the hospital wrist band, the huge hospital bag with dressings, medicine etc. Couldn't care less, wrote a ticket and walked off. He was lucky I was so ill by that point that it put me off running him over... which I seriously considered doing, just to improve the human race!
As a Dane it hurts to live in this country. First priority is to move to another country, already got paperwork done with the Canadian Embassy and now it's just waiting. By the time I am done with my apprenticeship as an auto mechanic, I can potentially move immediately. There's a lot of things that I am missing out on, but looking forward to the future of what I can achieve by NOT being in this country. Is what drives me forward.
Looked at the ad for the CRX, the interior / steering wheel doesnt look like that of a 10,000 mile car. Plus the numbers are out of line on the odometer. Needs a through checking I reckon, especially if you were mad enough to try and buy it.
I haven't had many interactions with parking wardens but the one i remember was from Bridlington. I had parked up in the car park and had a disabled person with me but the car park still required me to pay. The traffic warden saw me and told me if I park in the spaces that surrounded the outside of the car park it would be free, saving me £5
I worked in an office in the centre of Edinburgh back in 2003, and a new piece of machinery we bought arrived on a truck at 7am. We had arranged for another company to supply us with equipment to 'walk' the machinery down a flight of stairs and into the basement. The equipment we hired was too small for the bit of machinery so we had to call in a crane to lower the bit of machinery down to the basement level and through a fire door, which didn't get done until 1pm. Anyway, when the boss realised the problem just after 8am we called up the 'Blue Meanies' in Edinburgh and explained the situation and they were cool with it. In the end the delivery van sat on double yellow lines on Broughton Street from 7am to 1pm, and the crane from around midday to 1pm and the traffic wardens that walked by didn't bat an eye lid and didn't ticket the vehicles. If you have a problem that's going to take a few hours, call them up first as they were really cool about the situation.

A stock 2000 Civic SI went for $52k here in the US so I see where they’re going with the CRX. There’s almost none left stock let alone low miles. I guessed more for the 205 until I heard the miles. Nobody wants a 944 Turbo that much. Lol
I remember visiting Denmark to see my mum back in the 80's and 90's. The Skoda Estell and Lada Riva were very popular. Deemed as a luxury good and heavily Taxed, yet health care and basic living is reasonable.
When I was living in Luton, the parking situation was a nightmare and I often had to park in meter bays that were free of charge overnight between 6pm - 8am. Moral of the story is ticket people are just normal people like you and I doing their jobs and they're probably good people!
I would call myself naive in how human I regard people like parking wardens, etc. However this weekend I got booked by a man who smirked at the thought that I wouldn’t have any evidence of the fact that I hadn’t even entered the car park at the time he “observed my car”. He just drives into car park and slaps a ticket on any unattended vehicle without a ticket. (I had stopped to observe the view and there is 10min free parking). Luckily I have dash am footage, but I wish I had told him just to see the smirk whipped off his face when he realised he’s not getting away with it this time.
Traffic Wardens aren’t hated for what they do, it’s the sneaky underhand way they do it. If they were really about stopping unsafe parking then they would be a lot more visible rather than hiding around the corner waiting till you are just out of sight so they can get you.

One for driving into the congestion zone in London because I was in the wrong lane in a very confusing roundabout and one because I had the backend of my car on a striped area on a crossing. I couldn't even pay for the CC after the fact because I didn't have a credit card at the time. With I paid 180€ when the fines came and 180 more because they "didn't get the money in time". Driving in London sucks big time!
Just a tip for the battery for the Jazz. Make sure you buy the right one. I bought the wrong battery for my car. (Not a Jazz.) It was a Ford, but it still applies I bought a cheap one $80.00, but it was 2 tall to fit under the hood. So I had to go back and buy a low profile battery $150.00

When i get back from a 12 hour shift and i cant park down my own road because half the people cant park close enough to fit more cars in, i end up driving around my local area for around ten to twenty mins searching, and sometimes give up and park on the yellow lines down my road. 😪

14/04/2021. The CRX is still on auto trader, the price has been reduced to a rather delightful £39,750. Still ridiculous and the other 5 for sale ( bar the “ very rare type r” £20,000 ) are under 10 big ones.
My dad did that with the oxy-acetylene and the trash-bag once before I was born. He smoked back then, and one failed to light off, so he went in to re-light it with his cigarette, and nearly blew his face off. This was back in his hippy days, so he apparently had a beard down to his belly button, and I've never known him to be able to grow a beard since then. They had to graft pig skin to his forehead, but we're pretty sure the beard saved the rest of his face.
Can empathise with Ethan - My Audi A2 battery is "well off" and my Noco jump pack has been living in the back next to the battery.... Been a lifesaver more times than I can care to remember and still not replaced it.....
to be fair haven't watched this episode yet but there are 3 parking companies in my area 3 areas not clearly defined I have asked for a layout from all 3 which i haven't got and further than that straight after 6pm people park in my area without a ticket because they know they are fine until the next morning at 9 am which leaves me no place to park and its not a pay and display in the area at all and i got given a ticket even though I couldn't park in the place i was permitted and i can get a permit for one of the other areas but their phone line hasn't worked all covid they don't answer their emails and their parking permit to buy online wasn't working either and had the street name is spelt wrong so for awhile i was genuinely questioning the legitimacy of the company in the first place so some of us are just screwed over from start to finish on that's on me getting completed Fd in the A or is that somehow my fault?
The only time I have ever got a speeding ticket was in Australia in a rental car, $180, they are shit hot on speeding over there. Fortunately it was the last day of a 3 month holiday so just chucked it in the bin and caught the plane the next day. That was 22 years ago :)
Usually would agree, unless it's in Lambeth. Had 2 tickets cancelled. 1 issued at 23:00 when restrictions ended at 19:00 & no ticket on car. Another when parked in bay with valid ticket on display. Warden saw me approaching and jumped into a waiting car!!!!!!
Haha!! I own a 1989 944 S2 Cabrio and a 1992 205 1.9GTi!!! I wish my Porker was worth even half that, my Puggo not worth half that either (even though mine has much less mileage!). Then again, mine are still driven regularly and are both keepers (they were 2 of my dream cars when I passed my test in 89), so don't really care what value is put on them: I ain't selling! 😉
Honestly, I ‘guessed’ the price of the Peugeot 205.....but only because your description matched exactly to one I looked at just the other day. I suspect the car was one reviewed by Petrol Ped about 8 months ago, so when I saw the video recently, I checked out the dealer in Sussex and realised they’d dropped the price from when Pete drove it, to the one you stated. About traffic wardens, I live on a busy main road so have to park in public parking bays, and i have a permit but there are so many restrictions around them, like you can park in the multi story up until 8am weekdays, 9am Saturdays and all day Sunday, and you can't park in certain bits of roads. I think its stupid I sometimes have to spend 20 minutes looking for a space, when there are hundreds free but in the wrong zone or the multi story. I've been given tickets for parking 20 minutes over, and my permit wasn't visible. Etc.. I honestly hate it, there's an empty car park that I can't park in so I have to park much further away. End of rant.
Why act surprised when it comes to CRX? I have seen high mileage example go for well over 12K £. these cars have been tuned and destroyed by the bundles. finding a pristine CRX is less likely than finding a pristine E30 M3. Also thanks Maisie for the tail chasing entertainment. 😄

I'm a honda Mega fan and had 2 CRX's and many of the other models but for £50K I'd rather have an NSX.

I arranged to sell one of my Omegas to some lads from Ireland, they turned up in an Omega they had just purchased from Bradford and said they couldn't take mine back home too, funnily enough they also negotiated a bumper off me too, along with a manual gearbox I happened to have.
14/04/2021. The CRX is still on auto trader, the price has been reduced to a rather delightful £39,750. Still ridiculous and the other 5 for sale ( bar the “ very rare type r” £20,000 ) are under 10 big ones.
My dad did that with the oxy-acetylene and the trash-bag once before I was born. He smoked back then, and one failed to light off, so he went in to re-light it with his cigarette, and nearly blew his face off. This was back in his hippy days, so he apparently had a beard down to his belly button, and I've never known him to be able to grow a beard since then. They had to graft pig skin to his forehead, but we're pretty sure the beard saved the rest of his face.

to be fair haven't watched this episode yet but there are 3 parking companies in my area 3 areas not clearly defined I have asked for a layout from all 3 which i haven't got and further than that straight after 6pm people park in my area without a ticket because they know they are fine until the next morning at 9 am which leaves me no place to park and its not a pay and display in the area at all and i got given a ticket even though I couldn't park in the place i was permitted and i can get a permit for one of the other areas but their phone line hasn't worked all covid they don't answer their emails and their parking permit to buy online wasn't working either and had the street name is spelt wrong so for awhile i was genuinely questioning the legitimacy of the company in the first place so some of us are just screwed over from start to finish on that's on me getting completed Fd in the A or is that somehow my fault?
CRX the Blista Compact in old GTAs and it's the best for getaways cuz its fast right off the line like 0 to 30, and FWD can't be spun out easily
The only time I have ever got a speeding ticket was in Australia in a rental car, $180, they are shit hot on speeding over there. Fortunately it was the last day of a 3 month holiday so just chucked it in the bin and caught the plane the next day. That was 22 years ago :)

I find the people who moan about traffic wardens are the ones who park like bellends or in a place you're not meant to park.
Usually would agree, unless it's in Lambeth. Had 2 tickets cancelled. 1 issued at 23:00 when restrictions ended at 19:00 & no ticket on car. Another when parked in bay with valid ticket on display. Warden saw me approaching and jumped into a waiting car!!!!!!

Haha!! I own a 1989 944 S2 Cabrio and a 1992 205 1.9GTi!!! I wish my Porker was worth even half that, my Puggo not worth half that either (even though mine has much less mileage!). Then again, mine are still driven regularly and are both keepers (they were 2 of my dream cars when I passed my test in 89), so don't really care what value is put on them: I ain't selling! 😉

Honestly, I ‘guessed’ the price of the Peugeot 205.....but only because your description matched exactly to one I looked at just the other day. I suspect the car was one reviewed by Petrol Ped about 8 months ago, so when I saw the video recently, I checked out the dealer in Sussex and realised they’d dropped the price from when Pete drove it, to the one you stated. Aren’t I just the clever one.....!

About traffic wardens, I live on a busy main road so have to park in public parking bays, and i have a permit but there are so many restrictions around them, like you can park in the multi story up until 8am weekdays, 9am Saturdays and all day Sunday, and you can't park in certain bits of roads. I think its stupid I sometimes have to spend 20 minutes looking for a space, when there are hundreds free but in the wrong zone or the multi story. I've been given tickets for parking 20 minutes over, and my permit wasn't visible. Etc.. I honestly hate it, there's an empty car park that I can't park in so I have to park much further away. End of rant.
To be fair that’s not the wardens fault, it’s the bell-ends in your local council that usually set up the parking zones and restrictions.

Why act surprised when it comes to CRX? I have seen high mileage example go for well over 12K £.
these cars have been tuned and destroyed by the bundles. finding a pristine CRX is less likely than finding a pristine E30 M3.
