To be fair we easily could have seen something like this when 8, projectors have been around longer than us. The only problem is that the effect is ruined when anyone walks into the area and it casts a huge shadow.
I have seen MANY seasonal decorations over my past 39 years of life, including in-person and videos here on UA-cam... Everything from train sets that go around a person's entire yard and inside their house, musically-coordinated light shows, make-shift haunted houses, dancing decorations, etc... This is hands-down THE most amazing seasonal decoration I have EVER seen.
I grew up watching the original Ghostbusters & this is beyond OUTSTANDING!! Building usable websites is hard enough for me… thinking about the amount of coding I’d have to do for something like this is insanity, lol! Kudos to you! 👏🏽🙌🏽🙇🏻
Those neighbours didn't know what they signed for. They'll never be satisfied with their holiday decorations until you move. And even if you do, you'll be talked about to the next generation making it crazy boss level achievement to top you up!
with all the epic stuff that was going on throughout that, I nearly missed the pumpkins singing to the ray parker song in the bottom right.. I would travel from the UK to wherever just to watch this even once, it's that epic..
@@CGGC0202 i use an Epson L series commercial projector. It is super bright in both color and white lumens, so it really pops in color. The resolution of the video was done in 4K to make it super clear as well . So these factors contributed in the output you see.

Believe me, if you were that close to a house fire, you'd know if it was fake or not. If a house that size really was on that much fire, you'd know it as it's incredibly HOT even from the street! I've been to a couple of real house fires, and I can tell you the heat gets really intense! Not only is the heat intense, the smell is noxious with all the synthetic items burning. Rugs, curtains, wiring, plumbing, furniture... it's not a pleasant smell. And on top of that, the sound of the flames roaring, snapping and crackling. A real house fire is quite a horrific thing to witness.
Man, how dark is your surrounding area, lol. Is it that you are in the middle of nowhere or asked everyone including the city to shut off all the lights :). This is so well done and each of your projections vids get progressively better. I have major appreciation for your skills.
When you just know your neighbor goes off for holidays. The whole neighborhood just sits in darkness for literally 10 months until they here that theme song.
I'm very skeptical this is a real recording of projected video. There's certain things that stand out, the darkness being one of them, that point to me compared to every other actual projected video. Also, according to the maker of the video, 100s of people watch this. yet, there is not one picture, or video, of an audience. There's not one video of someone posting THEIR video of it and you know they would be. So I think other than the fairly obvious visual queues that this is not actual projection, this also seems EXTREMELY odd. I could be wrong, maybe I am, but I don't think so. There's things (like the lighting issue) that stand out that make perfect sense for someone who's rendered this in some kind of modeling software, but not actually projected it onto the actual house.
@@rimfire2642 this is down the street from me and i went to watch it yesterday, even cooler in person! it for sure is real! there's projectors around the house and the people watch from their cars or on the side walk. also it's actually a pretty populated area (southern cali) the lighting is so good because the projectors are so powerful.( i think)

@@michaelosullivan4989 Sure, if you hire a company to do it for you for a large building or something. But you can do it yourself, on a smaller scale, all you need is a computer, some software and you can buy a projector for under $1000!
It's very simple, you map your house and incorporate it for a projector. You can pay people to do it if you don't know how by sending a photo of your house as well. It's a simple light show.
This is awesome. I'm a big Ghostbusters fan as well as my son. Ghostbusters 1 and 2 that is. I just showed this to him and he loved it. When I was 9 years old I was a Ghostbuster for Halloween. Coincidentally my son is now 9 and he's going to be Stay Puft for Halloween and I'm going to dress up as a Ghostbuster again. We're both pretty excited for Ghostbusters Afterlife. Thanks for this video. Really enjoyed it and I'm sure my son will ask to watch it many more times.

That is awsome it would be cool to see a behind the scenes of how it works. I'd like to do something simple some year and have seen ads for projector systems online but not sure if they work.
Just one projector was able to cover the entire house for this show. I do use more than one for some other in person aspects of my show, but for the main whole home mapping, just one.
That is incredible, it’s hard enough to get all of those images to project on a flat screen but to get them to line-up with the contours of the house……POW, Mind blown…..Nice Work, I’m impressed.
You forgot to include Pepper's ghost! :) Honestly, as someone who works in photography and edits video, all I could think about is the hundreds (?) of hours of rotoscoping that went into this, and the dozens (?) of times that you had to adjust things that didn't quite fit correctly onto the projection. So brilliant.

This is such a huge step-up from the usual snowflake projections...❄️. The FX are so epic and realistic that I'll bet the fire department was called a few times by freaked-out neighbors and passerby. 😄🔥🚒
@@markwilson8985 yes, projection mapping is video mapping through projection. Some of the content I created ir modified. Some also came from others (see tags). I also took rotoscopes from the movies.

@@justincoleman3805 The bits from the movies that we saw felt hilarious, especially the dialogue. The pumpkins singing along with the Ghosbusters song made me laugh, too. I kind of needed a good laugh when I saw this.

@@michaelosullivan4989 Sure, if you hire a company to do it for you for a large building or something. But you can do it yourself, on a smaller scale, all you need is a computer, some software and you can buy a projector for under $1000!

It's very simple, you map your house and incorporate it for a projector. You can pay people to do it if you don't know how by sending a photo of your house as well. It's a simple light show.

This is awesome. I'm a big Ghostbusters fan as well as my son. Ghostbusters 1 and 2 that is. I just showed this to him and he loved it. When I was 9 years old I was a Ghostbuster for Halloween. Coincidentally my son is now 9 and he's going to be Stay Puft for Halloween and I'm going to dress up as a Ghostbuster again. We're both pretty excited for Ghostbusters Afterlife. Thanks for this video. Really enjoyed it and I'm sure my son will ask to watch it many more times.

Just one projector was able to cover the entire house for this show. I do use more than one for some other in person aspects of my show, but for the main whole home mapping, just one.
That is incredible, it’s hard enough to get all of those images to project on a flat screen but to get them to line-up with the contours of the house……POW, Mind blown…..Nice Work, I’m impressed.

Honestly, as someone who works in photography and edits video, all I could think about is the hundreds (?) of hours of rotoscoping that went into this, and the dozens (?) of times that you had to adjust things that didn't quite fit correctly onto the projection.
So brilliant.
Thanks! Rotoscope v2 made the rotoscoping less painful, but still painful. Definitely takes alot of effort.
Well, you just outdid "Thriller". Honestly, didn't think it possible, but here we are. (IMHO).

@@markwilson8985 yes, projection mapping is video mapping through projection. Some of the content I created ir modified. Some also came from others (see tags). I also took rotoscopes from the movies.
