i tried your flower toturial n I must say I was impress on how easy it was, I wanted to do something different for cancer awareness and I am so happy I stumble across your video I subscribe to it...thank you
WOW WOW WOW !!!! REally ?? That is awesome, so proud of you ! Don't worry about the 9 petals, my first attempt was a hat many years ago... lets just say you would have to have a head the size of and orange and well.... lets not go there hahahahaha thankyou for watching and be careful crochet is addictive :D
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am completing my first-big-customer-order. She likes flowers and asked me to make a water gallon cover with flowers...And these are the perfect ones for this project! The other things she asked me for are round-chair covers, they are completed, and a big, round tablecloth, still in process... I hope I can finish that soon! :)
I agree WOW WOW WOW, just made my first ever flower, glad to see others only got 9 petals on back, thought it was just me at first. My grand daughter Ally will just love this, she saw your video yesterday and asked me how long it would be until I could make her one?? She is going to her first ever 'fashion show' tomorrow night and I will attach this to a head band for her - she is only 7yrs old. How amazing, cant believe I've done it.will post pic if I can work out how??

just made my first flower. Ended up with 8 outer petals instead of 10 but still looks really good and I think I know where I've gone wrong so back to the drawing board. LOVE your tutorials. x
I love this flower too I made so many of these since I came across your tutorial. My friend she just had a baby girl and I made headbands and hat and all have one of this flower. Love it thank you so so much.
Hi, yes I think it would be possible, I think with out actually doing it my self, that you will need to do another row of increases in each stitch into the vacant loop from the last round, then make a row of petals You need the row of increases to make extra stitches for the petals but also to make the petals stick out further than the last round I hope this helps, if it does work out let me know :)
Instead of chaining and joining in the beginning I use the magic ring, I just prefer doing it...love this flower pattern, so cute🌷 I also leave a long tail at the end for attaching to other things..it just depends what you plan to do with this super cute 🌼 flower...
I have been reinventing myself by watching your amazing videos and loving it. Thank you so much for sharing it with so much detail and pacience. God bless
Thanks for the great tutorial! I was able to complete the flower without needing to go back and watch the video a lot. This was due to how well you demonstrated technique.
Woo!! that second rnd was a doozi!!! hard time finding my 10 sts for increases. but i did find them. my flower came out beautiful. will try and post/workin on charity. finish product comin soon!! Thans for the TUT!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I've been wanting to learn how to make flowers for quite some time and these are lovely. Your tutorials are so helpful and easy to follow along. :)
I have been looking for a tutorial for these flowers for months! (I have found others, but they were extremely complicated.) Thank you so much for the great instructions!
I have found if you use a magic ring to start, you can make it loose enough to make all your stitches, and when finished just pull the end tight to close middle.
Thank you Clare ... I've never (ever) picked up a crochet hook in my life ... just had some yarn delivered (definately think I've over-ordered :D) ... managed to crochet this flower as my first ever piece (well chuffed) ... although I only appear to have 9 petals at the back ... still looks cute though
So I used to call this yarning cause my kids would ask " wheres mom?" And my hubby would say shes yarning somewhere..but when I found you over a year ago I loved the way you taught and the way you pronounced crochet..now its wheres mom? And he says shes somewhere doing that crosha..hahaha. love your tutorials!
I sure enjoy your accent and that you actually show that we all make a few mistakes once and awhile. I like this Lela's flower, but would be better if I could find the written pattern.
This is such a great pattern. I just made this and somehow I ended up with only 9 petals on the back. It still looks great. Will definitely be making more of these :-)
i will thank you again you explain so well ,,i am new and made your not so square granny squares, they turned out great,so keep those great ideas coming
Hi again, When I asked you for the US measurement, I guess I didn't explain my self & was referring to the hook sizes. Or are they different sizes ? I found a conversion chart for US/ & metric sizes for the crochet hook differences that I printed out. Example: a 4mm hook is our size G hook. Love your patterns and your patience doing the videos, Thanks!
I was wondering if you know how to crochet a owl. Maybe you could do a tutorial on it. I like owls and would love to make a pillow or something cute with a owls shape. Thank you! :o)
