Cancelled four yrs ago, it felt soo good. Continue getting letters from them, they go straight back to sender - no other problems. Thank you for all you do, always great content. May God continue to bless yo and your family.
There is a smoke screen for staff in the BBC, just look at the statue on the front of the building, statement of intent in plain sight. Ofcom is also at fault.
Wow, just looked at the statue, totally perverse. The sculptor Gill himself was a peadophile, he claimed the statue was a depiction of God and Jesus which makes it even more perverse. You are right, "in plain sight."
@@David_Bizley It is amazing how many people are not aware of this, and so many childrens programmes, even in the past had a S** element to them. Going way back to Andy Pandy and Muffin the Mule. It is an open secret in the Media industry and you will not get any work if you spill the beans.
Haven't watched Live TV since 2012 as I got fed up with the programming. The overwhelming swing to offering reality TV and voting programs turned me off. A real dumbing down of the masses. It's all bread and circuses.
Why are you lemons still paying the tv licence fee. If you just watch netflix or UA-cam you dont need to pay. Cancel your tv licence today. Defund the bbc.
Agree 100%......put all your money into other platforms to avoid watching their ads..IF they have that option of course. Tbf thats the ONLY reason i like the Beeb....they never have ads.....and as i say....not all streaming services have the option to pay to remove ads....which sucks
I cancelled mine in 2016 after the bbc's sneering coverage of the Brexit celebrations, that labelled myself and 17 million others who voted to leave the despotic EU, as " knuckle dragging racists " . I am still receiving threatening letters from them, which i immediately file in the bin and I have no intention of ever giving them a penny of my money in the forseeable future. I am fervently praying that not only will the tv licence be abolished but that the corporation itself sinks without a trace. That would worth a national celebration.
David, I haven't watched a BBC programme in about 15 years, either. There's nothing on there that I'd want to watch - it's total rubbish. I now only look at BBC News website. However, I've chosen to keep my licence, for now, so that I can be an on-line activist in making complaints about their bias. I've made about half-a-dozen complaints to them this year about their bias in the use of those generic "Getty" images that they attach to various articles. These pictures are usually very "diverse" to ensure that ethnic minorities are well represented; even, as you say, over-represented in statistical terms according to the demographics. However, where the article reflects negative human behaviours, such as, say, the latest crime figures, or a story on stalking, then the generic image is ALWAYS of a white person (for example, someone in a shop slipping something under their coat). This is nine articles out of nine that I've seen this year. The BBC say I'm being "selective", or that the sample is too small, and that they are always unbiased in their choice of images. BS.
@@tonyanderton3521 I salute you Sir, your reason for having a license is totally VALID and I can only stand up and applaud your activism in this regard.👏👏👏
It's an odd thing but I've never paid for a TV Licence in my adult life. I listen to a lot of radio and use BBC Sounds which are not charged for. I predict that at some stage the BBC may charge for BBC sounds. BBC programmes can be watched on other catch up services UK TV being a good example which is owned by the BBC and broadcasts with adverts. I find it crazy to be tied to when a broadcaster decides to show a programme. I'm sure the BBC will find a way to fund after 2027 but lets hope its not a media tax. I am not anti BBC but I'm not a full supporter of it or its funding methods and its methods via TVL for enforcing this outdated revenue source.
Likewise, 4 years now ..... What you read about them on social media outlets makes your Stomach Churn .... God knows what it must be like watching it daily 😎
I agree with the ethos of the video but I have to say it is no better on other mainstream media. Personally I get my news information from GB news and other independent outlets, some can be seen on UA-cam!
I've tried to get a refund for the tv licence I've already paid, but when you fill in the form on line they want you to tick boxes that you will let someone into your home to check if you have a tv, They try to get you anyway they can, I don't like the idea of ticking a box to say I will let them into my home, so I still have had no refund, So I'm going to write to them, because this scandalous!!
Yes a letter in that situation is the better option because at least then there is a written record of your decision. Also would advise to keep a copy and send the letter by signed registered post. At the end of the day you may lose the refund, but at least once your letter is sent and your intention stated you can cancel any renewal.
You put forward some very valid points for defunding the BBC, emphasizing the political/cultural skewed bias of the organisation, in terms of it's reporting and outlook. Take for example, the horrific case of those Asian men jailed for long sentences for grooming and raping juvenile children. Tens of thousands of UK children have suffered such appalling crimes against them, systematically abused by such grooming gangs in what is one of the worst instances of non authority action, and indeed collusion, in British history due to racial sensitivities. Yet the BBC as the national broadcaster seemed fit to absent itself from, downplay and non-report the harrowing personal victim statements at the court at sentencing. It had a responsibility to do so, to illuminate the seriousness and appalling nature of this national crime, and it's effect on children's personal lives. That says everything about the BBC, and its prejudiced agenda. Losing 500k TV license payers a year, due to cancellations, one wonders how long the BBC's credibility as the national broadcaster can continue, when many other alternative news and entertainment sources exist and used by former BBC audiences.
Not sure how I cancel my licence, I need to notify them before cancelling my direct debit?? Thank you for talking about the left wing BBC. Margaret Thatcher accused them of their prediction and how many years was that?
No just cancel your direct debit, and when or if they contact you, just tell them you no longer need one. You don't even have to explain why, and if you get a visit, deny them access to your home and close the door. Or just don't open the door like me 😊
Cancelled 5 years ago we are both over 75 years old now and do no have one regret ,starmer stoped our winter fuel why not cancel your bbc licence and save £169.50 its a bit back
@David_Bizley you're correct that there really isn't anything to miss. I left them after they strong-armed me to pay, I found their corespondence threatening, so I gave in. At a time I had nothing, they forced blood from my stone. Once I realised I didn't need a licence and could live happily without, I never paid a penny more. They have tried but I know I don't require one anymore, and as a bonus, I don't have government propaganda force fed to me. Win win.
I watch the BBC all the time on the iPlayer and I've never bought a licence in my life!! when it asks if I have a licence! I just click "Yes I have a Licence" ha-ha, I think they make it really difficult to actually get a licence!! I mean you have to google it then go to the website fill in the forms and details Etc. Etc.. Etc... then you actually need to fill in your CC details and pin number and pay then check your statement, and that's if your bank doesn't phone you laughing at you saying there is suspicious activity on your account LOL or just click "Yes I have a Licence" BBC crime stoppers should look into it!!
Those who complain about the BBC being biased are generally upset that it’s not biased in favour of their own political views. That’s the problem with being unbiased: everyone thinks you’re biased against them!
