GripEQ AX5 Gripes

The GripEQ AX5 is an incredible bag! There’s no doubting that. As my first quality bag, I was impressed. But there are just some little things that keep it from being great. Yes they’re small things, but they were just enough to bug me while out on the course.
These little gripes don’t really outweigh the pros of this bag.

Man, for me you hit the nail on the head with #1 and #3 gripes. It took me a year to train myself to go to the outer zipper for the side storage. You said it perfectly, these two zipper need to be flopped around. Also, that too pocket is VERY hard to access. I now store my scramble disc in that pocket, since I have a bx3 (same issues). My biggest complaint that apparently hasn’t gotten you is the adjustable putter pocket. The way the draw cord is attached has now starting making my putters slip through the side into the main compartment! They need to sew that pocket down the sides so this doesn’t happen. Anyway, great points, thanks for the video. I’m considering going to an AX5 and stumbled on your review. Thanks!

I just got one of these from my friend for $30 :) so I have zero complaints! I actually put a key ring/extra tab on the zipper for the pocket to make it easier to use and tell them apart

That’s a smoking deal! I would have no complaints for that price. For their price there are decent alternatives.

Just have my AX5 for a week. I like the bag but I have to agree with the issues you mention, allthough the back padding pocket is no issue for me, I just put tiny stuff there. I agree the most with those zippers on the side - not intuitive at all. I also put a scramble disc in that flap above the main disc compartment, and I just tried: it does make it harder to pull discs out. Nice review
