Out of all the isekai anime I have watched, this is truly one of them. It has characters, a plot, and music. It is one of the anime ever made of all time.
Yeah just like "I'm in a another world with my smartphone" full of deep characters and good story and most of all plot

Watched this show maybe 5 or 6 times since release and every time it's still just as soothing as the first time. Always still saddened by how quickly the show's over though. Amazing how it never fails to bring peace of mind and how time just seems to disappear when watching it.
I watch alot of anime... but for some reason I keep coming back to re-watch this. It's an easy-breezy fantasy travelogue that doesn't over-emote nor take itself too seriously. I really wish there would be a season 2, but I know that's not in the cards.
This was a great series. Really need more of it. The opening episode with the meteor storm part and how the loot/titles were all caught, was just brilliant.
I just want season 2 to be out.....
Slightly Disappointed, that this isn't about Season 2.
But I liked the Anime.
Also: I highly recommend Gate, with a Gate appearing in Japan and Fantasy-Soldiers, Monsters and even Dragon-Riders attacking the City, and the JSDF fighting back.

I keep saying it: Death March Rhapsody and Smartphone both ended where the story was going to start taking off. If they had shown Satou's party entering Muno Barony, if they had shown Touya putting down a coup, the season 2s would have come sooner.

Oh I really like this show as it is another of one of my favourite Isakai anime shows besides my number one personal favourite Arifureta.
I really enjoyed the web novel so much more detail and a different vibe than the show. It gets CRAZY AF later in the story, this guy gets super OP and he makes everyone else with him super OP. Like taking on Gods OP. I really REALLY want to see the rest animated.

Dont all isekais follow the same progression tho? gets isekai > becomes op > gets harem > goes agaisnt gods > becomes even more op
@@TheliMagnus no. There are a few isekai that don't follow that progression at all
El Hazard, Escaflowne, Those who hunt Elves, Record of Wortenia War, New Life+ (this got canceled due to inane twitter drama, so I can't say it wouldn't have turned out like the way you describe), Konosuba, ReZero, Killing 300 Slimes, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Saints power is omnipotent, Black Healer. To name a few.

This isekai is one of the most isekai-est anime you can watch.
I completely forgot about this anime. I remember liking it a couple of years ago but was sad because there was no season 2
I enjoyed this anime and started my LN collection with this one, How not to summon a demon lord, and Arifureta from common place to world strongest. I've enjoyed all three and many more.

I really liked this Anime. It was (mostly) lighthearted and not half as Edgy as some other Isekais i could mention. The MC doesnt take himself that serious and mostly wants to have a nice trip. Is it deep? Nope, but it doesnt have to be and lets be honest most Isekai that try to be deep fail spectacular at it.
this is one of my favorite animes... still waiting for season two...
the ending was a kind of a let down but the beginning was legit. I just wish he was more aggressive

I actually found I loved the wn. The light novel was much better in how it was edited but I found the story had better pacing and was generally better than the LN.

This show is fun to watch, but there is a strange like foggy filter over it, or the saturation was pumped up to much. That makes the colours so washed out at times, that it becomes distracting.

This is a great novel that doesn't translate to anime at all lol. I watched this a few years ago and after like 2 episodes started reading the novel and never ended up finishing the anime. Reading the whole WN was a real experience, though.
