@Astred Actually, it was the "Richardson Adventist School". We sang this song, along with other Adventist schools in the region, at the Meyerson.

I've been an alto 2 my entire high school career, and suddenly my director switched me to soprano 1 and this is the song we are singing. It's beautiful, but damn my alto voice-

We sang this way back in 7th grade and it is still my favorite choir song to date. It was an absolute game changer for us. We practiced the song so much me and my friends still have the parts memorized as seniors in high school.
Mezzo soprano here basically singing wherever has the lead, so jumping from soprano line to tenor as needs fit.

@@issa3789 aww thanks! It atchually already happend. This was an ok song we did. We all did our best tho!! The real UIL is coming after next week during school. We all try on this song the most because it is a favorite we all have compared to the other's we are doing. Plus sight reading being caught to lol. :)

You are correct… some sing it more joyfully, but it is a prayer from the Book of Job. If you read it, you will see why the sorrowful mood. It is hope and sorrow. A mustard seed of hope for peace.
