Recorded "virtual sound check" is key to sound practice. Any new team member should use this for hours and mess up numerous times to know where the boundaries are.
Always love your videos and podcasts, so much good in this one. Regarding feedback, can it be a loud or badly placed floor monitor, will pulling front of house solve it?
Thanks, Emmanuel! If time weren't a limited resource, I definitely still be doing piano tutorials. Who knows, maybe I'll pick them back up again someday. :)
@@collabworship Thanks. Many tutorials teach chords but you have a different flavour because you bring out the real sounds of the song by playing the right combination of notes and not just chords. Your music hearing is deeper.
Been thinking about signing up for your course. I’ve been doing sound for 10 years with no formal training but feel like I could use a little refresher. (I tried to send a message on the website, wouldn’t work) With your course, is it better to have the X32 in front of me for hands on learning or is it just like your videos here on UA-cam, with the examples and cheat sheets etc.?
The course videos are similar to UA-cam, but more in-depth and with more examples. And yes, lots and lots of cheat sheets. So, you don't need the mixer right in front of you. You can watch the videos, download the cheat sheets and practice next time you're at the mixer. You can even pull up the course videos on your phone for a quick refresher.
Thank you guys for this episode! We just installed x32 Behringer Im transitioning from twenty years of analog to digital. Lots to learn!
It's a painful transition! But worth it in the end.
Glad you guys had screw-up times as well, makes me feel better about my own opps times. Thanks for the lessons, it will go far in my gigs.
Awesome. Thank Bert!

Great tip, John. Thank you!

If it's a monitor issue, better to start by EQing the feedback frequency out of the monitor first, and then out of the main if needed.
Thanks for your videos
Thanks Jon!
Your piano skills are awesome.
I don't know why you stopped them 5 years ago.
