I deal with horrible depression. Whenever im feeling sad, i put on a carpetbagger video and instantly feel better. Thank you, Jacob for always making me feel better ❤
JACCOB is a dear freind I was actually on the show 2 times and our friendship grew .later when I was dying of Covid in ICU last year. I wacthed and it snaped me out of my depression. He also texted me 2 times a week to see how I was.. he is a great guy you hang in there.
Hi Jacob - Beaches in New Jersey (except Wildwood) are either private or pay-to-enter during the daytime in the summer. The entry fee pays for lifeguards, daily summer maintenance and winter protection like snow fences. The security at Jenkinson's is because they've been having problems with groups of rowdy beachgoers this year. Welcome to New Jersey where nothing is free and everything is dangerous!
That funhouse looks great! BTW, the quickest way to get through a mirror maze is to look at the floor and follow the wear marks. And Pendolo is generically known as a Frisbee ride.
The only free beach in NJ is Atlantic City, you always either need a beach "tag" that you wear on your bag (that you buy) or you pay at the toll booth. That's NJ for ya.
Hey Jacob, I’ve been watching your videos for around five years, your channel is amazing and so fun to watch, you really know how to make a video worth watching.
So I am all twacked out over the mirror maze footage lol DIdnt know that was something I would find anxiety producing especially since I am in my living room lol
I used to live in Jersey, the beaches from Sandy Hook to Cape May they always had a fee to go on the Jersey Beaches. As far as I know Jersey beaches are the only beaches that charge a fee. Plus summer passes are extremely expensive also.
Have you heard of the little amusement park in Keansburg, NJ.? You're about half an hour away from it in Point Pleasant. Keansburg used to have one of the finest tricky track funhouses in the country but that got destroyed in hurricane Sandy. Now it has a small walk-through haunted house. Some of the children's rides are over 50 years old and still running (though I'd make sure I had a tetanus shot before riding). It's definitely worth a walk through.
It's funny to see Jacob go to a place I'm so familiar with as someone who doesn't do a lot of extensive travel. We used to come here every summer before I was ten. I'm sure there have been some changes since. I've still never been inside the fun house though there was one ride I loved as a kid where you'd sit in a fish and ride in circles above water. Now I have a hankering to go back---fortunately it's only a 90 minute drive from home. Time to plan a trip!
It's crazy. I used to go to jenkinson's aquarium all the time when I was a kid. Love the place. I never been in the fun house, but with the footage you're now showing it's impressive. I never been in it and I mean never and it's crazy. The area was hit hard during hurricane Sandy
Sometimes those glass boxes in the funhouse can be annoying rather than fun. But I learned to not look forward, as it is more confusing. So, look down where you are walking and usually you can see where the glass comes to the floor and where it does not. It's a great clue. Also, sometimes you will see footsteps. Wow you won at the grab game. I have never seen anyone, including myself, win. Thanks for sharing.
In my experience, many East coast beaches charge for admission. It is for upkeep of the beach and lifeguards. When I lived there, on Long Beach, NY, residents could get a summer pass.
Seeing this again as Pt. Pleasant (surely changed from when I was there last) as I spent my summers at the beach there in my 20's and 30's. In my day you bought a full summer badge that you didn't need to get one each time you went. More economical for sure.
Loved the Fun House. Sometimes you can navigate a mirror maze by looking at the worn path on the floor. The Hall of Farts was funny, little kids especially would love it.
That sure is a nice boardwalk, guarantees a day full of fun with the kids: Ocean, beach, funhouse, educative and fun aquarium, and lots of arcade activities. I'll pay more attention to your older and coming up new boardwalk vlogs, to see the differences and get some idea on which ones i would like to visit. Good gripping at the claw machine Jacob! There is a trick, but i never found out what it is. A friend of my son knows, he gets what he aims for all the time in any arcade!
Thank you for this tour of Pt. Pleasant! Definitely check out the boardwalks at Seaside Heights and Wildwood, New Jersey. I would love a “Down the Shore” series.
Hello Jacob I remember years ago on beach holidays with my ex husband there were some beaches that charged a fee for the umbrella and sun loungers. Not every beach we went to was like that but some are. Great video by the way and every time I see you doing beach videos I get a craving for jetting off ✈️☀️🌊 thanks again and best wishes ❤️
I worked at Cedar Point Sandusky Ohio in the latter 70’s, Cedar Fair is a subsidiary of the original Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio . Worked in a coney stand on the other side of the beach fence in the park. Even back then, general admission was not allowed on the beach free. Mostly the Hotel patrons of the Breakers Cedar Point Hotel used the beach. I think there was paid admission though. Beach was immaculate for a Lake Erie beach. Love that beach! ❤️
I have heard of beaches charging for umbrellas etc but never to get on the beach itself. Interesting fun house but that 1st set of mirrors might have done me in. Lots of cool rides . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
I've lived in New Jersey my whole 30 years and we've always had to pay admission for the beach, sadly. only place I've never paid was wildwood! always free beaches there.
I love point pleasant its my summer destination. I remember when my Son went in that fun house. The boardwalk and aquarium and rides are awesome and staying out there is nice too
Looks like they updated it from the last time I've been there, which was a while ago. The skeleton house used to be a jungle room. With rainforest animal wallpaper and an animatronic gorilla jumpscare. And the pirate room was forest themed.
Thanks for going to Pt Pleasant Jenkinson's Boardwalk. I used to go there everyone summer as a kind and younger adult with family. It sure has changed with many carnival type rides. The aquarium has been there a long time. SUGGESTION - ASBURY PARK USED TO BE THE PLACE TO GO BUT THEN FELL ON HARD TIMES. HOPEFULLY IT MAY HAVE BEEN A COMEBACK. ALSO SEASIDE HEIGHTS IS A GOOD BOARDWALK IN NJ.
I'm from New Jersey where you always have to pay for beach "access." I now live in Florida where all beaches for the most part are public and free. I truly don't know why it is that way, but I'm sure it makes them a lot of revenue.
Great! I grew up within an hour of Pt. Pleasant. I miss the days in high school and college breaks where we could just drive down for an evening of fun. LOVED the aquarium... A little further drive for me was Seaside Heights boardwalk, and a bit further still was Wildwood Crest. I think we always had to pay for beach admission...??
I deal with horrible depression. Whenever im feeling sad, i put on a carpetbagger video and instantly feel better. Thank you, Jacob for always making me feel better ❤

Me too!
The hall of butts instantaneously reverted me to eight years old, laughing my fool head off.
I thought they might find the Carpetbagger's skeleton in the mirror maze for a while but I'm glad he finally made it through.

Jacob going through the mirror maze is me trying to navigate life.
Calm down
Lol same
Congratulations 👏🎉 You finally won at the claw machine!!! I am so thrilled for you!!!!! Wonderful video n extra wonderful day!!!!
You should call this series "Down the Shore." Loving it!
A Renaissance fair series would be awesome!
That funhouse looks great! BTW, the quickest way to get through a mirror maze is to look at the floor and follow the wear marks. And Pendolo is generically known as a Frisbee ride.
I love seeing all these places I may never get to visit but can still enjoy them through your videos. Hope to see Jen again soon. She’s so much fun!
I am so very excited that you won that giraffe, I was holding my breath for you...YAY!!!
You're the man, gas up!

Omg congratulations on the giraffe!!!
Asbury Park has the Silverball Museum which is a pinball arcade which has games from the turn of the century through today.
So I am all twacked out over the mirror maze footage lol DIdnt know that was something I would find anxiety producing especially since I am in my living room lol
That was an amazing fun house

Watching you navigate the Hall of mirrors was one of the best things ever. That duck is terrifying.

The train conductor was thrilled to be at work.. 😂

point pleasant! spent every summer of my childhood there
Jacob in a mirror maze is the highlight of my day!!
I want to go through the hall of butts with my wheelchair 😂😂
This is so nostalgic for me! I grew up going there! I miss it so much! Thank you for this and the Great Adventure video!!!! 😍😍😍😍
The shady quotes on the mirror though 😭😂🤣😩🤦🏽♀️💯
That possum gets me every time!🤣
Jacob, cool aquarium
I hope Jenn enjoys the giraffe 🦒☺ plush.
love how Float On by modest mouse is playing in the begining i've heard a few theme parks play it over the years lol
Omg the arses in the floor, had me dying laughing. Apparently I'm a 40 yr old, 5 yr old. Great video Jake.
I'm Glad You Finally Won Something Carpetbagger & That Hall Of Farts 💨 Was Wild TFS!!!👍😊

Got my two more new pins! No scares and the possum! Love them. 💛💚❤️
Always enjoy your travels. Thanks for taking us along again. Can't wait to see your next experience. Thanks again.
That funhouse terrified me as a kid. I used to hold my friend's hand and close my eyes.
The Hall of Farts was hilarious
love all the videos.... my wife and i use to run HauntFreaks many years ago...
What a wonderful vintage amusement park of my youth. Loved it.
Kudos to you Jacob for making it through the mirror 🪞 maze!!! I'd have had a panic attack. 😆
25:45 best part of the whole video! 🦒Well done Jacob and seeing you win this made my day ☀️
I am a huge fan of yours and I really love your airplane joke
The laughing in the funhouse reminded me of the Are You Afraid of the Dark episode “Laughing in the Dark”
i never went to the broadwalk before but my cousins lived in new jersey and i visit them.
Me and my wife love your video hope you come to the state fair in Raleigh this year
In my experience, many East coast beaches charge for admission. It is for upkeep of the beach and lifeguards. When I lived there, on Long Beach, NY, residents could get a summer pass.
I'd also get lost in that mirror maze at first like you lol. I'm easily disoriented
I used to go to that Funhouse all the time as a kid. It's awesome you made it up here!!
Remember going there as a kid. Crazy the front still looks the same
Seeing this again as Pt. Pleasant (surely changed from when I was there last) as I spent my summers at the beach there in my 20's and 30's. In my day you bought a full summer badge that you didn't need to get one each time you went. More economical for sure.
13:05 Jacob, Laughing Sal is already a nightmare, this is just ultra nightmare.
Loved those penguins. How sweet!

That funhouse is my childhood!! So awesome to see you there!! 🤗🤗🤗
Also the last room used to be really dark with a big slide! A lot cooler as far as I remember. I’m assuming they changed it just for safely 🥴😁😁
Glad you are enjoying yourself!!😊

That looks epic! Another great video from the Carpetbagger! Also, the seal with the cone on his head swimming around reminds me of me 😂
Highway robbery=Charging admission to enter a beach..imo 😂
Probably my favorite place in NJ! I've been to the funhouse, aquarium, etc. dozens of times.
I would love to see you at The Mission Beach Boardwalk in San Diego!!! They have a hundred year old wooden roller coaster there!
I have heard of beaches charging for umbrellas etc but never to get on the beach itself. Interesting fun house but that 1st set of mirrors might have done me in. Lots of cool rides . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
They charge to pay the lifeguards here in NJ
Jacob that was my vacation away from everything. I lived in New Jersey for 32 years. House of mirrors.. look on the floor ( arrows).
Hi Jacob. Another great vlog.. Super fun. XX
Love touring with you .thanks for the virtual tour guide
I have been to Jenkinsons alot, But I Only Went In The Fun House Once!
What a terrifying ‘fun house’ 😳 It wouldn’t take much to adapt that for Halloween
Looks like a great funhouse.
It was weird but fun.
My neck of the woods!! Hope you enjoyed the Jersey Shore!!! 😎
That swing ride harkens back to the carnivals of yesteryear. Gorgeous!
I've lived in New Jersey my whole 30 years and we've always had to pay admission for the beach, sadly. only place I've never paid was wildwood! always free beaches there.
Awesome Work Bro, Thanks 👍👍👍😀 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸

Aw shit man i was working a shift there the day you filmed this
Your not that far from me!! How exciting hope u enjoy New Jersey,!!!
Looks like they updated it from the last time I've been there, which was a while ago. The skeleton house used to be a jungle room. With rainforest animal wallpaper and an animatronic gorilla jumpscare. And the pirate room was forest themed.
Go here all the time and never been in the fun house. Enjoy NJ!
That's an awesome fun house!
Excellent video. The fun house was crazy 🤪.

Asbury is BOOMING. Complete 180 from back in the day.
Have some Springsteen music in the background.
You should also come to Coney Island again. Ride the new Phoenix family rollercoaster and wonderwheel
I was here just a week ago! I love it here! So much I'm applying to jobs in point pleasant NJ In hopes to relocate ❤ awesome vid

Thanks for another great video!
I do remember seeing Jenks on the Jersey Shore show! looks the same to me...lol
Seaside Heights has a great boardwalk!
Weird about paying to go to the beach. Another great one Jacob!! Yay you Won!!
I'm from New Jersey where you always have to pay for beach "access." I now live in Florida where all beaches for the most part are public and free. I truly don't know why it is that way, but I'm sure it makes them a lot of revenue.
Hall of Farts is killing me.🤣💀
It's admission for the beach because the beach is privately owned by Jenkinsons, not the town. That's literally a few blocks from my home.
Congratulations Jacob huge win 🦒🦒🦒
Welcome to New Jersey where nothing is free!!
