Along with your vid of truck 233 this is the other one of your finds I've re-watched about a bazillion times now. There's a nice mix of dumpsters and hand loaded resi which seems like it would make for a fun route to run; bust ass slinging bags and cans interspaced then catch your breath at the occasional 10yd. This truck has the right look to it, big bodied rear loaders on conventional cab chassis are where it's at. But even being so long maneuverability doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Especially liked watching the driver squeeze into that driveway and maneuver up to the second dumpster. Awesome great super dooper vid Nick. :)
that has to be just an okd BFI dumpster that was never picked up after they were bought out or am i wrong can anyone tell me if BFI is still relevant anywhere else or were they bought out nationwide? if so did capitol waster buy them out in this area?
the first pick up clip, those dumpsters and style seem so ancient and not as efficient as the front loaders for dumpsters. several minutes here, but a front end truck is done in 30 sec
I think the benefit of using a rear loader is that commercial containers can be collected with the same truck as residential waste, so if it's an area without a lot of commercial containers, it makes more sense to not have two separate fleets of trucks.
What happened at 24:00 ? They were about to pick up a load of sticks, trash, and easy chairs, and then you cut that out. Or did they change their minds and not pick it up? And what about the florescent tubes at their last stop? Did they leave them there? Cool catch with the train at the end too.
why are the lights flashing like that aren't they supposed to be going in a X form or in a vertical parallel form instead of them flashing like that on the rear of the garbage truck?
Pick up resi trash in front end loader all day then & tell me its faster try getting out of it every stop by yourself & throw the trash into the top of the truck 😂 everyones a trash guy
i use to do this here in NZ in early 1980s when i was 17 to 25yrs old i loved it doing up to 12yrd bins
I really like those types of skip dumpsters that's like those red skip dumpsters :-)
That thumbnail was certainly an eye catcher haha awesome work, these GU813s are some nice looking trucks

Our rearend loaders have can tippers on them we seldom use them because we have sideloaders that pick up the big cans.
That old BFI dumpster was finished 😂 great vid!
It had been replaced since this filming.
Billy Butler’s old truck. This was when men were men. No tippers, just a pig of a truck that could hold 23 tons.
I think I walked down this exact route with you.
you most certainly did i film in this area of waltham
+MetroBoston Trash Trucks I remember that very BFI dumpster and the Armenian swamper guy.
trashmonster26 yeah that BFI dumpster is gone now
trashmonster26 .
LOLLLKIg

BFI was bought out by Allied in 1999 which then they recently were bought out by and merged with Republic in 2008
23:53 mack mru heil durapack half front loader WM garbage truck :D
hey bro some chick by the name of bianca bellario stole this video for her channel i want to let you know
First container looks like a boat. ..then the designer changed his mind and turned it to container

Residential trash not commercial

I bet ya he went to film the WM truck that passed
@@ct_refuse cut the tape for a cashie
I'm surprised I have not seen a single truck with a kickbar
+John Blessing what do you mean ?
+Nicholas sordillo I mean that most of your videos of the trucks that you film don't have the kickbars for two yds
That's a common practice in Chicago but Boston just uses winches.
+Nicholas sordillo Gotcha
Why the BFI container being emptied
+gt70ford margalski old contract dumpster that never got picked up after the contract ended.
@@MrNic6999 cant rent from company that exist anymore
how much weight are you putting on that when full?
steven joy it depends
Depends on whos shakin & if they know how to squeeze
I put 23 on that in Roxbury, wet.

big question here? where are the flippers on the back of that truck. lifting 90gal cans like that is how you blow out your back.
That truck is an older model, it doesn't have them.
This was when men were men. We did this all day every day with no tippers and the job got done faster. Tippers are for weak people.
Caminhão 500 número de ordem mack
Great vids but why are they cut so much?
What do you mean?
takes too long a front loader has just as much as garbage and is so much faster
Joookmkko00onnn
Pick up resi trash in front end loader all day then & tell me its faster try getting out of it every stop by yourself & throw the trash into the top of the truck 😂 everyones a trash guy
