This is blowing my mind. The whole point of math is to learn how to see things WITHOUT doing so much math. Similar triangles --> corresponding sides make a geometric progression --> areas are also geometric --> answer is 3 --> done. That takes 3 seconds. You might as well post a video of solving 20 x 20 by adding 20, plus 20, plus 20, etc.
For the sake of the video, I felt a more concrete solution was needed. But I could have certainly mentioned your way of thinking about/solving this problem on top of that. Thanks for the suggestion, Kevin.
