I don't see anyway possible that this doesn't taste out of this world. My family loves dips. We have done this with hamburger but you just gave us a reason to try with sausage now!
Looks good, man. I think I may try that if I can ever get off this bulldozer, been a long week! I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a Gateway drum Wednesday, should be here next week.. I know you and I have talked about pellet cookers a bit and I still may try one after the new wears off this drum -Im hoping it'll be easier to operate than stick burning, etc due to my limited time. Only 5 more hours to go! Lol. Have a good one, brother. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. Oh it’s great. I hear that brother I’m working about 50 hours a week myself. I have or my brother has a gateway drum we use it at our store and competition. It’s a great cooker as well. It’s fast I can do a whole brisket in 4 1/2 hours. You won’t be disappointed with it. Just remember don’t let it get to hot for to long. It will discolor the drum and cause burn marks. Only thing against it is it won’t hold a lot of meat. 1 brisket 2 pork buts 3 racks of ribs (unless you use the hooks you can do 8. But over all it’s a great cooker and easy to use
@@offthewallsbbqmore4821 I went ahead and ordered the matte charcoal. I believe you have that same finish if my memory serves me. That slick red and blue paint is sharp, but sure as hell I'd have something go wrong and melt that paint right off it. From what I've read, the matte finishes are supposed to be good to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. Guess we'll see. Can't wait.
Yes that what it says but when I was hanging the lid in the handles it rubbed the 1000 degrees paint off when I cleaned it with soap and water. Now I have a shiny spot about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. I no longer hang the lid on the drum. So I would not put much thought in that paint.
@@offthewallsbbqmore4821 Wow! That ain't good at all. I appreciate the heads up on the paint. As much as the damn thing cost, you'd think the finish would be something you wouldn't have to worry about. I was a bit reluctant to pay that much for a drum anyway, but it appeared to be solid. Thanks again, man. Guess I'll have to be careful.
@@offthewallsbbqmore4821 if you are ever there, look for Fronteria salsa, it is much better than pace, look for the mexican part of the store, it's usually on the top shelf
