That was THE most informative video I've ever seen about: a) Arthur Lakes b) early Como Bluff c) Harlan and Edwards d) the sequence of finds in CO and WY and e) stegosaurus :-o A couple comments - did you use a fake old piece of paper to recreate the telegram? If so, kudos! I've got that OC Marsh book and it's outrageous - didn't know it was government-funded. And finally, I need to get a photo as nice as that one Cope has. Sure, maybe he lost the Bone Wars to Marsh, but he killed him in terms of iconic picture lol!
These are great short little presentations, that really make my day -- also secretly I enjoy seeing the presenter have issues pronouncing a name, you know like us non professional folks!
There's a lot of intrigue related to reconstructing stegosaurus. You always hear about how stupid they had to be, what with the walnut brain. Then again a raven has a smaller brain than that, and they're the 2nd smartest creature on the planet. How do you eat enough with that little mouth to fuel that huge body? Or how the heck did they mate with those plates? And frankly, as an animator and a guy with some understanding of locomotion, I don't really get these creatures that have radically different leg lengths front to back.
fantastic! the trouble you go through to present these histories is phenomenal

Thanks a lot!
Fascinating presentation which, once again, made my evening!
Great video
Amazing video!!! Thank you very much!
enjoyed this. hi from new zealand.
Fantastic creature . Gotta wonder what natural evolution was thinking to evolve such a unique, unusual looking animal .
What about a video on Santana Group's fossils?
