The 3 things I think of about Russia are long. cold winters, lots of vodka and beautiful girls. This video covers two of those three. When you downed that first vodka I was cheering you on from the USA.
Very good, more videos like this please, I want to see all the traditional food, all of them, and drink more vodka and I like how you raise your hand with a clenched fist 💪
Wow, Milena! You looked fantastic in that little black dress! I have to say, any man would be so proud to have you sitting across from them at a restaurant, you are very lovely. So much food, I wish I could try it too. I know my day is coming and I will be sitting there too someday soon. You said your grandmother made some of those dishes better. You are correct, no one makes food like our grandmothers!
You are just too cute ! Beautiful and smart, I just love everything about you. Hope you continue making these terrific videos. You are doing so well 🎉 ❤.
Chicken Kiev and Chicken Cordon Bleu were popular dishes in the UK in the 1970s. I sometimes wish we could return to those menus, as I loved the Prawn Cocktail starter and BlacK Forest Gateau dessert (also part of the 70s typical UK menu). Thanks for the fun video Milena. I wish you all the best, and hope you have some plan when UA-cam is no longer accessible for Russians.
Dear Milena what a strong girl you are : three glasses of vodka! For sure your borscht is the best. Your talent as cook is real. Congratulation for your video. I hope the waitress was not too rude with you in the kitchen! ❤
I eat similar but instead of Kvas, my mom makes broth from beets like Brosch but only beets and nothing else in the broth. I eat cold over radish, canned sweet peas, canned sweet corn, hard boiled egg, sausage, fresh dill.

What a beautiful and long video, Milena. In the UK, we can get dumplings filled with berries from the Polish delicatessens. They call them 'pierogi'. The Czechs have a honey cake called 'Marlenka'. They say it's 'Zazrak z medu', which means 'Miracle from honey'. It looks a bit different to that one though. Chicken Kiev used to be a common dish here. We always said 'Kiev, not 'Keev'. But then ieverything became very political and so I haven't seen it for ages. Did you really run out of money? Oh no, I hope you didn't have to work too hard.
I tried Borsht once from my grandmother who was full Russian and I did not like it at all. To me it was too salty and tart. She rarely made it anyway. She liked chicken soup. She also made everything from scratch. Her Russian chicken salad sandwiches were to die for! I don't know what region she used, but I can't replicate it as I do not have a way to make it from scratch and I don't know the secrets. My grandmother did not make many Russian dishes for us kids, She thought they were not that healthy. After later trying some Russian dishes myself such as Piroshki and pockets, I can see her point. I have also tried Blintzes before, but not the traditional ones, she made them plain for us kids. I don't know that I would want to try Lard. I have never had black current drink, I'd try that. I'm not a fan of radishes, so I am sure I would not try that soup. I would like to try that Kiev dish with the cucumber someday. Are those dumplings Pelmeni? I want to try that too. I'm not a drinker, so I'll pass on the vodka.
I enjoy the simple and easy to understand English like childlike freedom and maybe I pick up a little Russian mixed in, I don't want to see you stress. The waitress looked like a kind person.
