I know for the Chemtronics heats that use the disc, the gray dot means it’s fixed only, and the ring means high temp. Might be the same for those Notifier detectors
Pretty sure on iOS if you take something in slomo, you can shrink the smo-motion range in post down to basically zero... Unless they changed it, I've done that before where I removed the slowmo from a slomo shot.
I tried searching for the grey circle on the smoke detector and couldn't get any information. I believe it is a notifier 851 series. The closest ones I got are the ones with black circle which is a FST-851H which is a high temp heat and the FST-851 thermals which have a grey circle on them.
The majority of them being about 20 are within probably 15 minutes but we have some in another community about 40 minutes out and then one about two hours out
It's summertime lol, usually the time the school inspections are. My company doesn't do any schools unfortunately, which sucks as they are the one building I want to do the most. Doing apartments everyday gets pretty tedious, and theres far more to test in an apartment than a school I feel.
@@MircomFan I can see that for sure being very repetitive unit after unit lots of schools get pretty boring too but the larger schools get more interesting with more building integration with fire alarm such as turning on exhaust fans and opening big doors that kind of stuff if you don’t mind me asking why doesn’t your company do schools?
@@nics-systems-electric That is very true. But yeah, mainy why I don't like it, we do about 90% apartments and 10% other buildings. What age are the schools in your area? I feel like it would be interesting for me, as most schools around my area were built between the 60s and 80s, so many have all sorts of additions and various systems, although it's mostly Mircom and Notifier here now. We don't do them because my boss doesn't want to get into bidding/ contracts, which is how most school boards find a company to do their inspections here.
Every school I've been to seems to do the test during the drill. Out of my entire time In school I've only been in one test. They got on the intercom and told that they were going to test and to stay inside. Alarms only went for about 2 minutes
I would imagine yes because essentially it's just a smoke alarm without the alarm it just has a relay that sends a signal to the main FACP regardless of whether it's ionization or photo electric
Shart elementary best name ever

I'm gonna miss these videos. Amazing how time flies by!
It got the best name ever lol

Low temperature and high temperature.
"are you pissin in there" HAHA. Love the video man. Your testing is awesome
System sounds great. Also how did it feel to climb up through that old style roof hatch? Always wanted to experience one of those.
The roof access isn’t anything exciting or special I think most of them are like that
Nice vid your testing is mega pro.

Maybe
Grey ring is heat detector. Black dot is fixed temp
*disc*
Cool. Keep up the great work!
Thanks
@@nics-systems-electric no problem

Nice video! The name of the school is purely hilarious
Do they disconnect that Notifier gateway every time they have fire drills? I would imagine the emails would get annoying on a monthly basis as well.
No we don’t for those

William Issac Shart Elementary 💀
I’ve always wanted to go to William Isaac Shart Elementary 💀
Question, are the bell light plates rare?
Not really
Oh ok
Do you know why during 12:42 the horns sound 4 times instead of 3?
Sometimes they do that when they first go off when they are still syncing with each other
how far away are all these schools from you? seems you have done lots of elemantary schools latley.
The majority of them being about 20 are within probably 15 minutes but we have some in another community about 40 minutes out and then one about two hours out

6 minutes before the hour, I could be last before the 1 hour mark!
I couldn’t help but notice the school says “shart” on it 😂

Do you wear ear protection when you're testing those?
No
@@nics-systems-electric No wonder it hurts your ears. Also, why were you struggling to get out of the gym when there was a door cracked open?
@@joelevators9667 Doesn’t really hurt the ears just some are loud door in the gym was not opening correctly when you push on it
27:58 that was a bit agressive LOL (i seen this vid 7 months late)
Why does it take a while for the bells to ring?
Because it’s conventional circuits being monitored by addressable module so there’s a long delay for the system to go into alarm

I live in america and I would much rather hear bells than the Simplex horns in my area.
Simplex horns are awesome but I prefer simplex bells
I think if you push the metal tab on the stopper it stops
There's a little plastic switch you can slide to the side inside
how many ceiling speakers are they in whole school?
More than 10 less then 1000
what paging speakers name of model?
@@reynaldochamorro8624 no clue probably lots of different kinds of them I did show the main brain at some point in the video
nice! why can’t you guys just do walk test? it would be easier imo instead of having to reset every single time
I don’t know sometimes we do but it seems easier for the person at the panel to watch the alarms come up individually to check off
Do you have a fire alarm control panel that you don't use
Yea there are a few
I really do love your videos I just wish I had my own fire alarm control panel cuz I'm really interested in fire alarms
Is there a way I can contact you easily
10:38 You probably like them because they’re manufactured by Hochiki
They seem less cheap
"shart elementary"
I literally watched this during a fire drill and during free time
Cool
Why there’s fingers 1:35
Interesting
Can smoke
Detectors expire like smoke alarms?
I would imagine yes because essentially it's just a smoke alarm without the alarm it just has a relay that sends a signal to the main FACP regardless of whether it's ionization or photo electric
Yes they do fail sometimes they don’t and sometimes they do within a couple years or even less you never know
Ok thx
They technically don’t. However it is RECOMMENDED that they be replaced every 10 years. There is no code saying they MUST be replaced
So this building is not up to code.
Seems fine to me what problem do you see?
