Pushing a basketball player while he's in the air for a dunk or layup is, to me, the biggest no-no in sports. It's very dangerous. It's the kind of thing that even if my team did it I'd be livid at them.

@The FUSS he got comeuppance tho. Built up such a reputation that when he really didn't do anything (stood up after a grown man knocked him down and stepped over him) the refs yanked him, gave the Cavs a stimulus package and it maybe cost GSW that Finals

At 6:50 Mike said something about frustration being at the root of most fouls and I'd agree with that statement. Especially in the context of that clip. If you look at the score, they were down by 40! And they had 20 minutes of game play left. And to top it off, it was the first round of the playoffs so yeah, they were frustrated.

The reason teammates tend to not to get involved with these minor altercations is because the fines are large and you can get suspended for multiple games without pay. If a player on the bench steps onto the court he automatically gets fined and sometimes suspended.

The money is stupid big. China pays a lot of money to the NBA. But if you stand for freedom for Hong Konger’s, and an end to the enslavement the Chinese have done to the Muslim uyghers, you are instantly cut off, and the teams games are blacklisted...just as Enes Kanter has spoken out challenging China for enslaving almost a million ethnic Muslims, and forcing them to work in NBA clothing and gear manufacturing factories. It saddens me but it’s gotten out of control. The NBA tacitly endorses slavery, and turns a blind eye to Muslim suffering. Fuck the NBA!

You have 6 personal fouls for things like charging, illegal contact, loose ball, blocking the dribbler without being set, moving screens, hitting ball-handlers arm, etc., and once you're hit with your 6th one, you've fouled out of the game. Personal fouls also include two types of flagrant fouls -- Flagrant 1 is unnecessary contact (unintentional or intentional i.e. you're fouling a guy and decide to give him a little extra to teach him a lesson) and Flagrant 2 is unnecessary and excessive contact (especially if it has a high chance of causing injury). For a Flagrant 1, the team that was fouled gets free throws and the ball back. Flagrant 2, same deal and in addition, the offending player gets tossed from the game. There are also technical fouls -- you can get those for things like calling a time out your don't have, bad conduct like cursing at the ref or the coach continuously complaining about a call, fighting too many players on the court, etc.

So there are often times where a team that is losing will want to send a message to the other team. Plus all wins are treated equally, so losing by a large amount won't hurt you like it would it something like the Champions League.

The high fives after an ejection isn't so much of a "great job" as it is kind of a consolation. The ejected player knows that he's just hurt the team by putting his pride before them. He's kind of trying to apologize and say, "Hey, sorry. We're still cool, right?" and the responding high fives are more of a, "You done goofed, bruh. Thanks for bringing us this far, but go cool your head before we meet again. Don't feel too down, but we don't want to have to do this again. Go (team name)!" A bit of camaraderie and silent reprimand and repenting in that high five than gloating. Because if you're gloating about being a dick team, you're going to be labeled a dick team. No one is going to appreciate a dick team nor is any one going to respect a dick team.

That is simple. Nobody watches the WNBA! Woman's professional basketball would not exist if the NBA didn't own it. Every other league has folded.

I would probably click on more of your videos if you shortened up the intros a bit, I've ended up just skipping ahead about 90 seconds when I click on one. So if you cut the intro and other channels / patreon / merch promos down to 30 seconds, or talked about them more at the end instead, I think you'd get more views / subscribers
