I just bought a new head and it was immediately leaking so I thought it was just bad quality but then when I came to your video I realized I just didn't add the washer 😭😭 thank you so much for this video!! it's my first time leaving by myself so I'm kinda discovering everything hahahaha thank youuu 🩷
The instructions in the video worked like a charm. Thankfully I had some rubber dipped gloves handy and I was able to unscrew the head with ease. Re-tightened it and 70% of the leak disappeared. Un-screwed it again, Flipped the filter over and Re-tightened it... 80% improvement but still has leakage. Looks like I may need another filter/gasket. Thank you for a great video and concise!
Unfortunately when mine usually starts leaking is cause that cheap plastic nut that holds the hose on the shower head has some how split or broken and needs to be replaced completely. Because that nut is prone to loosen over time being used. I will add a little silicone on the threads to hopefully sort of glue the nut in place to keep it from loosing up. Seems to help for me!
Thanks I bought a brand new shower head that was leaking and I was about to throw it away . This video helped ! I added some plastic washers in two places and fixed the issue
Masterfully helpful tips never seem to stop. My Spring Honey-Dew list looks eerily similar to the YT playlist of your videos. Appreciate the content, Brother.
Brand new shower head installed today, only leaks from the back connection after the water is turned off. Everything is tight and no breaks or cracks in anything. Every wand style shower head I've ever used has had this type of leak in literally hundreds of different places in the US that I've showed in . I can only think it's a pressure release mechanism causing it, but I do not know for certain and nothing stops it. It's not like a spray type leak but more like a seeping out and dripping type leak for only about 20 to 30 seconds.
The combo shower head with the diverted for the hand sprayer has been a game changer, they make suction cup and adhesive mounts so you can make a bootleg multi head shower system
Can you do a basic garbage disposal replacement video? I just replaced mine and the resources on YT are lacking with proper info for a correct replacement.
One reason is visually you would see the tape, but even if that was ok. If you look closely notice the threads do not go around all the way, they are flattened on the side. Without the washer they would not seal no matter how much tape you had. The washer should always be enough.
Hmm, I've used channel locks for jobs like that but I wrap the teeth up in a wash cloth. Not saying that's the best way (or even better) just saying I'm a bad person to trust with a wrench😆
Is there a way to replace the screw that is part of the head? The screw on the head is worn off and we can see it is a separate black plastic part fitted into the showerhead. Please advise.
my hansgrohe shower hose is leaking from the hose side of the connector to the shower head. The hose is moving inside the connector. I have an identical one which does not move inside the connector and does not leak. Do I need to replace the hose?
For me, the leak was from the hose due to crack as the inner hose becomes brittle and warn. How do I know this? Without reattaching the showerhead, I can already see the water leaking out just before the end. I found a few Russian hacks but it's a big project.
Neither Home Depot nor Lowes had any staff but a checker and one floor person near the shower area who knew less than the checker girl to help with a simple thing like the correct washer. Is this their technique to force me to buy a new shower head?
This isn't a fix of the hose, this is a fix for the shower head. My hose has leaks. Unfortunately, it's in a walk in tub and replacing the hose involves removing a panel. I thought maybe I could cut the hose and attach a new one where I cut it and use sealant & water proof tape. I guess not.
😲Don't put anything on the threads👀😳....oops. I guess that is why it is still leaking. My handheld shower head is brand new. Exchanged it for another, same result. So I'm doing something wrong
I had a different problem which was the internal pipe was broken which was resolved by watching this video : ua-cam.com/video/0MX0znSgnfA/v-deo.html Suggest watching both videos everyone to cover all your bases
You just unsubbed from someone that gave you correct factual advice. If you look closely notice the threads do not go around all the way the showerhead., they are flattened on the sides. These are not sealing threads. You could put all the tape you want, they will not seal and are not designed to. The washer is the only way to seal this connection, tape would have no effect, none at all.
Never put filters in side its stop all obstacles back in the pipes and aftr few mobths all pipes.r chokes aur water pressure reduces do much .take out all filters and keep obstacles run out

Removing Teflon tape was what did it for me. Didnt know you shouldnt use it on that connection. Thanks for the hints
Your voice makes me smile... and then you back it up with great advice! 👍 I'll use this Knowledge!

Thanks man, reversing the rubber gasket fixed my problem. Great video and clear informative explanation of everything.
Perfect job for one of those small rubber strap wrenches! Love your videos! Keep'm coming!
Thank you much appreciated
usually that leak is from a rupture hose. your fix is for a hose that came loose

Flipping the washer works for me. Thanks for the tip
I used to travel and I kept a wrench in my suitcase. Hotel pressure isn’t always good but a quick cleaning helped always.
Thanks I bought a brand new shower head that was leaking and I was about to throw it away . This video helped ! I added some plastic washers in two places and fixed the issue
Thank god for UA-cam

Very helpful and no babble! Great, many thanks x
this video is pure gold !
First thing I do in a new house or vacation home is take that mesh out, much better pressure .
Thank you so much. I'm going to try. I really hope it helps.
Great to the point video. Thanks for your time and effort

Thanks again for an informative video!
Thanks!! Flipping the washer solved it for me.
The combo shower head with the diverted for the hand sprayer has been a game changer, they make suction cup and adhesive mounts so you can make a bootleg multi head shower system
They are really great for cleaning the shower stall and bath too.
Thanks a lot! This worked for my situation.
Extremely helpful, great video.
Glad it was helpful!
I had a hose with leaks, but this time it is the shower head and exactly as described here. I'm getting the plumber back around to put in on properly.
thank you, my shower head is 4 month new, so really was unhappy with leakage
Nice easy simple vid, thankyou❤
Thank you ❤️ Perfect Tutorial 👍
Thanks for sharing the information!!!
1:34 the metal piece is stuck and doesn’t move down
Thank you, you saved me lots of time. My new hose didn't come with any seals so i just reused the old ones.
We all want to tell you we are very very happy there was no shower on UA-cam today…. Thank you😱🤐😳🤙🥳🗽😷😉👋🙌🍸🇺🇸🗽🍸🥂🍾🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Any chips in the hose seat can be smoothed over with a good fine wet and dry abrasive paper
Can you do a basic garbage disposal replacement video? I just replaced mine and the resources on YT are lacking with proper info for a correct replacement.
Thanks for that. Now, have you covered how to get rid of the buildup of mineral deposits left after the showerhead has been leaking for quite a while?
CLR works great to dissolve that crud.
Do i have to shut the water of the home off first before doing this ?
Why not Teflon tape on steel threads?
One reason is visually you would see the tape, but even if that was ok. If you look closely notice the threads do not go around all the way, they are flattened on the side. Without the washer they would not seal no matter how much tape you had. The washer should always be enough.
Excellent advice as always 👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much this helped me
Awesome! Fixed
thank you
Thank you very much😊
when you dont wanna find a replacement giving the o ring a bath in some silicone oil MAY rejuvenate it.
That is a great tip! I used to do that when I rebuilt carburetors on older equipment and it worked really well. Thanks for sharing this
Nice job, I wish I had seen your video first 😥
Next time!
Hmm, I've used channel locks for jobs like that but I wrap the teeth up in a wash cloth. Not saying that's the best way (or even better) just saying I'm a bad person to trust with a wrench😆
Same, apartment life… all the tools are back at my parents house
Thanks for the great tip 👍
Awesome... Thanks....

Thanks
Mine started to rust the thread, fixed it by cleaning the threads and add teflon tape on it just to make sure it is tight!
my hansgrohe shower hose is leaking from the hose side of the connector to the shower head. The hose is moving inside the connector. I have an identical one which does not move inside the connector and does not leak. Do I need to replace the hose?
So a replacement will solve my problem. Now I know. Just kidding from one maintenance man to another
Are the instructions the same if the link it at the other end of the hose
Thanks for sharing..
Grab a hold of the shaft? Lmao
Check inner part of the hose.. in my case the hose was cut internally somehow. So the water followed the hose all the way up from outside and leaked.
Just tried turning over the sealant, didn’t work 😢 looks like a hole between the pieces of metal below the shower head
For me, the leak was from the hose due to crack as the inner hose becomes brittle and warn. How do I know this? Without reattaching the showerhead, I can already see the water leaking out just before the end. I found a few Russian hacks but it's a big project.
My hoses that attach at the top of a shower panel waterfall both broke off. How do I fix that?
Ots the inner hose inmy case very small in diameter ruptured and leaking into outer flex wall
Neither Home Depot nor Lowes had any staff but a checker and one floor person near the shower area who knew less than the checker girl to help with a simple thing like the correct washer. Is this their technique to force me to buy a new shower head?
Mine leaks at the spot between hose and base
Oh man thanks you saved me £150 😅
It’s like he keeps going through my “daddy do” list and helping me clear it! Scary…
No bonus tip of removing the flow restrictor?
Secret revealed here: ua-cam.com/video/qD_-QWTnZr4/v-deo.html
I can't get the end out of the connector......I want to shorten the hose. But the end is literally stuck inside. How can I get it out???? Plz help!
What about the part that those hose connects to the spigot
Good Good g
I already knew about this because I had to do it last year.
I usually just turn the water off.
That, uh, thumbnail, has a different shape than you were expecting.
Sure did eh 👍🏻

If you purchase a washer purchase 2
Really
hOW MANY SECONDS, THIS SHOULD BE DONE ALREADY.
Mine is brand new, brand new washer, works with one shower head, but pours out with another.
i say water hose leak , not the connector leaks
😲Don't put anything on the threads👀😳....oops. I guess that is why it is still leaking. My handheld shower head is brand new. Exchanged it for another, same result. So I'm doing something wrong
I bet you sweat glitter.
I think they need to come up with a better invention overall and stop the old way of making them
I had a different problem which was the internal pipe was broken which was resolved by watching this video : ua-cam.com/video/0MX0znSgnfA/v-deo.html Suggest watching both videos everyone to cover all your bases
If the hose inside the metal housing is leaking, use this video to fix it: ua-cam.com/video/0MX0znSgnfA/v-deo.html
Maybe 300 seconds.
True, but if you use the rubber jar opener and flip the washer, you are done in under a minute.
Why is this video so late? It's around 11:30pm . Unfair for people In europe
Use it as asmr :)
Lol duh
