    Success has a different meaning for everyone. Some women dream to become a mother, some others don’t want children. Others have fun with their careers/friends. It’s important to find what you want in life while also enjoying the journey. That applies to all of us regardless the age or stage of our life’s.

      So true. For me, my success is measured by the success of my children. I gave up a career in my life and all this to fulfill my dream, to start a successful family and children. I'm quite educated and have a university degree and really wholeheartedly, I do not feel missed.
      At the moment, I am also involved in education and teaching children in school. I think I could not combine a career with mothers and preferred to pay the price by giving up my own career for the sake of the integrity of my family and children.
      My husband works shifts at the airport and is not at home much. I believe the woman is the heart and backbone of the home. So it is, that I have no regrets, or misses, loving my life as it is. To be honest, before I got married I traveled a lot around the world and lived in New York for two years, so I also did not miss it. For me, I have fulfilled myself and the greatest passion I have and still have, my dear husband and my children❤❤

      My sweetheart, of course not.
      It is important to me that my children be happy and happy first and foremost and succeed in their own way. For me, everything is acceptable, do not pressure them on anything, let them progress at their own pace.

    this is SO refreshing to hear. I have always felt the same way! There is way too much societal pressure on marriage and children etc. Especially for women it can be so stressful and overwhelming to hear friends talk about marriage + kids when it isn't something in your radar!

  • @nikolinauricic3659

    I absolutely agree with everything both of you said.
    It's true that people can get offended if you have a different opinion, experience, or deviate from some standard rhythm. Sometimes, I regret that I can't honestly express my opinion among such people in most cases because I know they will be offended.
    I have been in a relationship for 12 and a half years, and everything is wonderful; we have no problems or difficulties, and people ,in our environment, have never taken us seriously because we don't carry the title of being ,,married''.
    A few days ago, he decided to propose to me, and friends bombarded us with questions like whether I'm pregnant, why we haven't planned the wedding, why after 12 years, why we waited so long, and sentences like "You'll see when you're pregnant" and similar remarks...
    I believe that due to so many expectations and the toxicity spreading through society at an alarming rate, many relationships fall apart, and that's sad. As you already said ,we all have our own pace, interests, and lives, and I would love to see that being more appreciated. I'm glad you made this video, glad that you have his support

    I'd just like to drop you a line on the marriage topic: I've been feeling lately like I am at that period of my life where I should get married and think about kids, and I think this came to me more because of others' expectations than my own. I've been together with my boyfriend for 4 years and we've been living together (essentially just like a family whatsoever) since month 2. And I've never felt pressure to want marriage up until the moment more and more of my friends started making families and they've got their eyes on me like "soo when's your turn", which to me feels as if I was asking them "sooo when do you get a job? or start a business?" Funny, I am always the one who stands away from the crowd waiting to catch the bouquet and lately I'm finding myself lost in how things "should be" according to other people's mindset. Rather, just like you say it - success means different things for everybody and nobody should be forcing their ideas onto other people, be it marriage or business, or job, or family. Thanks for this reminder Xenia! xo

    Totally agree with you that NO matter how progressive and evolved we’d like to think we are, society still has so many traditional expectations. Especially of women. The most difficult thing is that sometimes it’s an undercurrent and not as obvious on the surface. That’s the more dangerous pressure. I’ve been taking more time to consider things, question and try to be more intentional about everything!

    Thank you!! I’m experiencing the same with the marriage thing.. “so, when’s your turn? For how long are you together now?” why do people I barely know, care about this? There’s so much more about me apart from my marital status. It’s like some people think you’re not complete without marriage / a relationship. I get the point, they want to see me happy. But then again - happiness is more than just marital status. And as I said, on some days some random people I see maybe twice a year annoy me with this question.
    As on the pill subject - I stopped taking it three years ago and I love how I got to know my body and it’s signals, especially during my cycle again.

      @@hannabe2102 Hi Hanne, the pill will only flourish your hormonal imbalances and not make them actually better or go away. You will notice this once you stop taking the pill and it could be the case that your hormonal imbalances get even worse because you were on the pill for a while. The book Gigi is referring to is a very good read on this topic with a lot of facts, I suggest you read this book and take a look on some women platforms online where women share their experiences for more information. Hormonal imbalances can be helped with eating and cutting certain foods from your diet. Plants are absolutely the body's best medicine. Best regards, Lily

      Ich kann dich total nachvollziehen. Hab genau die selbe Situation (werde bald 30). Seltsamerweise werde ich aber immer nur von meinen Freundinnen - also wirklich nur von Frauen - deshalb in eine Ecke gedrängt. Ich komme aus einem Dorf, wir (meine Freundinnen und ich) sind alle studiert, haben jahrelang in größeren bzw. Großstädten gelebt und dementsprechend freie/andere Lebensweisen auch gesehen und kennengelernt. Kaum sind wir nach und nach wieder zurück in der Heimat, hab ich das Gefühl, dass alle von ihnen das, was sie eigentlich ja in den Großstädten gesehen haben, vergessen und plötzlich zurück in die Denkweise von Hausfrauen aus den 60ern im Sinne von Engstirnigkeit zurück gestuft sind...es ist einfach nur ätzend. Von mir aus sollen sie machen, was sie wollen, sich für 40 Jahre verschulden für ein Haus, 2 Kinder bekommen, 20.000 Euro für eine Hochzeit ausgeben etc. Es ist mir scheiß egal, es ist ihr Leben. Aber mich mein Leben leben wie ich es will, das wird immer hinterfragt.

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I definitely agree that everybody has his own goals in life, his choices, and everybody is different and unique. But I don’t agree that only the simple things matter in life, and not the fancy ones, because in my opinion, first of all you need to have it all what you are dreaming about, in order understand what makes you really happy, you know what I mean ? Only when you have fancy and everything, here you’ll be able to choose what matters for you. So I think it’s also a super important experience

    • @xeniaadonts
      @xeniaadonts  3 роки тому +1

      I totally get where you are coming from, good point, however I actually don’t think so - because if you look, there are tons of people who have this realization without reaching this point first. My fav person on the internet is Isabel Paige and she’s the best example of not needing a lot to be happy and experience life in its depth. I think you need to have the bases such as good health, a home, food, feeling safe and secure, which is all also part of being privileged but its also things that most of my audience, who watches me, have.. the rest is just an illusion. I knew this already before I became ‘wealthier’. For example, if I wasn’t materialistically successful I wouldn’t be an unhappy person as long as my base needs would be fulfilled. But I get your point and I think its worth a conversation :) xx

    • @mariainparis
      @mariainparis 3 роки тому

      @@xeniaadonts Yes Xenia, I get you totally! I didn’t mean that we are not able to be happy in life without wealth. Of course, the basics are the most important ones and we should be grateful for everything in our life. But in my opinion wealth experience is definitely something of another level and needs also to be experienced in order to make more qualitative conclusions about what really matters in life. Not everyone is striving for wealth and it’s totally normal, everybody has his own goals. But those who want it, as myself, we need to achieve it first in order to make better conclusions about life. Really cool that you have achieved this level and that you are experiencing it! I’m sure it’s a goal for many of us here 💓 and may be we’ll experience it with different conclusions 🤩

    I think I totally agree with you guys (although we are married for 10+ years - first bornes etc.... ) but now that we think about it we wouldn't get married if we would need to do it now. I think regarding the success it's very very valid and I agree , but i think this comes only when you are actually content with how you are and where you are in the place in life, I don't have goals but also we just purchased a house, got a Tesla and each of us got a promotion in their jobs, so I think that I agree but I can absolutely see how many people wouldn't agree with it as they are in a different places in life.

    And if you do get married, the next thing these same people will start asking you is, “ How’s married life?” As if there’s an answer besides ‘good.’ Then it’s, “When are you having kids?” Nosy people.

    I want to say this as the daughter of two people who thought very similarly to you Xenia and because Life happens, never ended up getting married. They faced an even more conservative society then who put some pressure but now after everything even though they are still together they missed out on having this fun celebration. It is for you after all. Its your memories that you create. Its pictures and videos you will have later on. They dont have this.

    I have the same opinion on marriage as you guys but when I decide to have children with my partner I would do it because I’ve seen friends who struggle e.g. when they travel with their child and it doesn’t have the same name and other legal stuff… I mean it sucks and maybe this will change but the legal system is still so conservative it sucks

    Hi Jürgen and Xenia!!! I just discovered you literally friday night on tiktok and I already went through all your insta and your UA-cam videos. I completely understand what you mean, I just read a book that talks about it, its called "the subtle art of not giving a fuck" and basically talks about how its okay of not putting success to be "awesome" because maybe your kind of success was meant to be something else. For me literally I found what I want to be in 7 years (you) I am 23, about to graduate from my bachelor's Business administration and Im very confused of what to do now with my life. I want to do everything and I have always said that there is so much world and so little time... If you are looking for an intern or assistant of the assistant or a friend please give me a call hahahaha.
    Love, your most recent biggest fan
    Brenda, mexican 23.

    Society want all of us running in a wheel, the same wheel for all, like robots. I personally ignore the voices of 'society', my life is mine and we all have different personalities and differents ways of living. Come one, we have to change it, we're free to choose how we want lo live life and we're all different

    I don't ever want to get married because what's the point? I don't like the idea of marriage, how traditionally it is a selling of a woman to be some kind of a servant to her husband, a slave, child bearer and how the man is to be in charge of all the money. Of course the times have changed but even the concept of taking your husband's name.
    I don't feel a need to prove to the society that my relationship is valid and real. That I take my partner seriously. The pressure to get married is actually what pushes me even farther away from it.
    Besides it is so pricey. Why would I spend so much on a party? You can always elope of course, but again, why would I want to.
    If you love someone you do not need a silly-ass ceremony to prove it.
    Also the idea of being legally-bound to someone. If it makes you feel more secure, sure that your partner won't leave you maybe you should seriously rethink your relationship.
    I love the idea of being with someone for years because we love each other and not because we are married.
