Perhaps the first girl overdid vibrato for this song, while the last lady did excessive beltings but that ending note was frickin unbelievable. Kenny B just nailed it!
Even though I'm not a Cantonese speaker, I've heard this song before - that's how popular it is. Personally, I'm rather neutral about the Mandarin/Cantonese switching, because Zhang BiChen did explain afterwards that when she tried it in Cantonese, no one could understand her. And Huang QiShan doesn't speak Cantonese either. From a melodic perspective, they sound quite harmonised, especially at the ending. The four of them do quite good on the group numbers.
I agree, I’m cantonese and I didn’t mind, I appreciate they tried but just couldn’t grasp a dialect they didn’t know in time, but both apart of the chinese language and culture coexist well enough; both support, honor and respect

Oh man, Glorious Years is such a canto classic. While i'm glad they decided to sing something from Beyond, but this fell flat. Yes, they sounded great, but they failed to deliver the meaning of the song. This song has a powerful message and I didn't feel it in this. Also the alternating lines b/w canto and mando took me out. I think it would have a better effect if the verses alternated rather than lines.

@@yeokeong8497的确如此， 一首歌曲可以用任何语言表达和改编，改编的目的也并不是一味的保持和原作一样，否则就失去了改编的意义。演绎歌曲的目的是体现歌声和旋律的动听和流畅，歌词的意境和吐字和音乐和谐，这个表演感觉没有呈现这样的演绎。

@@yeokeong8497 不是啦～如果改得好的话当然可以接受啊，多了另一个版本听也是好的。这一季仍然有不少经典歌曲改编都活得很好的反响，但是如果有大数量的声音说改编得呈现不出这首歌的意境，还把这首歌唱坏了，那制作组就必须认真考虑以及好好采纳观众的意见，毕竟不能一味盲目夸赞，有时吸取批评能够做得更好。
