Hi Paul, I'm loving this series. I've had a PC based oscilloscope (Hantek 6022BE) for a few years now and really haven't had much use for it till now, so it's great to learn how to put it to use. Also, I spoke to my CFO (wife) and she's given me permission to contribute to your great cause again. Keep up the good work and thanks again.
Thank you Paul for passing along these more advanced lessons. I always find them helpful .. Love the idea of integrating the OpAmp as you mentioned . They have always been a weak topic in my knowledge bank .
Lovely to have woken up to this video. Thanks heaps Paul. You are legend! The sheer passion of your videos give something special to every subject you indulge in. God bless 🎉
Great discussion as always! Since these live sessions are a chance to jump ahead I would like to see one showing how you would control something using the R4's wifi capability. For example - turning the built in LED located on the R4 on/off remotely from a computer or phone. Thanks.
Excellent analog video. I really like the scope. My scope has the I2C RS232 SPI decoder, which is handy for MODBUS stuff. ✨ The sin-wave example is nice. Thank you Paul. I like the live-streams and op-amps is a great jewel subject. . 💎
Trigger on the falling edge of the sawtooth to solve the jitter. Note the jitter may be noise picked up by the scope probes rather than a noisy DAC output. You won't see stair steps using increments of 1 no matter how much you slow it down because the steps are 1/255th of each ramp and you simply can't see that resolution on the scope screen.
NICELY DONE! Is your compound highly automated, if not,might be a cool ongoing project! Yes, the op amp live stream sounds great. PS: You should get a RC boat with cam!!
Hey Paul! Great lesson, thanks. Can you please recommend a simpler oscilloscope for hobbyists or enthusiasts? I think getting this one for my use case would be like getting a bazooka to kill a fly
Maybe use op amp as filter. Produce 60 to 10k warble with DAC. Make op amp only let 2k - 3k thru kind of thing. Absolutely love your courses. Thank you.

Brilliant! I haven't got an R4 yet so can't join in but your explanations are simple and clear. Roll on the op amp!

This is a very useful video. Please keep the live streams coming.
Paul McWhorter is the real deal Holyfield!

Good morning Paul. Always number one man.
Morning!

Hi Paul, how to make a PID control with the output of the PID (MV) with a value range of 0 to 5 vdc? please advise, thank you
I would like to catch the next livestream, but I enjoyed watching this one after the fact, though. 👍 😄
Is the simulated sine wave negative for half the cycle or is it positive for the entire cycle like a sine wave shifted up by one half the amplitude?
Op amps are exciting.

Don't have a RC boat, but do have a nice drone which makes some awesome video of the area around our compound.

Freddy, this one is the simple one. It is not as complicated as it looks.
Dear Paul, Can I go beyond 10000Hz if I use Arduino mega ?
I think the DAC o/p current is same 8mA as other pins
would be nice to see some real applications of DAC functionality
come backkk pleaseee
Thanks
Wow, really appreciate that. It is a big encouragement, thank you for the generosity.
Hellow grandpa,,,watching from ph philippines
Very useful

i dont understand the 255. i may have to watch this again to get it.
Its an 8 bit number . . . 2^8-1
Dammit - my 3:00 AM alarm didn't go off (actually, more likely IT DID but I slept on ;( )
I don't understand the lines in your code:
int freq(1000);
wave.square(freq);
Why isn't the first line just:
int freq = 1000;
It was a mistake on my part. I am shocked it actually worked. Your way above is correct way.
Oh. Maybe you answered this to be positive for the entire cycle.
