I saw Alexa with her dad Billy at Lynn University in Boca Raton -- She was the supportive daughter in the audience sitting a few rows in front of me. She was gloriously beautiful ... A much more exotic look than her beautiful mother. But just as beautiful in her own right. Her father was gracious and funny and ever so talented .. I felll in Love with him all over again. People don't give the children of huge stars enough credit. Can you imagine trying to grow up into an individual and find confidence in who you are when you are and will always be viewed in the context of your parents by almost everyone? From a very young age they ask themselves the question - how can I possibly be loved or worth something when I'm not who THEY are? She seems to be doing just fine for herself. And she IS a beautiful girl.
They do get a leg up, however. The only way to test someone's ability to perform or be a model, would be if you did not now who they were when you employed them. Amber Le Bon always tried to be a model, and everyone said she was not pretty enough. Every article or photo of her said 'the daughter of Yasmin and Simon Le Bon' If she went to an agency, and no-one knew her, they would not have taken her on. Same as the Jaggers. Would Stella McCartney be able to have a shop in Bond Street and be on TV shows if she was an unknown dress designer? Her fashion show was on the promenade in Paris, she had the whole street closed. Imagine if you tried to do this!

BadMystique Oh she ranted in two super long messages with this crazy sense of entitlement and presumption and told me I should listen to her great father's (kitsch) lyrics about the angry young man because I was one- in her estimation. The thing is, at the time she was dressing up like a child would, imagining she was going to fit into the high fashion model category which was absurd and so she was wearing these crazy skin tight black-and-white numbers and posing with these facial expressions like some sort of crazed dominatrix. I personally don't care about any of that- IF you can pull it off... but instead of passing, again, she looked like a cross between a child playing dress up and a drag queen. It was silly, not successful. She has her own looks and could play into her own strengths and not only look great but also inspire others to feel confident that there are other kinds of beauty besides what's playing in the Hamptons, but I guess peer pressure there is too strong and so she was off re-shaping her eyebrows and wearing too much make up instead of defying the Hamptons scene which is what anyone with real self respect would do. And again, if you cant really pull something off perfectly, the closer you get to it the stupider you look trying. So I tried to tell her, in fewer words, to be her self. For that I was branded a sexist pig. The funny thing is all the while she was labeling me presumptive, it was in fact she who was making all the assumptions... a real nut job. I watched an interview with her mother and she was clearly referring to the incident and trying to blame the ridiculous outfits on Fashion Week. I have news for the legendary super model- these weren't fashion. They were stripper outfits. Its just a matter of fact.

It was silly, not successful. She has her own looks and could play into her own strengths and not only look great but also inspire others to feel confident that there are other kinds of beauty besides what's playing in the Hamptons, but I guess peer pressure there is too strong and so she was off re-shaping her eyebrows and wearing too much make up instead of defying the Hamptons scene which is what anyone with real self respect would do. And again, if you cant really pull something off perfectly, the closer you get to it the stupider you look trying. So I tried to tell her, in fewer words, to be her self. For that I was branded a sexist pig. The funny thing is all the while she was labeling me presumptive, it was in fact she who was making all the assumptions... a real nut job. I watched an interview with her mother and she was clearly referring to the incident and trying to blame the ridiculous outfits on Fashion Week. I have news for the legendary super model- these weren't fashion. They were stripper outfits. Its just a matter of fact.

Google her name and search images- you will see her making these faces like Cruella Dville with her eyebrows half-way up her forehead with makeup to make her cheekbones look really severe. While she might think shes getting close to looking lie a super model, in fact what really comes across is no cigar. Its better to win in a category you can own than to be a wannabe in another which was what was going on.
I think she is stunningly beautiful. I can't say I know how hard it is to grow up in your 2 famous parents shadow, but I think she is doing great. Wish her luck and much love ,Alexa.

Whatever happened to the days when a homely girl could just be herself?? What is all this nonsense that "everyone is beautiful"? Isn't this placing way to much emphasis on physical beauty? This poor girl is under soooo much pressure to transform into something she isn't. It's perfectly okay to be less than physically drop dead gorgeous. Instead of focusing on something she can never be why isn't she free to play on her strengths? Barbra Streisand, the original "homely girl" did just fine with her amazing talent. It is the general public that is to blame. Let people be who they are and stop projecting your warped standards on the entire world.

there's no accounting for taste. if she is beautiful we'll never know because she's so overly processed and covered with make up and then she's always striking these over-the-top exaggerated poses like a drag queen impersonating Joan Crawfird with her overly painted eyebrows hiked all the way high on her forehead like Cruella DeVil- google it and look at these affected, deranged poses. Any beauty she might have is obliterated by her carriage.
