He’s perfect for the pelicans.He’s a lob/putback threat and rim protection.We have Zion, DJM,CJ,Trey,Ingram,Herb hawk,Jose.Theirs only one ball .
Signed Daniel Theis today, as well.
Yes, the New Orleans Pelicans are already locked and loaded for the playoffs with Zion, Ingram JV, CJ, Herbs Jones, Tray, Jose, Hawkins, and Yves, who is 7ft, age 20. Omg!
No they're not

Well ....... Considering who we just got from Atlanta now we are🎉
@@brandonleemoss 7th seed
My PnR big man has to have great hands and a good feel for spacing and timing on the rolls. He has all those. He also does a good job creating and finishing through contact, along with quick strong drives to the basket off the dribble for himself. The thing he needs to work on is putting on muscle/weight and his jump shot.
But also on the defensive end, he’s way more raw there than offensively. His angles, position, and reaction time are off too often right now, which makes Missi much more of a project imo
This draft is a great chance for Griizlies to find their center for the future, but I'm not sure who would be a better fit, Kyle Filipowski, who can post up and space the floor, or Yves Missi, who will be a better defender and lob threat. Rockets, Thunder, Pelicans all need center like Missi. I doubt he'll end up outside of lottery
I probably like Missi slightly better next to Jaren Jackson Jr, but I prefer Flip as a prospect overall. I agree with what you’re saying, though.
Missi is a top 20 prospect for me, but this draft is going to be highly contextual and dependent on team fit. Much more so than previous years imo, particularly at the top. That’s why I think Missi’s range could be in the lottery even if I’m slightly lower than that on him. Thanks for watching!
Besides Flip or Missi in the next draft there are quite a few interesting centers like Clingan, Bradshaw or Edey, each of them with different characteristics and that could be useful for the Grizzlies.
IMO Clingan could be a very interesting player.
@@FloorandCeiling I think Adem Bona would fill the Clint Capela role better.
@@rep227 I currently have Bona 4 spots higher than Missi on my personal big board.
Kyle is a power forward in the nba he’s a terrible shot blocker and defender
Future raptor
I think Missi is a solid fit in Toronto next to Scottie, IQ, and RJ. Plus, the Raptors front office really liked a comparable prospect in Christian Koloko before his health issues, so I could see this happening right outside the lottery.
@@FloorandCeiling Excellent point
Draft is today and I see this to. Let’s see tho
He's new Capela lol safe pick but limited team offensive ceiling and space.
Yeah, I think that's fair. He's a pretty safe first round pick in this draft, but I'd be very hesitant to pick him in the lottery over other prospects who imo have way more upside.
More Damian Jones because of his built
Could you order this bigs, specially for the Raptors need (protectors that can also space de floor and por the Indiana pick): Missi, Kel el Ware, Ivisic and Aaron Bradshaw ?? THANKS A LOT. Cool content and amazing job !! thanks for this amazing reports !!
Thanks, I appreciate it! For the Raptors, I'd probably say Missi, Bradshaw, Ivisic, Ware.
I'm not a big Ware guy because of his motor and inconsistency, though, and I think I'm higher on Bradshaw than most.
Combine just put his wingspan at 7;2"
Going off the combine, the name Missi measures almost identically to is Tiago Splitter interestingly enough in terms of standing reach (9'1.5"), weight, and wingspan (7'2"). Missi is a tiny bit taller.
Can you do a video for another cameroonian like missi. His name is Ulrich Chomche best cameroonian prospect since embiid. Hes top 15 on the bleacher report draft, hes the youngest prospect born in december 30 2005
I'll have a video on Chomche if he ends up declaring for this draft, since he's also 2025 eligible. I've had the chance to see him live with the NBA Academy and he's very talented. Took college visits to USC and Texas this week, so it's still not a sure thing at all that he enters the 2024 draft.
@@FloorandCeiling what about now? He’s in the draft right?
@@Justfranktbh Not officially yet, as far as I know. He's eligible but he's not officially staying in it. I'm watching how he does over Nike Hoop Summit though.
Just curious..why not wait until the season is over and the players have been officially measured to do a scouting report? For instance, you cited a 49% ft% but he's actually at 62%. And he officially measured a 7'2" wingspan instead of the 7'6" wingspan you cited in the video.
I enjoy your videos and appreciate the effort but it seems like these inaccuracies take away from the quality of the scouting report.
I’m sorry you feel that way, but it’s what comes with publishing content over the course of the season. Some things will change over time, which is no different to how the actual process plays out for teams.
Beyond that, as I’m sure you can imagine, it would be very draining and also counterproductive to my own personal goals for the channel to wait until the season ends before unleashing a barrage of videos. Logistically, that would make no sense for the channel and, on a personal level, it’s not a tangible work/life balance. I hope that addresses your question the best way possible.
@@FloorandCeiling yeah that makes plenty of sense and it’s a credit to how much draft content you push out. Thanks for all your hard work!
Missi is a tall, physical player who rebounds well (especially on offense) and puts up blocks. And that's it, that's all. And with that short baggage, which does not seem to improve given his serious technical deficiencies, he can be top 20 or even enter the lottery. Surprising or we are facing a pretty weak draft.
In my opinion he is not better than players with similar characteristics like Nnnaji (pick 31 of the 2023 draft and who is playing 7 minutes in the Spanish league) or Khalifa Diop (pick 39 of the 2022 draft and who is playing 9 minutes in the Spanish league). And he certainly looks worse to me than Hukporti, playing in the Australian NBL and placed in the second round of this draft.
Missi is not the most technically adept player (for example, he can improve his footwork on both ends of the floor), but I'm not sure he will ever have to be that in the NBA. His role is simple, but it can be pretty effective with his finishing at the rim (72% at the rim this season as a freshman), rebounding, screening, defending, and athleticism.
In other drafts, he might be closer to the 35-45 range (rather than #20-30 where I rank him now, although I can see why lottery teams who want a big could be interested) but I think he benefits from a weaker class where the margins between prospects are much finer.
I agree that there isn't a huge gap between Missi, Khalifa Diop, and James Nnaji - all comparable prospects with similar skillsets - but Missi plays more minutes in college, has already been in the U.S. system which NBA teams tend to like, and he doesn't have any complicated contractual situations with overseas buyouts and such.
As for Hukporti, I am high on him like I mentioned in my pre-season mock draft video. He's around #30-35 on my current big board, but I give Missi the slight edge because I believe they would play very similar NBA roles and Missi is 2 years younger (plus Hukporti has been a pro for much longer so he might have less upside), has no injury history, and is more explosive.
Missi is doing three things, but he is doing them very well and those three things are the most important things for center. Rebounding, rim protecting and opening in pick 'en roll. It's nice when center can shoot the threes, post up, pass, but those three things are basics
Amp the echo down 25% . Great analysis
He is a quick learner.Just watch !!
First
MIAMI back up next year
I’m not sure Miami drafts a big honestly
@@FloorandCeiling They should move off herro, flip him for some wings, Draft missi back up 5 and a PG in the 2nd round
Spurs pick at 7
I want the Spurs to get a point guard, so I could see Reed Sheppard fitting in there. They'd have the size around him, at least, to I think make some of his improvement points less visible.
Also, the idea could be that he still plays as more of an off-ball guard since the likes of Devin Vassell and Jeremy Sochan will also be pushing the ball up the court and, of course, Wemby will have the ball in his hands a lot.
pelicans with the Lakers Pick......Lol
Wouldn't mind this, but my favorite big for the Pelicans is Donovan Clingan and my favorite fit for them overall is probably Reed Sheppard.
🎯
The Orlando Magic need to take a good look at him.
He'd be pretty interesting on the Magic and juuuust about in their draft range. Drafting a center makes sense for Orlando, especially if they don't keep Goga Bitadze after this summer when he's an unrestricted free agent. I also like Izan Almansa as a potential target.
@@FloorandCeiling You're exactly right 💯.
I'm a big fan of Ware also
He’s more like Damian Jones
He’s in that archetype
Red flag - Poor standing vertical on the tape. With his measurables he should be more vertical off a standstill, but he can bare get above the rim. His jumping comes off movement or having a lot of time to load prior. Same issue that Ayton has. Everyone expected him to be more physically dominant, but reality proved he doesn't play above the rim unless he has room to get two steps first.
This is an interesting perspective. Gonna keep an eye on this and check back in.
Come to spurs.
I think the Spurs will prefer a ballhandler, especially that high in the draft, and also that they should build out their project with Victor Wembanyama as the 5. Rob Dillingham would be a really fun pick for them imo.
Plus, San Antonio seemingly has some belief for now in Dom Barlow, Charles Bassey, and Zach Collins as backup bigs even if they're all movable to an extent.
Jaxson Hayes 2.0 I hope my pels don’t draft him
I don't really like the fit in NOLA.
Derek lively bro😮
This is literally what we need at the center position speed in rim protecting.
🙄 this is just Mitchell Robinson all over again. Jut a lob threat and rim runner 🥱. In other words a complete liability on offense. So if you just want a defender, rebounder and screen setter…this kid is your man.
Limited player of course, but Mitchell Robinson is a key player for one of the best teams in the NBA right now
Lol what do u think Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic grow on trees? When he’s healthy Mitchell Robinson is a top 20 center in the league. Idiot
Mitchell Robinson is a player that just about every team would love to have in their rotation.
@@FloorandCeilingthis dude is more mobile than Robinson and has more potential he’s only been playing three years and he’s more aggressive and has some sort of handle
That’s what the pelicans need tho is someone who is mobile enough to guard the P+R on defense and rim run after. Jonas and nance got abused in the P+R by every decent guard last year. Everything you mentioned is what they need. All he really needs on offense is a decent 15 footer and short hook, doesn’t need to be Hakeem to make an impact on the offensive end
No low post treat.... Average baller
I think I'm a bit lower on Missi than the consensus.
Shutup
Centers that can’t shoot even middys are not high level starters in the league. Those guys are glorified backups like a Looney. Even the Capela and Adams are getting fazed out for bigs that are more capable. The only big like that will have a job for a while is Gobert and he’s a generational overpay
I think the sell on Missi, beyond his above-the-rim athleticism on both ends, is that he's a truly interesting finisher at the rim and that he's shown some scarce ballhandling flashes. That, combined with his defensive tools, gives him a safe outcome in a draft class considered to be shakier. Still, I hear your concerns.
Please stop talking if u don’t know ball
