Hi Chef RV! I agree Rokkasen is highly recommended! We ate there last April 2023. I noticed yun sa Shabu shabu nyo puro sabaw lang. You should have ordered yun mga ingredients for shabu shabu like the noodles and veggies hindi yin beef lang. And you can also have the sukiyaki base soup if you want and same as the shabu shabu, order the noodles,veggies and the beef. Nanghinayang lang ako para sa inyo na hindi nyo nalagyan ng ingredients yun shabu shabu nyo. Next time you go there you know na. Happy eating and travelling! 😊

Maganda rin na mag bus kasi makikita mo ang ibang scenery ng lugar. Ma-appreciate mo at kahit mahaba ang oras it is a part of travelinng. Kapag nasa shinkansen ka o bullet train eh mabilis nga at hindi makikita ang mga lugar na hinuntuan. Kaya kung sasakay ng bus, ihanda sa sarili ang salitang travel. Saka hindi basta bus lang ito. Maganda ang bus ng pang mahabang biyahe. It is not a common bus. And sa loob ng Shinkasnsen especially JR ay okay kumain sa loob at meron silang dining room din. The Nozomi is a train service that runs between Tokyo and Fukuoka stations and uses the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen bullet train lines, and is operated by JR Central and JR West. The Nozomi train service is one of the few trains not included in the JR Pass, though plenty of alternatives are available.

Chef RV, dapat po nag purchase na lang kayo ng JR pass prior sa departure mo, may good for 1 week,2 weeks and so on..mas makakatipid po kayo kahit ilang beses kayong sumakay ng Shinkansen and other transportation covered by JR, ipapakita mo lang sa ticket booth bago kayo sumakayI just forgot how much kasi 2019 pa last tour ko ng Japan...super tipid sa trans fare kasi pati local train, nagagamit po...panay lang po ang sakay namin , no hassle na, umabot pa kami ng Hiroshima from Tokyo and vice versa just using JR Pass at no added cost.

Nung nag-shinkansen kami Chef, PhP 10K 😭 Pero from Kyoto to Tokyo naman yun na mga 8hrs daw if via bus. If mahaba pa bakasyon, parang oks din marananasan yung by bus para makita mo na halos whole Japan.

Pag sa Tokyo mahirap makita Mt. Fuji. Kaya pumunta ako sa Suzioka (by bus) umikot pa bus paikot sa Mt. Fuji. Tapos nung nag-stop bus for break, paglingon ko parang kapitbahay lang, kitang-kita siya.
I'm sorry pero, the travel vlogs are getting a lot more interesting than the cooking shows and other stuff, tha'ts all i'm really waiting for in your vlogs, hopefully you can continue doing that or someone cast you on a travel cooking and eating show, anyhow, more power. - recent fan here.
