If a boss expects me to do work outside of my contracted hours theyre going to find out real quick that i have a new job and im not giving them any notice
It's "acceptable" sure, but I wouldn't be so proud about it. Only someone who actually spends 100% of their work hour 100% working can answer this with this level of entitlement. I don't think anyone honest can say that they work exactly 100% of their work hours, no personal messages responded to, no using work computers during work hours to plan for the weekend out. So if a colleague or a boss who cares enough to text you while they aren't on the clock either needs some quick pointer to something you can help with, maybe just help? If it's the weekend, it's the weekend for them too, if it's after work hour, it's after work hour for them as well, and often these are not stakeholders or employers, they're just colleagues or the manager you report to, who are just employees like you who happen to care a little more. This is probably partly why our country's always behind the Americans at many things, actually being sincere for your work is looked down on, having a passion for your vocation isn't expected, and it's lame to try hard. Having worked with Americans, our sarcastic, too cool to try and can't wait for the weekend attitude is probably why we fall behind on so many things, and probably why Americans are often paid double for the same work we do in so many professional fields.

Love the attitude of the first girl
Yeah no shot, you will not hear from me. Ever. If I'm not getting payed you will not get a single millisecond of my time
Personally I would reply if its something quick, and im not doing anything important, but I wouldnt say you have too
100%. If a boss expected me to though I’d switch off immediately.
@@DrLukeHart agree
Yes you should answer them if your off !! Only if you haven't got a life though.🤔.
Historically I’d have answered them. Now, nah.
I've chosen not to have access to work emails outside work. Nobody ever needs me outside my working hours anyway.
Working is for mugs 😂
I do if its not bothersome, I love my coworkers and they dont deserve to be slowed down when were understaffed and over worked.
That's the fault of the employer for being understaffed.
It’s give and take. Not just take
why does the first girl look so wierd when talking
you are over analysing someone on the internet. you are the weird one brother!
You weird

Not acceptable imo

least worker-hating reagan lover
I get paid to work, outside the hours I am being paid for, I don't work. Being forced to work for no salary is called slavery.
🥾👅
Okay wagie, get back to work then
